MEDICAMENT DELIVERY DEVICE WITH USAGE MONITORING
A medicament delivery device is presented having a housing that is arranged to accommodate a medicament container, a drive unit operably arranged to act on the medicament container upon activation, an activation mechanism operably arranged to be operated by a user, an activation preventing mechanism operably arranged to prevent the activation mechanism to be activated, an usage management module arranged to be operated by a user, which usage management module is designed as an attachable unit to the medicament delivery device. First keying elements are arranged on the device and on the usage management module designed to interact with each other when attaching said usage management module, such as to cause a deactivation of the activation preventing mechanism to allow operation of the activation mechanism. The usage management module can include a monitoring circuit arranged to monitor the use of the medicament delivery device.
Activator for a medicament delivery device
A medicament delivery device is presented that has a manually operable activator element, an activator blocker operably arranged to the activator element, where the activator blocker defines at least one locking member. A medicament delivery device housing is included having at least one flexible hook, wherein the at least one flexible hook of the medicament delivery device housing is operably between a locked position and an unlocked position. In the locked position the flexible hook is releasably engaged with the at least one locking member of the activator blocker, thereby preventing operation of said activator element and in the unlocked position the flexible hook is out of engagement with the at least one locking member of the activator blocker, thereby allowing operation of said activator element.
System and method for safety syringe
A system for injecting includes a syringe body defining a proximal opening and a distal needle interface. The system also includes a plunger member defining a plunger interior and configured to be manually manipulated to insert a stopper member relative to the syringe body. The plunger member includes a needle retention feature disposed in the plunger interior, an energy-storage member disposed in the plunger interior, and an energy-storage member latching member disposed in the plunger interior. The system further includes a needle hub assembly coupled to the distal needle interface of the syringe body. The needle assembly includes a needle having a needle proximal end feature, a hub, and a needle latching member configured to couple the needle to the hub. The needle is retractable into plunger interior upon manipulation of the plunger member to actuate the energy-storage member latching member.
SYRINGE WITH PRIMING MECHANISM
Syringes are described herein. A syringe includes a syringe body, a first plunger, a biasing member, and a retention member. The syringe body defines a syringe cavity and a syringe port, wherein the syringe port is in fluid communication with the syringe cavity. The first plunger comprises a first plunger shaft extending from the first plunger, the first plunger disposed within the syringe cavity and defining a first chamber in the syringe cavity, wherein the first chamber is in fluid communication with the syringe port. The biasing member is coupled to the first plunger shaft, wherein the biasing member urges the first plunger to advance toward the syringe port. The retention mechanism prevents the biasing member from advancing the first plunger in an engaged position and permits the biasing member to advance the first plunger in a released position.
Auto-Injector
An auto-injector for administering a dose of a liquid medicament (M) is presented having an elongate case, a carrier subassembly comprising a tubular carrier slidably arranged inside the case, where the carrier adapted to contain a syringe with a hollow injection needle. The injector also has, a drive spring and a plunger for forwarding load of the drive spring to a stopper of the syringe, wherein the syringe is lockable for joint axial translation with the carrier. A control spring is arranged around the carrier for translating the carrier in a proximal direction (P) for advancing the needle beyond a proximal end of the auto-injector, and a trigger button is used for releasing the control spring on actuation.
Syringe stopper and plunger rod arrangement for a syringe assembly
A syringe assembly includes a substantially cylindrical syringe barrel including a fluid dispensing end, an open end, and at least one protrusion adjacent the open end, the at least one protrusion projecting inwardly from an inner surface of the syringe barrel, a stopper configured to be received within the open end of the syringe barrel, and a plunger rod having a plunger rod body extending along a longitudinal axis from a proximal end to a distal end and at least one support disk provided on the distal end thereof. The support disk on the plunger rod is configured to bear against the protrusion of the syringe barrel upon misalignment of the plunger rod in the syringe barrel.
Dosing Mechanism with Rotational End Stop Mechanism for Terminating Dose Dispense
The present disclosure relates to a dosing mechanism for a drug delivery device for selecting and dispensing a number of user-variable doses of a medicament. The dosing mechanism comprises a housing, a piston rod, and a driving mechanism for rotating the piston rod and/or a movement application component, which is directly engaged with the piston rod, in a dispense rotational direction with respect to the housing for dose dispense. The dosing mechanism further comprises a rotational end stop mechanism for terminating dose dispense with a first engagement means, which is rotationally fixed with respect to the piston rod and/or the movement application component, and a second engagement means, which is prevented from rotation with respect to the housing in the dispense rotational direction at an end of dose dispense. In order to improve the dose delivery accuracy, the second engagement means directly engages the first engagement means. disclosure
AUTOINJECTOR WITH DISCHARGE STOP
An autoinjector having a housing for receiving a product container, a propelling member, a drive for automatically discharging a liquid product, a needle-guard spring for pretensioning a needle-guard sleeve, a grid with a multiplicity of latch elements arranged along the longitudinal direction, and an engagement element which, by engagement in the grid, blocks a discharging movement of the propelling member. A control element of the autoinjector interacts with the engagement element via a control cam such that, when the control element moves in the distal direction by the needle-guard spring, the engagement element is brought into engagement with the grid. Since the force of the needle-guard spring is used for the engagement, the engagement element can be mounted without specific elastic force acting in an engagement direction, and can also be mounted in an articulated manner and/or in a manner limited to pure guidance in the engagement direction.
Palm Activated Drug Delivery Device
Disclosed is a device for the parenteral delivery of a medication, such as a drug. The device includes upper and lower housings in which the upper housing is configured to move relative to the lower housing as a result of application of an external force to permit the user of the device to control the rate at which the drug is administered.
