A drug delivery drive mechanism including a ratchet wheel including a plurality of teeth, a ratchet arm including a first prong and a second prong, wherein the first prong is operable interact with a tooth of the plurality of teeth to rotate the ratchet wheel in a circular direction, and the second prong is operable to interact with another tooth of the plurality of teeth to further rotate the ratchet wheel in the circular direction.

Micro-metering device with constant flow rate

A micro-metering device with a constant flow rate, including a rotary shear valve, a mounting seat, a rotation drive assembly, an injection drive assembly and a controller. The rotary shear valve includes a valve main body and a valve spool. The valve main body is provided with a main flow channel and a plurality of branch flow channels. The valve spool is rotatably arranged inside the valve main body, and is configured to communicate the main flow channel with different branch flow channels. A pressure sensor is provided inside the valve main body, and is communicated with the main flow channel. The pressure sensor is configured for detecting a pressure inside the main flow channel. Whether the switching of the liquid path is correct is determined according to the pressure in the main flow channel.

Compact auto-injector

A novel single use auto-injector for delivering a fixed amount of medicament is described. The auto-injector may include a sealed housing rotatably held in a cover. Once the auto-injector is positioned at the injection location, the user can transition the housing from a locked to an armed position. The user can then compress the sealed housing into the cover, triggering activation mechanisms that initiate the injection. A first activation mechanism engages an interlock to prevent reuse of the auto-injector. A second activation mechanism straightens and extends a curved needle to a set the exposed needle length. A third activation mechanism pierces a sealed reservoir allowing the medicament to be forced through the injection needle. Following the injection, the auto-injector expands and interlocks, retracting the needle into the auto-injector and preventing reuse.

DEVICES, SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MEDICAMENT DELIVERY

A method includes moving an actuation lock of a medical injector from a first position to a second position. The actuation lock has an extended portion disposed between a shoulder of a housing and the base when the actuation lock is in the first position. The extended portion is spaced apart from the base when the actuation lock is in the second position. A distal end portion of a base, which is movably coupled to an end portion of the housing, is placed into contact with a body. The base is actuated after the placing to release an energy from an energy storage member within the housing to produce a force to move a needle from a first needle position to a second needle position. At least a portion of the needle extends through the base when the needle is in the second needle position.

Autoinjector having needle shield triggering

An autoinjector (100) for expelling a single dose of drug from a drug cartridge (600) including a piston (630), the autoinjector including: a base (200, 220), a needle (500) that is fixedly mounted relative to the base (200, 220), a plunger (310, 320, 400) adapted for cooperation with the piston (630), an actuating spring (330) provided as a helical compression spring arranged to act on the plunger (310, 320, 400) by exerting an axial force on the plunger to drive the piston (630) distally, and a needle shield (350, 380) axially movable relative to the base (200, 220) between an extended position and a collapsed position. The autoinjector defines a lock (320, 328, 380, 388) that is released when the needle shield (350, 380) is moved from the extended position to the collapsed position. The lock (320, 328, 380, 388) releases to enable relative rotation between plunger thread (325) and base thread (205) causing release of the plunger (310, 320, 400) from the initial axial position and expelling the dose of the drug.
