DUAL CHAMBER SYRINGE AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF
A dual chamber syringe, comprising a syringe barrel having a forward end, a rearward end and at least one bypass protrusion arranged along the longitudinal extent of the syringe barrel; a finger grip element coupled to the rearward end of the syringe barrel, the finger grip comprises at least one protrusion extending radially inwardly from an inner surface thereof; a plunger rod operatively coupled with the finger grip element; a guiding track is formed on the plunger rod and comprises a helical track portion and a longitudinal track portion; and wherein upon relative displacement of the plunger rod and said finger grip element, the at least one protrusion is guided along the guiding track.
Drug Reconstitution System
A system including an adapter for sequential engagement with a cartridge containing a first substance and a vial containing a second substance is disclosed. The adapter is configured to first engage with the vial and subsequently engage with the cartridge such that the cartridge is in fluid communication with the vial via the adapter. The system includes a latch member engageable with a portion of the cartridge. A plunger rod includes a protrusion and is adapted to communicate with the latch member, the plunger rod being transitionable from a disengaged position, in which the protrusion of the plunger rod is disengaged from the latch member and the latch member is locked to the cartridge, to an engaged position, in which the protrusion is engaged with the latch member and the latch member is unlocked from the cartridge and locked to the plunger rod.
Antipathogenic Compositions
Compositions useful as bone fillers or dental composites are provided which may include a sterilizing agent.
Syringe for mixing two components and for retaining a vacuum in a storage condition
A syringe for mixing two substances which have been retained separately inside the syringe is described, for instance in a storage condition. The syringe is used for 1) retaining a dry composition in a vacuum, and 2) mixing the dry composition with an aqueous medium to form a flowable substance. One embodiment, a syringe for retaining and mixing first and second substances comprises a barrel comprising a sealable and/or closable distal outlet and a vacuum chamber for holding a first substance, a plunger incorporating a reservoir chamber for holding a second substance and configured to be axially displaced through a proximal end of the barrel, a membrane separating the vacuum chamber and the reservoir chamber, and a pointed member, such as one or more needles, for penetrating the membrane, wherein the syringe is configured such that the membrane and the pointed member are axially slidable in relation to each other.
System and method for safety syringe
One embodiment is directed to a system for injecting, comprising a syringe body defining an interior medicine chamber; a stopper member configured to be inserted into the interior medicine chamber to contain medicine within the medicine chamber; a plunger member configured to be manually manipulated to insert the stopper member relative to the syringe body; and a needle having proximal and distal ends, the proximal end comprising an anchoring geometry configured to be at least partially inserted into the stopper member such that upon retraction of the stopper member, the needle is pulled proximally along with the stopper to be at least partially contained within the interior medicine chamber.
Liquid medicine injection apparatus capable of injecting additional fluid after completion of liquid medicine injection
A liquid medicine injection apparatus capable of injecting an additional fluid after completion of injection of a liquid medicine is provided. The apparatus includes a cylinder elongated in a direction and having a nozzle formed at one end of the cylinder; a piston installed to be hermetically movable within the cylinder in the direction; an injector provided at the other end of the cylinder to allow the piston to be moved; a fluid tank for storing a fluid in a sealed state; a needle unit disposed between the nozzle and the fluid tank; and a cap member provided between the needle unit and the fluid tank and deformable to allow the needle unit to penetrate the fluid tank.
SEQUENCED SYRINGE ASSEMBLY
Syringe assemblies are described herein. A syringe assembly includes an assembly housing, a first syringe, a second syringe, and a connecting gear. The first syringe is disposed within the assembly housing. Each plunger is movable within the respective syringe cavity and defines a respective chamber in the respective syringe cavity, wherein the respective chamber is in fluid communication with the respective syringe port, the respective plunger comprising a respective gear rack extending longitudinally along the respective plunger. The connecting gear is rotatably coupled to the assembly housing. The connecting gear is configured to be in meshed engagement with at least one of the first gear rack and the second gear rack of the syringes.
SYRINGE
Described herein are syringe caps including a plug portion and a protruding member extending from one end of the plug portion. The protruding member can extend a length greater than a depth of an accumulated component in the syringe.
KIT FOR THE SUCCESSIVE AND COAXIAL INJECTION OF A MEDICAMENT
A kit for subsequent injection and/or subsequent insertion of at least one medical substance in the fluid or liquid state and/or of at least one element in a human body injection or insertion site. The kit includes a first syringe element and at least one second syringe element. The first syringe element includes an internally hollow cylindrical body, a plunger and a first needle. The plunger is suitable to slide inside the cylindrical body in use. The at least one second syringe element includes a piston and a second needle. The at least one medical substance is inserted into the cylindrical body and the first syringe element is suitable to house, at least partially therein, the at least one second syringe element or the second needle is suitable to pass through the plunger in use.
INJECTABLE PRESENTATIONS, SYRINGES AND COMPOSITIONS WITH SUSTAINED AND/OR CONTROLLED RELEASE OF LANREOTIDE
The present invention relates to novel injectable presentations, kits or syringes comprising a composition with sustained or controlled release of lanreotide or one of the salts thereof. The compositions of lanreotide or one of the salts thereof are packaged in a syringe having a diameter greater than 3.00 mm and provided with a needle having an outer diameter no greater than 1.00 mm.
