A drug delivery device comprises a medication container containing medication for delivery and a detachable unit having an electronic circuit with a microprocessor. The electronic circuit is open and non-operational when the detachable component is assembled on the drug delivery device; and the electronic circuit is closed and operational when the detachable component is detached from the drug delivery device. The detachment of the detachable unit is an essential step to operate the drug delivery device. The detachable unit can be an activation protection cap or a needle shield remover for an autoinjector device. Alternatively, the detachable unit can be a needle shield remover for a pre-filled syringe.

A housing for a medicament delivery device is presented having a shell extending along an axis in an axial direction from a proximal end to a distal end, and a medicament delivery member guard moveably attached to the shell. The medicament delivery member guard extends in the axial direction from a proximal end to a distal end. The shell has a slit extending in the axial direction and the medicament delivery member guard has a protrusion extending in the axial direction, and/or the medicament delivery member guard has a slit extending in the axial direction and the shell has a protrusion extending in the axial direction. The medicament delivery member guard is configured to move in the axial direction from a first axial position relative to the shell (12) to a second axial position relative to the shell.

COVER ASSEMBLY

A cover assembly that covers a medicament delivery member of a medicament container. The assembly having a housing extending along a longitudinal axis, a proximal end and a distal end. A cover member bi-directionally movable along the longitudinal axis relative to the housing, where the cover member has a tubular portion arranged to protrude from the proximal end of the housing, a biasing element arranged between the housing and the cover member configured to move the cover member, a locking member having a fixed end which is pivotally arranged to the housing and a free end which is releasably connected to the cover member. The cover assembly also has an actuator unit connected to the housing configured to interact with the free end of the locking member such that the locking member is able to lock and unlock the cover member in different positions.

EMERGENCY AUTOMATIC INJECTION DEVICE

An automatic injection device for use with a syringe including at least one syringe piston and a needle coupled to a forward end thereof, comprising a housing element arranged along a longitudinal axis and having a forward end and a rearward end; at least one resilient element arranged to be located within the housing element; a needle shield selectably positionable with respect to the housing element; and a control unit adapted, when actuated, to be driven by the at least one resilient element for initially displacing the syringe relative to the housing element from a non-penetration position to a penetration position and thereafter displacing the at least one syringe piston in the syringe to effect drug delivery, and wherein the control unit is configured to be actuated upon axial rearward displacement of the needle shield with respect to the housing element.

PRIMARY CONTAINER ASSEMBLY WITH INTEGRATED FLUID PATH

A primary container assembly includes a primary container defining a body having a proximal end defining an opening configured to receive a plunger, a distal end opposite the proximal end and defining an outlet, and a chamber extending from the proximal end to the distal end that is configured to receive a drug. The primary container assembly further comprises a tube extending from a first end that is integrally attached to the distal end of the primary container to a second end opposite the first end, where the tube defines a channel extending from the first end to the second end. The primary container assembly also includes a hollow needle configured to penetrate skin of a patient.

Body contour adaptable autoinjector device

An injector for delivering a therapeutic product may include a base having a flexible surface that conforms to various body contours of a patient and defines one or more an injection chambers. The injector may have a height that is substantially less than its width, thereby defining a low profile, which provides a larger more stable base that can pinch or stretch the skin in a controlled manner. The larger base can also accommodate larger volumes via multiple injection chambers and/or large combined primary containers.
