Needle attachment and detachment assist device
A needle attachment and detachment assist device includes a frame body, a syringe guide jig, and a needle guide jig. A guide hole is formed in the syringe guide jig. In the needle guide jig, a needle insertion hole is formed on a central axis of the guide hole. The needle insertion hole includes a center hole portion and a rib guide groove. When a syringe is inserted into the guide hole, and a needle member is further inserted into the needle insertion hole, rotation prevention of the needle member is achieved. In this state, when the syringe is rotated in a first direction, the needle member can be clamped to a thread portion of the syringe. When the syringe is rotated in a second direction, the needle member can be loosened.
Gripper Apparatus For Cannulas
The invention relates to a gripper apparatus for a cannulation robot and for gripping a cannula having a cannula holder. The gripper apparatus comprises two gripper elements and a moving device. The two gripper elements can be moved relative to each other and work in concert to grip the cannula holder. The moving device is designed to move the two gripper elements relative to each other and at least one of the gripper elements relative to the cannula holder. The gripper apparatus can thereby be brought into a gripping state, in which at least one of the gripper elements is engaged with the cannula holder, by means of the moving device.
SYRINGE NEEDLE RETAINER AND CAP ASSEMBLY
A syringe cap and needle assembly includes a needle retainer, a needle member secured within the needle retainer, and a cap. The needle member further includes an exterior needle end that extends outside of a forward end of the needle retainer. The cap is configured to slideably move with respect to the needle retainer between at least a first position and a second position. in the first position, the cap substantially surrounds the exterior needle end. In the first position and the second position, the cap substantially surrounds at least a portion of the needle retainer. in the second position, at least a portion of the exterior needle end is not surrounded by the cap.
Living hinge needle assembly for medicament delivery device
A multi-pack assembly for containing and dispensing one or more new pen needles, and receiving and containing used pen needles after use, is provided, wherein a plurality of both new and used pen needles can be contained in a series of storage vessels, each secured to an adjacent storage vessel thereby forming an easily managed multi-pack assembly shape, and providing caps for each individual pen needle storage vessel to provide a sterility barrier and which can be opened independently of one another, and which can be closed in the same manner after use to prevent unwanted interaction with the used pen needles contained therein.
Retractable needle assemblies
A retractable needle assembly comprises a body portion, a needle having a patient end and being movable between an operational position in which the needle extends along a longitudinal needle axis with the patient end projecting forwardly from said body portion, and a safe position in which said patient end is retracted into said body portion, a deflector element rotatable about a deflector rotary axis generally perpendicular to said needle axis to move the needle to its safe position, and a manually operated deflector lever connected to or forming part of said deflector element, the deflector lever projecting from said body portion and intersecting a plane perpendicular to the deflector rotary axis and containing the needle axis.
Syringe assembly
A syringe assembly includes a plunger assembly, a syringe body, and a needle. The plunger assembly includes a plunger rod, a spring, a plunger base, and a plunger plug. The plunger rod includes a first end member having a first stepped part positioned in an inner wall thereof, a second end member, and a first accommodating room. The plunger base includes a plunger body, a projection, a second stepped part, a plunger member, and a locating member. The plunger body is received in the first accommodating room, and the projection abuts against the first end member. The spring is arranged around the plunger body and positioned between the first stepped part and the second stepped part. The plunger plug is mounted to the second end member, and defines a fixing groove. The syringe body includes a needle cannula, a needle base, a fixing pole, and a fixing valve. The plunger assembly is received in the needle cannula. The needle base is mounted to the needle cannula. The fixing valve is received in the needle base. The fixing pole is received in the fixing valve and protrudes out of the needle base. The needle is received in the fixing pole. The syringe assembly of the present invention is prevented from reuse and accidently damage because the needle can retract into the plunger rod using restoring force of the spring.
Autoinjector
An injector such as a needle-type autoinjector having a flexible flange disposed at an injection end of the injector for stretching or pinching the skin of the injection site. The flexible flange may be removably attached to the injector or integrated into the injector during manufacturing. Further, an injector having a palm button disposed at an activation end of the injector for activating an injection cycle of the injector. The palm button may be removably attached to the injector or integrated into the injector during manufacturing. Still further, a holding device for one-handed operation of an injector, the holding device having a sleeve and at least one hand rest coupled to the sleeve, the sleeve and hand rest providing ergonomic holding and operation of the injector. Still further, autoinjector needle shield having an enlarged, rounded lip for contacting the skin at the injection site.
Tamper-evident pen needle outer cover
A pen needle outer cover (10) has a molded plastic distal cover (20), and a molded plastic proximal cover (22) in place of the conventional paper-foil label. The proximal cover (22) may be snap-fit over the opening of the distal cover (20). A user-separable section (26) with a finger pull tab (32) is defined by a reduced-thickness membrane (24), which functions as a tear line to allow that section (26) to at least partially separate from the proximal cover (22). A living hinge (27) may be provided to keep the user-separable section (26) from completely separating from the proximal cover (22). The finger pull tab (32) may be configured to enable re-covering of a pen needle (30) that is still within the outer cover (10).
Hypodermic needle assembly identification and related methods
A needle assembly for a hypodermic syringe is disclosed herein. In various aspects, the needle assembly includes a hub and a needle. A bond secures the needle to the hub, and the bond is configured to break allowing the needle to be withdrawn entirely from the hub upon application of a selected axial force to the needle, in various aspects. The axial force may be less than the tensile strength of the needle. Related methods of use of the needle assembly apparatus are disclosed herein. This Abstract is presented to meet requirements of 37 C.F.R. 1.72(b) only. This Abstract is not intended to identify key elements of the apparatus and the related methods disclosed herein or to delineate the scope thereof.
Device for rotating an object
Stabbing accidents are prone to occur to people handling needles, for example when recapping a needle or when trying to remove a needle from a syringe. A device is provided for safe and automatic removal of a needle from a syringe aimed to prevent stabbing accidents. The device is arranged to grab hold of and rotate the needle of a syringe. The needle, after being rotate off the syringe is discarded into the device by releasing the grip on the needle. The device rotates two rotating gears relative to each other to move grippers towards the needle, and rotates the two gears together to rotate the needle relative to the syringe which may be held by the user.
