SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SAFETY SYRINGE

A system for serially injecting liquids includes a syringe body, proximal and distal stopper members disposed in the syringe body, a first liquid in a distal chamber, a second liquid in a proximal chamber, a plunger member, and a needle hub assembly coupled to a distal needle interface of the syringe body. The plunger member includes a needle retention feature disposed in a plunger interior, an energy-storage member disposed in the plunger interior, and an energy-storage member latching member disposed in the plunger interior. The needle assembly includes a needle having a needle proximal end feature, a hub, and a needle latching member configured to couple the needle to the hub. Manipulating the plunger member to insert the proximal stopper member distally relative to the syringe body initially expels the first liquid, then the second liquid. The needle is at least partially retractable into plunger interior.

A SAFETY SYRINGE HAVING A RETRACTING NEEDLE AND BEING PRE-FILLABLE WITH TWO ACTIVE INGREDIENTS

The single-use safety syringe having a manual and/or automatic retracting needle preventing re-use thereof comprises a needle, a piston with a tightening seal and a cylindrical body having, at an end thereof, a connector provided with a calibrated attaching hole for the needle and open, at another end thereof, for inserting the piston, comprising, internally of the cylindrical body, a separating seal of a first chamber comprised between the separating seal and the connector in which a first active ingredient is positioned and a second chamber comprised between the separating seal and the tightening seal in which a second active ingredient is positioned, the separating seal having a connecting channel between the first and second chamber, closed by a pressure limiting valve, first engaging means further being provided, activatable for engaging the separating seal to the needle and second engaging means activatable for engaging the separating seal to the piston.

MIXING AND INJECTION SYSTEM INCLUDING A TRACKING SENSOR

A medical device includes a handle having a first end and a second end, a mixer positioned within the handle and an adapter coupled to the second end of the handle. A delivery needle includes a distal end, a proximal end, and a lumen extending from the distal end to the proximal end. The proximal end of the delivery needle is coupled to the first end of the handle. A sensor cable includes a distal end and a proximal end, and the proximal end of the sensor cable is positioned within the handle, and the distal end extends distally through the lumen of the delivery needle.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PRODUCING MIXTURES

A system includes a first cavity with an open upper proximal end and a distal end including a plurality of ports. A second cavity can be concentric with and advanceable through the open upper proximal end of the first cavity. The second cavity can include an open upper proximal end. A plunger can be on a distal end of the second cavity. The plunger can be configured to move a first constituent from the first cavity through at least one of the plurality of ports. A plunger rod can be advanceable through the open upper proximal end of the second cavity and configured to move a second constituent from the first cavity through at least one of the plurality of ports.

INJECTION SYSTEM AND METHOD

An injection system includes an injection system body defining a proximal opening at a proximal end thereof and a distal needle interface at a distal end thereof. The system also includes proximal and distal stopper members disposed in the injection system body, forming a proximal drug and a distal drug chamber. The system further includes a plunger member configured to insert the proximal stopper member relative to the injection system body. Moreover, the system includes a valve forming an openable barrier between the distal needle interface and the distal drug chamber. The valve includes an outer member including a distal diaphragm, and an inner member. The distal diaphragm is configured to elastically deform distally away from the inner member with increased pressure in the distal drug chamber to allow flow from the distal drug chamber to the distal needle interface.

ADAPTER MANIFOLD FOR MULTI-BARREL SYRINGE APPLICATOR

An adapter manifold and syringe applicator, wherein the adapter body has substantially parallel inlet ports and substantially parallel exit ports, the inlet ports spaced an axial distance apart which is different from an axial distance between the exit ports, to accommodate the syringe applicator which has multiple substantially parallel syringes, and substantially parallel syringe connectors in fluid communication with the inlet ports having Luer-type receivers on proximal ends thereof, wherein the syringe connectors are biased toward a proximal end of the adapter body.

Needle assembly for mixing of substances

In one aspect of the invention, a needle assembly is provided, including: a body having a proximal end, a distal end, and a channel located therebetween, the body being configured to be mounted to an injector; a needle fixed to the body, the needle having proximal and distal ends, the distal end extending distally from the distal end of the body and being formed for insertion into a patient, the proximal end of the needle being in communication with the channel; and, a filter disposed in the channel proximally of the proximal end of the needle. Advantageously, a needle assembly is provided which permits mixing of at least two substances in preparation for injection, without modification to the associated injector.

An apparatus and method for delivery of fluids, particularly biological, reactive fluids. The apparatus provides an opening when force is acted on the apparatus, and closure when no force is acted thereon. The apparatus provides a cleaning mechanism to remove fluids and other materials from a mixing space after use.

Medical plug delivery devices with a rotatable magazine and related components and methods

Medical devices for delivering compositions or medical articles to a patient are disclosed. The medical plug delivery devices can include a fluid delivery device (e.g., a syringe), a frame, and a rotatable magazine. The rotatable magazine can include a plurality of chambers that each hold a composition or a medical article (e.g., a medical plug). By rotating the rotatable magazine relative to the frame, material within the chambers of the rotatable magazine can be sequentially deployed to a patient.
