APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING AEROSOLIZED POWDER DELIVERY
The invention provides an apparatus for use in aerosolized delivery of a powder, and comprises a first chamber containing gas at a first pressure higher than atmospheric pressure, and a second chamber containing gas at a second pressure higher than atmospheric pressure. The apparatus also comprises a powder, contained within the first or second chamber. The first chamber has a first external wall and a separating wall, the separating wall being shared with the second chamber. The first external wall or the separating wall is configured to rupture if the pressure difference across it becomes equal to or greater than a threshold pressure difference. In particular, the apparatus is configured so that the difference between the second pressure and atmospheric pressure is greater than the threshold pressure difference. In an initial state, the apparatus is configured such that the difference between the second pressure and the first pressure is less than the pressure difference required to rupture the separating wall, and the difference between the first pressure and atmospheric pressure is less than the pressure difference required to rupture the first external wall.
Device for dispensing a fluid product
A fluid dispenser device having a dispenser head; an air expeller; and a reservoir containing a single dose of fluid. The reservoir includes a proximal axial end and a distal axial end, and is removably mounted so that after the device has been actuated, the empty reservoir can be removed from the device and replaced by a new full reservoir. The air expeller is adapted to return to its rest position to enable a new actuation with the new full reservoir. The dispenser head includes a proximal perforator tip to perforate the proximal axial end of the reservoir. The device includes a movable perforator member that slides axially around the dispenser head between a loading position and an actuation position and includes a distal perforator tip adapted to perforate the distal axial end of the reservoir when the movable perforator member is moved into its actuation position.
METHOD FOR QUALITATIVE AND/OR QUANTITATIVE DETECTION OF SUBSTANCES CONTAINED IN A HEMP PLANT AND KIT FOR USE THEREIN
The present invention relates to a kit comprising: a) an ampoule; b) a material comprising a hemp plant or parts thereof; and c) a color indicator capable of reacting by contacting the hemp plant and/or at least a part thereof to change the color of the color indicator, wherein the material and the color indicator are disposed in the ampoule; and a method for qualitatively and/or quantitatively detecting one or more substance(s) contained in the hemp plant using the kit.
Device for dispensing a fluid product
A fluid dispenser device comprising: a dose counter for indicating the number of doses that have been dispensed or that remain to be dispensed, said counter comprising: at least one rotary counter element provided with indicator means, such as digits or numbers, and provided with a first set of teeth and with a second set of teeth; a movable actuator element adapted to co-operate with said first set of teeth of said counter element so as to turn it; and anti-return means adapted to co-operate with said second set of teeth so as to prevent said counter element from turning in the direction opposite to the direction that is imposed by said actuator element; said anti-return means comprising a tip that is substantially V-shaped, and that, after each actuation of the counter, co-operates with a respective tooth of said second set of teeth in a blocking position, said tip comprising a first branch that is adapted to co-operate in the blocking position with a blocking shoulder of said tooth, and a second branch that is plane and adapted to co-operate with a plane surface of said teeth, said plane second branch and said plane surface being coplanar when said tip is in the blocking position, said tip being urged resiliently towards said blocking position so as to ensure accurate positioning of said counter element after each actuation of the counter.
DEVICE FOR NASAL DELIVERY OF FLUID PRODUCT
A nasal fluid dispenser device comprising: a body (10) comprising a hollow sleeve (11) and a top surface (15); and an actuator member (40) that is mounted to slide in said body (10) so as to actuate the device; the device further comprising two nasal extensions (20, 30), at least one of which forms a dispenser head provided with a respective dispenser orifice (21, 31), said nasal extensions extending from said top surface (15), each dispenser head being connected, during actuation, to a respective reservoir (50) that is arranged in said body (10), said two nasal extensions (20, 30) forming an angle lying in the range 30° to 60° relative to a longitudinal central axis (A) of said body (10).
DEVICES AND METHODS FOR DELIVERING A SUBSTANCE TO A BODY CAVITY
Methods and devices are provided for delivering one or more substances within at least one body cavity. Such devices include at least one nosepiece having at least one capsule including a volume V.sub.sub of the substances; at least one base in communication with the nosepiece, the base having at least one chamber configured to confine pressurized fluid at volume V.sub.PF and pressure P.sub.PF, and at least one hollow puncturing member having at least one sharp end and a second end in fluid communication with the base. The first and second ends are fluidly interconnected by at least one hollow tube. A fluid inlet port of the capsule is configured in terms of size and shape to interface in a sealable manner with at least one end of the at least one puncturing member.
DOSE DELIVERY DEVICE FOR INHALATION
Methods and devices for delivering a dose, such as a medicament, for inhalation. A dose may be stored by a delivery device and dispersed and delivered in a metered fashion to a subject, such as by the subject inhaling via a mouthpiece of the delivery device. One or more chambers of the device may have a toroidal shape and may be arranged to be selectively opened for fluid communication with a flow path of the delivery device, such as by sliding the chamber relative to a portion of the flow path. The flow path may include a restriction that permits air to bypass the chamber, and/or the chamber may be arranged so that fluid entering the chamber interacts with fluid exiting the chamber so as to enhance dispersion of the dose.
Medical unit dose container
A unit dose container for the containment of an intranasal formulation for use with the POD device.
DEVICE FOR DISPENSING A FLUID PRODUCT
Device for dispensing a fluid product comprising a body (1) having a dispensing opening (12) and a piercing element (4), said body (1) containing a reservoir (10) containing at least two doses of fluid product, said reservoir (10) having a proximal axial opening closed by a membrane (30) and a distal axial opening closed by a piston (20), mounted in a sliding manner in said reservoir (10) in order to dispense a dose of fluid product on each actuation, said reservoir (10) being axially movable with respect to said body (1) between a rest position, in which said piercing element (4) does not pass through said membrane (30), and a dispensing position, in which said piercing element (4) passes through said membrane (30), said membrane (30) being capable of reclosing in a sealed manner after each actuation, when said piercing element (4) comes back out from said reservoir (10), said device comprising a lateral actuation system having an actuating member (50), laterally movable with respect to said body (1) between a rest position and an actuating position, said actuating member (50) being resiliently biased towards the rest position thereof, said actuating member (50) comprising a first cam (51) cooperating with said reservoir (10) and a second cam (52) cooperating with said piston (20), such that the movement of said actuating member (50) to the actuating position thereof first moves said reservoir (10) to the dispensing position thereof then causes said piston (20) to slide in said reservoir (10), to dispense a dose of fluid product.
DRUG DELIVERY DEVICES WITH A SPINNING NOZZLE
Various exemplary drug delivery devices with a spinning nozzle, drug products utilizing the same, and methods of using drug delivery devices with a spinning nozzle are provided. In general, a nasal drug delivery device configured to dispense a drug therefrom includes a spinning nozzle configured to facilitate the drug's ejection into a patient's nose. The spinning nozzle is located between a drug holder containing the drug to be dispensed and an opening of the drug delivery device through which the drug exits the drug delivery device. The spinning nozzle is configured to spin during the drug's delivery as the drug travels from the drug holder and out of the drug delivery device. The spinning nozzle includes a plurality of perforations therein through which the drug as a liquid is configured to pass. The spinning of the spinning nozzle causes the drug to exit the drug delivery device as a fine mist.
