Fluid dispenser device
A fluid dispenser device including a body, an elongate flexible strip supporting a plurality of reservoirs, each containing a dose of fluid or powder; an reservoir-opening mechanism for opening a reservoir on actuation; a first displacement mechanism for causing the flexible strip to advance before, during and/or after actuation, so as to bring a full reservoir into register with the reservoir-opening mechanism; and a second displacement mechanism for displacing a full reservoir against the opening mechanism each actuation. The leading end of the flexible strip is fastened to a rotary receiver element, the receiver element including a set of peripheral teeth that co-operates with a movable traction member, a stressed spring acting on the movable traction member so as to displace it, the displacement of the movable traction member causing the receiver element to turn, such that the receiver element exerts a traction force on the elongate strip.
Device for dispensing a fluid product
A fluid dispenser, including a cover element; a blister strip; a blister opening mechanism; a first displacement mechanism having an indexer wheel; a second displacement mechanism pivoting between a non-dispensing position and a dispensing position; a cocking member for urging the second displacement mechanism towards the dispensing position, the cocking member spring-loaded by opening the cover; a blocking mechanism for retaining the second displacement mechanism in the non-dispensing position; a trigger mechanism for releasing the blocking mechanism; a slidable carriage displaceable between a non-indexing position and an indexing position and including an actuator co-operating with the indexer wheel; a connection mechanism activated during inhalation that connects the carriage with the cover, so as to displace said carriage towards its indexing position when the cover element is brought towards its closed position, and so as to displace said carriage towards its non-indexing position when brought towards its open position.
MEDICAMENT DISPENSER FOR HOLDING ELONGATE FORM MEDICAMENT CARRIER AND METHOD OF ASSEMBLING THEREOF
Disclosed is a medicament dispenser for holding at least one elongate form medicament carrier. The elongate form medicament carrier has proximal and distal ends, and blister and lid elongate sheets enclosing multiple distinct medicament dose portions therebetween. The medicament dispenser has a dispensing mechanism which is adapted to operate, upon each actuation thereof, to dispense medicament active from the medicament dose portion. Moreover, the mechanism has at least one power spring mechanism for winding the lid elongate sheet, wherein the at least one power spring mechanism has at least one spring having an inner end about which the spring unwinds, and at least one shaft at which the inner end of at least one spring is secured. Furthermore, the power spring mechanism tensions and peels a segment of lid elongate sheet peeled from a corresponding segment of blister elongate sheet upon each actuation of the medicament dispenser. Disclosed also is a method of assembling the aforementioned medicament dispenser.
Dry powder medicament inhaler
Disclosed is a dry powder inhaler for delivering medicament from at least one blister pack, each blister pack having a plurality of spaced-apart blister pockets containing doses of the medicament. The inhaler comprises: a housing for accommodating unused and used portions of the at least one blister pack together with a dispensing mechanism for simultaneously opening at least two blister pockets at a time; and a manifold component through which air can be drawn in use of the inhaler. The manifold component comprises: first and second air inlet openings for receiving external air a first air outlet opening for providing the external air to a first opened blister pocket and a first medicament inlet opening for receiving air-entrained medicament from the first opened blister pocket, the first air outlet opening and the first medicament inlet opening being arranged side-by-side to enable simultaneous communication with the first opened blister pocket; a second air outlet opening for providing the external air to a second opened blister pocket and a second medicament inlet opening for receiving air-entrained medicament from the second opened blister pocket, the second air outlet opening and the second medicament inlet opening being arranged side-by-side to enable simultaneous communication with the second opened blister pocket; and a medicament outlet opening for delivery of the air-entrained medicament from the first and second opened blister pockets to the user, the first and second medicament inlet openings being fluidly connected to the medicament outlet opening by a medicament delivery conduit formed in the manifold component. The first and second air inlet openings are fluidly connected to the first and second air outlet openings by respective first and second air conduits in the manifold component, wherein the air conduits are separately provided so that the external air from each of the first and second air inlet openings does not mix with the external air from the other of the first and second air inlet openings before reaching the first and second opened blister pockets.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DRUG DELIVERY
There is provided in accordance with an exemplary embodiment of the invention, a device and a method for controlled extraction of at least one active substance from at least one type of plant matter by application of heat, the device comprising: a heating element adapted to apply heat to an area of the plant matter to extract the substance; and a mechanism adapted for moving the plant matter relative to the heating element. Optionally, the active substance is a restricted substance. There is also provided in accordance with an exemplary embodiment of the invention, a method of monitoring and controlling inhalation of a restricted substance. There is provided in accordance with an exemplary embodiment of the invention, a method of manufacturing a tape of plant matter comprising an active substance.
