Systems and methods for obtaining cardiovascular parameters
A system for measuring cardiovascular data includes an elongate member having a channel, a first expandable member carried by the elongate member and movable between a collapsed state and an expanded state by adjustment initiated externally of a subject, a first sensor disposed on a surface of the elongate member, second and third sensors disposed on a surface of the first expandable, a first optical sensor located at a first location in relation to the distal end of the elongate member and configured for obtaining photoplethysmographic data, and wherein the first expandable member in its expanded state is configured to interface with the subject's larynx for delivery of at least oxygen gas into the respiratory system of the subject, and the second and third sensors are configured to contact tissue in proximity to the larynx when the first expandable member is in its expanded state.
IMPROVED TRACHEOSTOMY DEVICE
A tracheostomy airway device is provided comprising an outer cannula (110) having open proximal and distal ends, an inner actuation member insertable into the proximal end of the outer cannula, and one or more retention members (130). The one or more retention members are movable relative to the outer cannula between a retracted configuration in which the tracheostomy device is insertable into, and removable from, the trachea of a patient, and an extended configuration in which the one or more retention members impede removal of the tracheostomy airway device from the trachea. The retention members are operably linked to the inner actuation member or the outer cannula, such that movement of the inner actuation member relative to the outer cannula actuates movement of the one or more retention members between the retracted configuration and the extended configuration.
A Supraglottic Airway Device for intermittent Positive Pressure Ventilation
An airway device to be inserted into a patient's throat and to be function as a supraglottic airway device during a positive pressure ventilation and spontaneous ventilation that includes an air tube, an air sac, a tongue lifting means, a pulling unit and a drainage systems. The pulling unit will be pulled by an operator's hand to cause the tongue lifting means upward movement to open up the air sac and lift up the tongue base. The air tube lumen and the air sac are configured to have inflow airflow be divided and follow specific route therefore to deliver the focused airflow to vocal cords opening, and also to let inspired airflow enter desired area of the air sac to expand the air sac to form seals with surrounding tissue. During expiration, the pressure will be relieved. Different design of the drainage system can be configured to drained fluid from upper esophagus or from posterior pharyngeal wall.
System for controlling medical devices
Controlling a multi-device module includes a physiological sensor configured to sense physiological characteristics of a subject and generate a signal indicative of an instantaneous physiological state. A first device is configured to generate a first signal indicative of an operating state of the first device. A second device is configured to generate a second signal indicative of an operating state of the second device. A remote-control device includes a repository for storing computer executable files aggregated from a plurality of changing private networks. The remote-control device includes an electronic record (ER) client to make a wireless connection with each of the private networks and to query ER database associated with the private networks for electronic records residing within the private networks.
TRACHEOSCOPE CONTROL DEVICE, LARYNGEAL MASK AIRWAY DEVICE, AND COMBINATION SYSTEM THEREOF
An articulating tracheoscope control device, a laryngeal mask airway (LMA) device, and an articulating tracheoscope control device and LMA device combination system, that can control precise movement of a distal end of a tracheoscope with a patient's larynx within an angular range of at least 180 degrees and can lock the distal end of the tracheoscope in any desired position within the patient's larynx such that managing the tracheoscope during a tracheostomy procedure is not required in order to monitor the tracheostomy procedure.
Insertion aid
The present invention relates to a device for inserting a tracheostomy tube, comprising a guide element and a dilator, wherein the guide element has a shield, wherein, according to the invention, the guide element has a first securing means and the dilator has a corresponding second securing means, whereby the guide element can be detachably connected by positive locking to the dilator in a position in which a distal end of the dilator is engaged with an inner surface of the shield when the latter is in the first state.
ENDOSCOPY DEVICE
An endoscopy device for facilitating use of an endoscope, comprising at least one airway tube and a mask having a distal end, a proximal end and a peripheral formation .xi.beta.) capable of conforming to, and fitting within, the actual and potential space behind the larynx of the patient to form a seal around the circumference of the laryngeal inlet, the peripheral formation establishing separation between a laryngeal; chamber side and a pharyngeal side, the device further comprising a conduit adapted for passage of an endoscope into the oesophagus of a patient when mask is in place, conduit including a distal end for cooperation with the oesophageal sphincter, the conduit having a laryngeal side, a pharyngeal side, a right side and a left side, and an outlet wherein at the outlet the width between the left side and the right side is smaller than the width of the conduit.
Multi-Channel Flexible Laryngeal Mask Airway Device
Airway devices, systems, and methods are disclosed that can achieve ventilation of lungs through a mask that seals around the glottis and connects to a flexible airway channel, while also providing evacuation of gastric and/or pharyngeal body fluid and/or blood during upper airway surgeries or procedures.
LARYNGEAL MASK AIRWAY DEVICE
A laryngeal mask airway device includes a flexible tube set and an annular mask. The flexible tube set has an airway tube and an air guide tube that are juxtaposed. The annular mask has an outer membrane surrounding an outer periphery of one end of the airway tube and an elastic filler disposed inside the outer membrane. The outer membrane is in communication with one end of the air guide tube. When in use, the outer membrane is first squeezed to compress the elastic filler, and then the other end of the air guide tube is closed. The inside of the outer membrane forms a negative pressure to maintain the elastic filler in a small volume, so that one end having the annular mask of the flexible tube set can be placed and positioned in a patient's throat.
Endoscopy device
An endoscopy device (1) for facilitating use of an endoscope, comprising at least one airway tube (2) and a mask (3) having a distal end (4), a proximal end (5) and a peripheral formation ) capable of conforming to, and fitting within, the actual and potential space behind the larynx of the patient to form a seal around the circumference of the laryngeal inlet, the peripheral formation (6) establishing separation between a laryngeal; chamber side (3a) and a pharyngeal side (3b), the device further comprising a conduit (8) adapted for passage of an endoscope into the oesophagus of a patient when mask (3) is in place, conduit (8) including a distal end for cooperation with the oesophageal sphincter, the conduit having a laryngeal side (8d), a pharyngeal side (8c), a right side (8e) and a left side (8f), and an outlet wherein at the outlet the width between the left side and the right side is smaller than the width of the conduit.
