Forming recessed portions in a tape head module to provide an air bearing between a tape medium and a tape bearing surface of the tape head module
Provided is a method for forming a tape head module having recessed portion to provide air bearing between a tape medium and a tape bearing surface of the tape head module. A module of the tape head has a first end, a second end opposite the first end, a first side and a second side, opposite the first side, between the first and the second ends, a tape bearing surface and a second surface, opposite the tape bearing surface, between the first end, the second end, the first side, and the second side. Material is removed from the tape bearing surface of the module to form a first recessed portion between the first end and before a region of the tape bearing surface having an array of transducers, and between the first side and the second side.
MODULATED INDUCTANCE MODULE
A modulated inductance module includes an inductor including one or more electrical conductors disposed around a ferromagnetic ceramic element formed on a semiconductor die, wherein the inductor further has two or more metal oxides having fluctuations in metal-oxide compositional uniformity less than or equal to 1.50 mol % throughout said ceramic element, the ceramic element has crystalline grain structure having a diameter that is less than or equal to 1.5 a mean grain diameter, and the semiconductor die contains active semiconductor switches or rectifying components that are in electrical communication with the one or more electrical conductors of the inductor.
Transformer insulation
The present invention relates to an electrical transformer comprising an electrical insulator and a winding of an electrical conductor around a core, said insulator being formed of an essentially non-porous composite material comprising a resin matrix and up to 85% by weight of insulating fibres surrounded by the resin matrix, the composite material having a maximum moisture content of less than 0.5% by weight at 23 C. and 50% relative humidity.
Manufacturing method for electrostatically tunable magnetoelectric inductors with large inductance tunability
A method of manufacturing an electrostatically tunable magnetoelectric inductor, the method includes forming a piezoelectric layer on a substrate. The method further includes forming a magnetoelectric structure over the piezoelectric layer by: forming a first electrically conductive layer disposed above the piezoelectric layer; forming an isolation layer configured to translate changes in strain; forming a magnetic film layer disposed over the isolation layer; and forming a second electrically conductive layer, disposed over the magnetic film layer and wherein the second electrically conductive layer is in electrical communication with the first electrically conductive layer so as to form at least one electrically conductive coil around the magnetic film layer.
INTEGRATED TRANSFORMER
An integrated transformer includes a primary winding and a secondary winding each having a spiral planar arrangement coils. A dielectric portion of dielectric material is interposed between the primary winding and the secondary winding. A field plate winding is electrically coupled with the primary winding. The field plate winding includes at least one field plate coil having a first lateral extension greater than a second lateral extension of a primary outer coil of the primary winding. The field plate coil is superimposed in plan view to the primary outer coil of the primary winding.
