LOCKING DEVICE WITH CONFIGURABLE ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR KEY AND INTERNAL CIRCUIT BOARD FOR ELECTRONIC DOOR LOCKS
Locks, systems and methods of monitoring a lock, the lock having a hub with a slot rotatable by a handle to open and close a latchbolt. A locking member is moveable into and out of engagement with the hub slot to prevent and permit movement of the hub and latchbolt. A sensor on the lock, adjacent the hub and locking member, monitors a moving lock component. The sensor may sense the position of the locking member in or out of engagement with the hub slot. The sensor may be a reed switch actuated by a magnet on the moving lock component. The lock may further include a magnet mounted on the hub and the sensor may comprise a reed switch capable of being actuated by the magnet on the hub. The lock and system may include an external control unit having an alarm for controlling operation of the lock.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A SWALLOWABLE SENSOR DEVICE
Methods and systems for manufacturing a swallowable sensor device are disclosed. Such a method includes mechanically coupling a plurality of internal components, wherein the plurality of internal components includes a printed circuit board having a plurality of projections extending radially outward. A cavity is filled with a potting material, and the mechanically coupled components are inserted into the cavity. The cavity may be pre-filled with the potting material, or may be filled after the mechanically coupled components have been inserted therein. A distal end of each projection abuts against a wall of the cavity thereby preventing the potting material from covering each distal end. The cavity is sealed with a cap causing the potting material to harden within the sealed cavity to form a housing of the swallowable sensor device, wherein the distal end of each projection is exposed to an external environment of the swallowable sensor device.
SURGE PROTECTION FOR AN ELECTRONIC DEVICE
A surge protection circuit for an electronic device such as an HVAC controller. In one example, the surge protection circuit may include a first voltage clamp, a second voltage clamp, a resistor, and an output port. The first voltage clamp may provide a first clamping voltage between a power input terminal and a common terminal. The second voltage clamp may provide a second clamping voltage that is less than the first clamping voltage. The resistor may be connected in series with the second voltage clamp, and the series connected resistor and second voltage clamp may be connected in parallel with the first voltage clamp. As such, a surge current at the power input terminal may be split between the first voltage clamp and the second voltage clamp. The amount of surge current that is provided to the second voltage clamp may be set by the value of the resistor.
LIQUID DISCHARGE APPARATUS
A liquid discharge apparatus includes a liquid discharge head including a head module provided with a discharge section configured to be driven by a drive signal and discharge a liquid and a supply section configured to supply the drive signal to the discharge section in accordance with a designation signal for designating an operation in the discharge section, and a state signal output section configured to output a state signal, and a wire section including a first wire to which the state signal is supplied, a second wire configured to supply the designation signal, and a third wire configured to supply the drive signal. The first wire includes a first shielding layer containing a conductive material, a second shielding layer containing a conductive material, and a first conductor provided between the first shielding layer and the second shielding layer, the first conductor being configured to transmit the state signal.
Surface position detection apparatus, exposure apparatus, and exposure method
A surface position detection apparatus capable of highly precisely detecting the surface position of a surface to be detected without substantially being affected by relative positional displacement due to a polarization component occurring in a light flux having passed through a reflective surface. In the apparatus, a projection system has a projection side prism member having first reflective surfaces, and a light receiving system has a light receiving prism member having second reflective surfaces arranged in correspondence with the projection side prism member. The surface position detection apparatus further has a member for compensating relative positional displacement due to a polarization component of a light flux having passed through the first and second reflective surfaces.
Printed circuit board, display apparatus having a printed circuit board and method of manufacturing the printed circuit board
A printed circuit board (PCB) includes a first pattern structure, a second pattern structure, a third pattern structure, and a fourth pattern structure. The first pattern structure includes a first ground pattern. The second pattern structure includes a first line pattern overlapping the first ground pattern and a second ground pattern electrically insulated from the first line pattern. The third pattern structure includes a third ground pattern overlapping the first line pattern and a second line pattern overlapping the second ground pattern. The fourth pattern structure includes a fourth ground pattern overlapping the second line pattern. Therefore, the PCB may decrease noise.
Flexible printed circuit cable with multi-layer interconnection and method of forming the same
The steps of forming a multi-layer flexible printed circuit cable (flex circuit) with an electrical interconnection between independent conductive layers. In accordance with various embodiments, a partial aperture is formed in the flex circuit that extends through a first conductive layer and an intervening insulative layer to an underlying surface of a second conductive layer that spans the partial aperture. A solder material is reflowed within the partial aperture to electrically interconnect the first and second conductive layers.
Mitigation and elimination of tin whiskers
A method of mitigating tin whisker formation on electronic assemblies includes exposing tin metal in the electronic assembly to a mitigating agent that interacts with the tin metal to produce a product that is resistant to forming tin whiskers.
