A method of connecting a fine wire to an ultrafine wire, the fine wire exhibiting a first cross-section and the ultrafine wire exhibiting a second cross-section, the second cross-section smaller than the first cross-section, the method constituted of: providing an uninsulated portion of the fine wire exhibiting a flat surface; depositing a conductive material on the flat surface of the provided uninsulated portion of the fine wire; providing an uninsulated portion of the ultrafine wire; and bonding the provided uninsulated portion of the ultrafine wire to the deposited conductive material on the flat surface of the provided uninsulated portion of the fine wire by thermocompression.

Arrangement for electrically conductively connecting a contact piece to an electrical connector

An arrangement for electrically conductively connecting a cup shaped copper contact part to an electrical conductor that is made of a plurality of individual wires containing aluminum. The arrangement has a cup-shaped contact part, which includes a bottom and a cylindrical sleeve integrally connected to and projecting away from the bottom with tight contact of the sleeve to the conductor. The cup-shaped contact part is configured to be pushed onto the conductor until the end face of the conductor rests against the bottom of the contact part. At least one rotating tool is configured to be removably placed with sustained pressure, subsequently to the cup-shaped contact part, until the material of the conductor is softened due to the increased temperature of the material of the conductor due to friction to such an extent that it integrally connects to the contact part.

APPARATUS FOR WINDING AND TERMINATING DYNAMO ELECTRIC MACHINE CORES
20190267875 · 2019-08-29 ·

An apparatus used in terminating and winding coils of a core of a dynamo electric machine. The coils being formed from at least an electric wire and the core having a longitudinal axis. The coils are wound by relatively moving a wire dispenser with respect to a core with relative motions of translation and rotation; at least a stretch of wire extends from the coil; and the stretch of wire is provided with a portion for a termination connection to a termination structure of the core, such as a tang. The method avoids waste cut wire in the apparatus. The core is provided with a groove at an end to receive at least a wire in the path of the wire for the termination of the coils. The apparatus comprises a wire deflector positioned adjacent the end of the core, where the groove is located, in order to intercept and align the wire with the groove. The apparatus can comprise a device for applying torques in two directions on a pulley wheel for feeding wire as a function of the position of the dispenser in the translation and the position of the core in the rotations.

Connector having a grounding member

A connector includes a body having a central bore and a first grounding contact surface, a post disposed within the central bore and having an outwardly projecting flange configured to produce a first portion of a mating interface, and a conductive coupler. The post portion has a tubular sleeve configured to mechanically and electrically engage a prepared end of a coaxial cable. The conductive coupler has an engagement surface at a first end configured to mechanically and electrically engage an interface port, a lip at a second end configured to produce a second portion of the mating interface, and a second grounding contact surface opposing the first grounding contact surface. The first and second portions are configured to slide along the mating interface to rotate about an elongate axis of the connector. The connector includes a conductive ring disposed between the first and second grounding contact surfaces and configured to produce an electrical path between the body and the conductive coupler.
