Mask and mask-mounted flow generator system
A system for delivering a pressurized flow of breathable gas to a patient includes a patient interface and a flow generator mounted on the patient interface. The patient interface is configured to contact the patient's head and includes a frame and a cushion supported by the frame and configured to sealingly connect the patient interface to the patient's face and form a chamber between the frame and the patient's face. An inlet port in the frame is configured to receive the pressurized flow of breathable gas. The flow generator is configured to generate the pressurized flow and is capable of creating a pressure of about 2-40 cm H.sub.2O in the chamber. In addition, a pressure sensor assembly spans from an outlet port of the flow generator to the inlet port of the patient interface.
Snap-in elbow for patient interface mask
A ventilation mask (10) includes a mask body (100), a frame (200) and an elbow (300). The mask body has a first opening (130) and a sealing member (110) configured to engage the face of a patient so as to surround at least a mouth and a nose of the patient. The frame is connected to an outer surface of the mask body, and has an interface member (220) configured to interlock with the mask body at the first opening. The elbow has a first end (310) connectable with a gas supply, and a second end (320) configured to be fixedly secured to the interface member of the frame and to enable flow of gas from the elbow into the mask body through the first opening.
CUSHION TO FRAME ASSEMBLY MECHANISM
A full-face mask assembly includes a frame and a cushion provided to the frame. The cushion is adapted to form a seal around the patient's nose and mouth. A flexible lip is provided to an interior wall of the cushion. The flexible lip is adapted to engage the frame to provide a seal in use.
Interchangeable mask assembly
A system of breathing arrangements for delivering breathable gas to a patient includes at least first and second cushion components, e.g., full-face, nasal, nasal prongs, nose tip, and/or a combination of any of the above, including a nasal or full-face cushion and nasal prongs/nozzles combination, etc., that are different from one another in at least one aspect, and a common frame assembly configured to support each of the first and second cushion components. Various embodiments are directed to a full-face or nasal mask used with a frame having lateral connector portions having a stiffening member. The mask assembly may include a nose height adjustment device for the height of the cushion, or a cushion adjustment member by which the position of the cushion may be adjusted relative to the frame. The mask assembly may include a chin strap assembly.
Mask assembly
A mask assembly for therapy of Sleep Disordered Breathing may include: a cushion having a seal forming portion that is structured to form a seal with only the patient's nose in use, the cushion defining at least in part an interior chamber; a shell assembly including a generally rigid shell, the generally rigid shell having a port that opens into the interior chamber, the generally rigid shell including an exhalation vent for venting exhaled gas, an air inlet tube in fluid communication with the cushion to supply breathable gas from a pressurized supply to the interior chamber; and a swivel and an elbow attached to the air inlet tube, the swivel and the elbow configured to be attached to an air supply conduit, wherein the swivel and the elbow are positioned superior to the patient's head in use, and wherein the mask assembly does not contact the patient's forehead in use.
MASK AND FLOW GENERATOR SYSTEM
Breathing assistance apparatus
A user interface for delivering CPAP includes a forehead adapted with a deformable attachment between the interface and the support. In the preferred embodiment the interface is a mask which substantially seals against the face of the user without substantial pressure thereto and delivers said gases to the nasal cavity and/or oral cavity and/or throat.
RESPIRATORY MASK WITH MOLDED FRAME AND CUSHION
A respiratory mask has an adjustable forehead support member that is simple and inexpensive to manufacture. The forehead support member may be adjusted by rotating a forehead pad about an off-center bore or by bending an angular adjustment beam. The mask has a mask cushion with an accordionate membrane having at least two hinged portions. The mask may be constructed with a mask frame, the mask cushion, and the forehead support member molded as one piece.
Cushion to frame assembly mechanism
A patient interface for delivery of a supply of pressurised air or breathable gas to an entrance of a patient's airways including: a cushion member that includes a face contacting portion, a retaining structure and a resiliently flexible lip; and a frame member, wherein the retaining structure and the frame member are repeatedly engageable with and disengageable from one another, wherein a gas chamber is formed at least in part by engagement of the cushion member and the frame member, and wherein the resiliently flexible lip is configured to provide a sealing force between the cushion member and the frame member.
Mask with headgear and rigidizers
A mask for delivering breathable gas to a patient at positive pressure to treat sleep disordered breathing, may comprise: a rigid mask frame having a bore and an interfacing structure, the interfacing structure being located on the rigid mask frame and along a peripheral edge of the bore, said mask frame having no built-in or integral headgear attachment points; a sealing cushion provided to the rigid mask frame and adapted to form a seal with the patient's face, the rigid mask frame and the sealing cushion together forming, at least partly, a breathing cavity; and a headgear connector adapted to engage the interfacing structure with a snap-fit, said headgear connector including a pair of lower headgear clip anchors adapted to be engaged with respective ones of a pair of lower headgear clips to attach a pair of lower side straps, said headgear connector including a fixed forehead support.
