Bearing system for turret on a vessel
10363995 · 2019-07-30 · ·

A bearing system including a wheel assembly transmitting load to a damping assembly, wherein the wheel assembly is configured to rotate angularly relative to the damping assembly.

Low profile rotating control device

A system and method is provided for a low profile rotating control device (LP-RCD) and its housing mounted on or integral with an annular blowout preventer seal, casing, or other housing. The LP-RCD and LP-RCD housing can fit within a limited space available on drilling rigs. An embodiment allows a LP-RCD to be removably disposed with a LP-RCD housing by rotating a bearing assembly rotating plate. A sealing element may be removably disposed with the LP-RCD bearing assembly by rotating a seal retainer ring. Alternatively, a sealing element may be removably disposed with the LP-RCD bearing assembly with a seal support member threadedly attached with the LP-RCD bearing assembly. The seal support member may be locked in position with a seal locking ring removably attached with threads with the LP-RCD bearing assembly over the seal support member. Spaced apart accumulators may be disposed radially outward of the bearings in the bearing assembly to provide self lubrication to the bearings.

PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING A HOLLOW ROLLER AND ROLLER BEARING INCLUDING SUCH A ROLLER
20180094674 · 2018-04-05 ·

A process for manufacturing a hollow roller of a roller bearing including steps of: machining an outer radial cylindrical surface, with a circular cross section centered on a first axis, and machining an inner radial cylindrical surface with a circular cross section centered on a second axis. These two steps are realized on the same lathe. The hollow roller is provided with the outer radial cylindrical surface, with a diameter of at least 5 mm, and the inner radial cylindrical surface. An offset between the first axis and the second axis, measured in the hollow roller between two axial surfaces of the hollow roller, is less than 2 m, and an inclination angle between the first axis and the second axis is less than one minute of angle. The roller bearing comprises amongst others, at least one such hollow roller.

A roller bearing assembly apparatus is provided that, when assembling the roller bearing, effectively prevents rollers R that are assembled inside an outer ring W from becoming tilted or dropping out from the state immediately after assembly. After the rollers R are aligned into an annular shape by an alignment jig 14, the roller group G aligned in an annular shape is pushed out from the alignment space 26 of the alignment jig 14, and pushed inside a guide hole 39 of an insertion jig 15. As a result, with the diameter of the roller group G being prevented from expanding by the inner-circumferential surface of the guide hole 39, a retaining member 36, the diameter thereof being elastically reduced, is inserted inside the roller group G. After that, a push-out cylinder 38 of the insertion jig 15 is caused to displace in the axial direction, simultaneously pushing the roller group G and the retaining member 36 out from the guide hole 39, and simultaneously assembling the roller group and the retaining member 36 inside the outer ring W.

Plain bearing

A bearing comprising: (a) an inner ring, (b) an outer ring, and (c) a bearing liner disposed therebetween, wherein the bearing liner comprises a resin having a glass transition temperature of less than 150 C.

Plain bearing

A bearing comprising (a) an inner ring, (b) an outer ring, and (c) a bearing liner disposed therebetween, wherein the bearing liner comprises a resin and the bearing liner has at least one of: (a) a flexural modulus of from 20 to 35 GPa and (b) a flexural strength of from 500 to 700 MPa.

Roller alignment device and roller alignment method

An alignment device aligns rollers R in an annular shaped alignment space 24 in parallel to each other while at the same time prevents damage from occurring on rolling surfaces of rollers R. Plural rollers R that are arranged in a row in an axial direction are sequentially supplied into an annular shaped alignment space 24 that is formed in a main jig 14 in a direction that coincides with a width direction of the alignment space 24. The plural rollers R are aligned in an annular shape so as to be in parallel to each other by alignment-fluid-supply means 16 spraying air onto a roller R that is in a supply position in the alignment space 24 from a direction that is orthogonal to the roller R supply direction and moving the roller R in a circumferential direction of the alignment space 24, and then supplying a next roller R into the alignment space 24.

Bearing stand-off devices

Various embodiments of stand-off devices and methods are disclosed. The stand-off device can space a bearing assembly apart from a support, such as a frame of a conveyor belt, thereby providing access between the bearing assembly and the frame, such as for cleaning fluid. Certain embodiments of the stand-off device include a first end and a second end, with the first end being receivable in a securing hole of the bearing assembly and the second end configured to protrude from the bearing assembly.
