Method of bogie replacement for turntable station
Aspects of the disclosure relate to methods, apparatus, and systems for replacing a drive assembly of a turntable load station. A system includes a structural pier, a track formed on a top surface of the structural pier, a turntable, a bogie assembly detachably coupled to an underside of the turntable, the bogie assembly including a wheeled drive assembly, a swap rail mounted to a radial side surface of the structural pier, and a translating cartridge movably mounted to the swap rail in a serviceable orientation. The translating cartridge is configured to move along the radial side surface of the structural pier via the swap rail while in the serviceable orientation to an unloading position underneath the bogie assembly, pivot from the serviceable orientation to an upright functional orientation to couple with the wheeled drive assembly, and decouple the wheeled drive assembly from the bogie assembly.
Weight monitoring system for tensioned attachment to an object supported above a foundation
A monitoring system functions both as a device for lifting the object and as a weighing system for monitoring or measuring the weight of an object, such as a feed bin. Various embodiments having a suspended load cell and methods of retrofitting the monitoring system to existing object are provided. Further, the accuracy provided by various embodiments enables one to accurately predict when the feed bin will be empty. Thus, the feed mill can be aware of anticipated needs days in advance, allowing the feed mill to better optimize its scheduling and deliveries.
Breech bolt for firearm
A firearm including a receiver, a barrel, a breech bolt assembly, and a trigger assembly. The bolt assembly has a bolt including a body portion, a lug portion, and a firing pin bore. The lug portion includes outward extending lugs, a cartridge recess, and an off-center hole. The bolt assembly also includes an extractor and an ejector pin. At least some of the lugs on the lug portion of the bolt have a tapering outer face so that a rearward face of the respective lug is taller than a forward face of the respective lug. In another aspect, at least some of the lugs on the lug portion of the bolt have tapering side faces so that a rearward face of the respective lug is wider than a forward face of the respective lug.
METHOD FOR TERMINATING FLEXIBLE PIPE BODY
A method and apparatus are disclosed for terminating flexible pipe body. The apparatus comprises an end fitting core portion, an end fitting termination portion and a spacer ring member locatable between the core portion and the termination portion for maintaining a whole anterior end surface of the core portion and an opposed whole posterior end surface of the termination portion in a spaced apart relationship.
Modular Navigable Probe
A navigable probe system and method of use is provided. The system may include a handle assembly having a locking mechanism enclosed and a stylus, a cannula, and a tracking device extending from the handle assembly. The stylus may include undercuts for receiving pins of the locking mechanism. A cam of the handle assembly may rotate such that in a first position, the pins of the locking mechanism may be engaged with the undercuts and in a second position, the pins of the locking mechanism may be disengaged from the undercuts releasing the stylus from the locking mechanism. The stylus may be slidably engaged with an inner diameter of the cannula. In some arrangements, the handle assembly may include a quick connect system that in a first position attaches the cannula to the handle assembly and in a second position releases the handle assembly and thus stylus from the cannula.
Cone head wiper replacement method and apparatus
Embodiments provide a method for removably mounting at least one wiper ring to the underside of a cone head of a cone crusher. The method includes the following steps in the order recited: inducing a temperature difference between the cone head and the at least one wiper ring; mounting the at least one wiper ring to an underside of the cone head while maintaining the temperature difference; and holding the at least one wiper ring against the underside of the cone head while the temperature difference dissipates. The temperature difference may be induced by either cooling the at least one wiper ring or by heating the cone head, or both.
Porous supports and vacuum hold down device using said supports
The present invention relates to a porous support intended to be removably positioned on a top side of a perforated plate of a table of a vacuum hold down device, the perforated plate having a bottom side connected to a vacuum system for producing reduced pressure on the bottom side, wherein the porous support comprises a perforated tray provided on one side with outer reliefs and on the other side with a blade penetrable porous structure fixed thereon. The invention further relates to a vacuum hold down device comprising such a support. The invention also relates to a process for replacing a first porous support by a second porous support in such a device.
Aircraft emergency slide containers and methods of using such containers
Containers and methods are disclosed for replacing expired or unserviceable aircraft emergency slides (slides) in an aircraft. The disclosed containers are configured to securely retain both unserviceable slides and serviceable slides. The containers can be placed on an aircraft through the main door of the aircraft, and are further configured to be easily transported within the aircraft from a staging area of the aircraft to a slide installation and removal point at either the main door or an emergency exit door of the aircraft. The containers can be aligned with the installation and removal point to facilitate replacing an unserviceable slide with a new, serviceable slide. The disclosed containers and methods improve personnel safety concerning lifting and handling of the slides, which are heavy. The containers and methods disclosed herein further facilitate positioning of the slides near installation and removal points and properly orienting the slides, while reducing awkward handling situations for personnel.
Method and system for decoupling a capillary column from a gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) system
A column-sealing tool is provided for use during decoupling of a capillary column from a gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) system. The column-sealing tool includes an engagement structure for removably securing the column-sealing tool within a high vacuum enclosure of the GC-MS system, at a location between a high vacuum end of a transfer line and a mass analyzer of the GC-MS system. Additionally, the column-sealing tool includes a sealing element that is actuatable between a non-sealing position and a sealing position. During use the sealing element forms a secondary vacuum seal with the first end of the transfer line when the column-sealing tool is inserted into the GC-MS system and when the sealing element is in the sealing position.
