Drug delivery device and method for a drug delivery device
A drug delivery device (1) is provided comprising a housing (4) comprising a distal end and a proximal end and a cartridge (3) adapted and arranged to contain at least one dose of a drug (16), a bung (5) being movably arranged within the cartridge (3). In an initial state of the device (1), the bung (5) is arranged in a proximal end position with respect to the cartridge (3). The device (1) further comprises a piston rod (9) adapted and arranged to move the bung (5) in the distal direction with respect to the cartridge (3) for delivering a dose of the drug (16). The device (1) further comprises a mechanism operable such that, after a dose delivery operation was completed, the piston rod (9) is moved into the proximal direction with respect to the bung (5) by a back off distance (D), wherein in the initial state, a distance between a distal end of the piston rod (9) and a proximal end of the bung (5) is greater than zero, with the distance between the piston rod (9) and the bung (5) in the initial state being defined by the back off distance (D). Furthermore, a method for assembling a drug delivery device (1) is provided.
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING CABLE CONNECTOR HAND TOOLS
An illustrative cable connector hand tool and associated method are operable to permit cable connection sections to respectively pass through a side opening of hand tool members into a center aperture of the tool members. In one illustrative embodiment, the hand tool members are formed with a recessed portion adapted to receive an end of one of a pair of cable connectors such that mating edges of the cable connectors used to couple the cable connection sections are visible when the cable connectors are in a coupled configuration abutting each other. An illustrative embodiment includes the recessed portion formed with a plurality of keyway indentions or recesses spaced apart in the center aperture that are operable to engage keys, protrusions, or lugs on an outer wall of the cable connectors.
Pipe processing tool with pipe deformation members
A pipe processing tool that is configured to deform the end of a pipe so that the circumferential shape of the end of the pipe generally matches the circumferential shape of an adjacent pipe end. Matching the circumferential shapes of the pipe ends is advantageous during a pipe attachment process. The pipe processing tool can include a deformation ring with a plurality of pipe deformation members. Each pipe deformation member faces radially inward and is actuatable in a radial direction toward and away from the center of the deformation ring in order to permit engagement with the pipe. Each pipe deformation member is individually and separately actuatable from the other pipe deformation members so that the circumferential shapes of the pipes can be altered by controlling suitable ones of the pipe deformation members.
Fluid ejection module mounting
A fluid ejection module mounting apparatus, including a module mount having a horizontal portion and a vertical portion, a fluid ejection module mounted to the module mount, and a clamp assembly including a recessed portion, a clamp along a wall of the recessed portion, and a lever coupled to the clamp and configured to move the clamp from an open position to a closed position. The horizontal portion has an opening configured to receive a fluid ejection module and the vertical portion has a protruding portion. The protruding portion of the module mount is configured to mate with the recessed portion of the clamp assembly.
Device for aligning holes
The present disclosure is related to a device 100 configured for aligning a first hole 131 of a first flange 130 with a second hole 141 of a second flange 140. The device 100 comprises a base 101, a shaft 110 extending from the base 101 and a first and a second pusher 115, 116. The shaft 110 is configured to move between a retracted position and an extended position. The shaft 110 in the extended position extends from the first hole 131 into the second hole 141. The first and second pushers 115, 116 are also configured to be moved radially outwardly from the shaft 110 to exert pressure against an inner wall of the first and second holes 131, 141. Methods for aligning a first and a second hole 130, 140 are also provided.
Method for mounting an electrical device to a ceiling surface
A ceiling mount support tool for temporarily mounting an electrical device, such as a ceiling fan to a ceiling bracket. The ceiling mount support tool has a shaft, a ball joint at the proximal end of the shaft, and a socket at the distal end of the shaft. The ceiling mount support tool is mounted to a ceiling flange, and the ceiling fan is mounted to the ceiling mount support tool. Thereafter, electrical wires can be connected, and then the ceiling fan and the ceiling mount support tool can be removed. The ceiling fan with the wires connected can then be mounted to the ceiling bracket.
Method of manufacturing a hand tool for coupling together first and second cable sections
