Cage nut fastener and methods for tool-less installation of same
10859111 · 2020-12-08 · ·

A cage nut fastener, capable of installation against a frame member without the aid of tools, includes a spring cage and a nut retained within a space defined by the spring cage and prevented from rotation therein. The spring cage includes a back wall with a wall aperture therethrough, a cage arm extending in a forward direction from a side of the back wall, and a lever arm disposed at a side of the back wall that is opposite the cage arm. The nut includes a nut aperture therethrough that is generally aligned with the wall aperture of the back wall. The lever arm includes an extension portion that extends in a rearward direction behind the back wall of the spring cage. Application of a compression force upon the lever arm, without the aid of tools, manipulates the spring cage to a compressed state that facilitates positioning of a distal end of each of the cage arm and the lever arm through an aperture of a frame member so that, upon release of the compression force, the spring cage and the nut are secured against the frame member.

Cushion for a respiratory mask assembly
10850057 · 2020-12-01 · ·

A respiratory mask assembly for delivering breathable gas to a patient includes a frame and a cushion. The cushion has a non-face contacting portion structured to be connected to the frame, a face-contacting portion structured to engage the patient's face, and an intermediate portion that interconnects the non-face contacting portion and the face-contacting portion. The intermediate portion includes a gusset portion that applies a first component of force to the patient's face through the face-contacting portion. A spring structure is coupled with the face-contacting portion of the cushion. The spring structure applies a second component of force to the patient's face through the face-contacting portion. The first and second components of force applied by the gusset portion and spring structure, respectively, determine a contact force of the cushion applied to the patient's face through the face-contacting portion. The intermediate portion may also include an elastic cuff portion. Further, in the case of an oral mask, the sealing section may include a portion that is designed to promote a better seal in the chin region of the mask.

CATHETER ASSEMBLY WITH SEAL MEMBER

A catheter assembly includes a catheter hub defining an interior cavity and a catheter tube extending distally thereof. A rigid actuator is positioned to extend proximally in the interior cavity and support a seal member positioned thereon in the interior cavity. The seal member includes a central membrane, a distal portion, and a proximal portion. An hourglass shaped actuator cavity is formed in the distal portion and receives a barbed end of the actuator. The outer surface of the seal member is in partial circumferential engagement with the catheter hub to define an air path that allows fluid communication between areas of the interior cavity distal and proximal of the seal member. The seal member may be configured for multi-use and include a biasing member that moves the seal member to force the membrane back over the actuator to close the membrane.

Coolable wall element with impingement plate
10570772 · 2020-02-25 · ·

A coolable wall element for a gas turbine, having a base body with a first surface subjectable to a hot gas, second surface arranged opposite of the first surface, and first seat for housing edges of an impingement plate. The wall element has an impingement plate partly inserted into the first seat located at a distance and adjacent to the second surface. A coolable wall element with extended life time is provided with the impingement plate which is removably attached to the base body having a snap-in connection with a bendable retention tab extending from the rest of the impingement plate to a free end of the retention tab, wherein the base body has a second seat for the free end of said tab, the second seat blocks the moving of the impingement plate relative to the main body when the bendable retention tab is released.

CABLE END FITTING AND CABLE ABUTMENT AND METHOD OF SECUREMENT

A cable conduit end for securing a cable to a cable abutment of a latch is provided. The cable conduit end having: a housing; an alignment feature incorporated into a surface of the housing; a flexible retention feature integrally formed with the conduit end, wherein the flexible retention feature is spring biased away from the housing to a first position; and a radial retention feature extending outwardly away from the housing, wherein the flexible retention feature is located proximate to a first end of the housing and the radial retention feature is located proximate to a second end of the housing.

Fluid connector with a hose cutting clip
10539258 · 2020-01-21 · ·

An electrically conductive hose cutting clip has at least one end tab that is shaped to provide a cutting edge for penetration of the inner layer(s) of a multiple layer fluid conveyance hose when it is clipped onto a fluid connector and the hose is installed on the fluid connector by forcing it onto the connector. The cutting action by the cutting clip provides for a relatively low resistance electrical connection between an electrically conductive layer of the hose and the fluid connector. This can be used to provide a signal path from a sensing element on or in the hose to a system electronic component.

ADAPTER PLATE FOR FIBER OPTIC MODULE

An adapter plate for use with a telecommunications module that is configured to be slidably inserted into a first type of telecommunications chassis comprises a body configured to be mounted to the telecommunications module. The body of the adapter plate includes structure for mounting the telecommunications module to a second type of telecommunications chassis that is different than the first type of telecommunications chassis, wherein the telecommunications module is not configured to be mounted to the second type of telecommunications chassis without the adapter plate.

CAGE NUT FASTENER AND METHODS FOR TOOL-LESS INSTALLATION OF SAME

A cage nut fastener for installation without the aid of tools includes a nut and a spring cage comprised of a back wall with a wall aperture therethrough, first and second hooking arms disposed at opposite sides of the back wall, and one or more cage arms. At least one of the first and second hooking arms includes a compressible lever. Each of the first and second hooking arms terminates with an outwardly-oriented hooked portion at a front of the nut. Each of the one or more cage arms engages at least a side face and a front face of the nut. The nut is retained at a caged location by at least the one or more cage arms, is prevented from rotation at the caged location, and includes a nut aperture therethrough in general alignment with the wall aperture of the back wall. Application of a compression force upon the lever, without the aid of tools, manipulates the spring cage to a compressed state that facilitates positioning of a distal end of one or both of the hooked portions through an aperture of a frame member so that, upon release of the compression force, the spring cage and the nut are secured against the frame member.
