Laundry treating appliance with dynamic balancer
A dynamic balancer device for mounting to and balancing a rotatable drum in a laundry treating appliance comprises an enclosed non-metal annular housing having a radial circumferential wall, an annular metal race within the non-metal annular housing disposed against the radial circumferential wall, and a mass disposed in the annular race and movable therein.
Tube-fitting-assembly ferrule
A tube-fitting-assembly ferrule apparatus and method to secure connections between tubing sections against high pressure, vibration, pulsation, and hammering, by providing a tube-fitting-assembly ferrule which elastically deforms in use, securing the primary circumferential point seal with a shock-absorbing and shape-retaining force.
Lipskin for a nacelle and methods of making the same
A lipskin for a nacelle includes a generally annular first lipskin segment that extends generally upstream from a first lipskin edge to a forward edge. The forward edge is proximate to a hilite of the nacelle. The lipskin also includes a generally annular second lipskin segment that extends generally downstream from the forward edge to a second lipskin edge. The second lipskin segment is oriented generally concentrically about the first lipskin segment. The first lipskin segment and the second lipskin segment are coupled together at the forward edge.
Sleeve tool and method of use
A tool is disclosed for use in installing and removing a sleeve from a coupling, such as a flexible coupling assembly configured according to SAE Aerospace Standard AS1650, for example. The tool may comprise a pair of arcuate coupling halves pivotally joined at first adjacent ends and latchably connectable at second ends and comprising an inner profile closely interfacing with and circumferentially surrounding the outer surface of the sleeve, and providing a shoulder extending radially inward to abut a first edge of the sleeve while leaving radial clearance between the shoulder and the annular flanges of the coupling so that the sleeve, while removably held by the tool, may be longitudinally translated onto and off the coupling without mechanically interfering with the annular flanges.
Sheaths reducing recoil and loss of retention for polymer scaffolds crimped to balloons
A medical device includes a polymer scaffold crimped to a catheter having an expansion balloon. A single piece sheath is placed over the scaffold immediately following crimping of the scaffold to the balloon. The single piece sheath is replaced by a two-piece sheath, which is removed prior to performing a medical procedure using the medical device.
Connecting arrangement and also a method
A connecting arrangement for joining at least two components to form a structural assembly, near a wing of an aircraft, wherein at least one component is formed from a fiber composite plastic and at least one further component is formed from either a metal or a fiber composite plastic. A bushing is secured in a hole through the components. The bushing includes a first end with a collar which faces towards a lower face of the structural assembly and a second end. A zone of an upper face of the structural assembly radially surrounds the second end and includes a depression. A connecting element is installed in the bushing. This provides a smooth, aerodynamically beneficial configuration of the upper face, which can be coated, and which ensures a reliable electrical contact between the connecting element and a conductive surface of the first component.
Method for connecting two components
A method for connecting two components. The method includes heating a deformation region of at least one component part to provide complete heating. The at least one component part is plastically deformed after the complete heating of the deformation region.
