Apparatus and method for remote fastener installation
A tool configured to install and torque multiple fasteners, such as nuts and/or bolts, positioned in confined and/or hard to reach areas. The tool includes a body portion, a plurality of fastener retainers, and a structure which permits both the remote tightening and torquing of such fasteners. The tool also provides an actuator for the remote release of torque loads which may build up in the fastener retainers during such torquing of the fasteners. The actuator includes a lever arm pivotally connected to the body portion and a cam that is rotatable between a first position and a second position. A linkage is engaged by the cam and urges the lever arm to a torquing position upon the cam being in the first position and to a torque release position upon the cam being in the second position.
Mold structure having lightweight module
A mold structure and the replacement method thereof. The mold structure has a lower molding plate, at least one lower die core, a plurality of lower supporters, a plurality of first positioning units, an upper molding plate, at least one upper die core, a plurality of upper supporters and a plurality of merging units. The upper die core and the lower die core are passed through by a plurality of fasteners, and fixed on the upper molding plate and the lower molding plate respectively. The upper supporters and the lower supporters are disposed around the upper die core and the lower die core respectively, and passed through by a plurality of fasteners to fix them on the upper molding plate and the lower molding plate respectively. A part of a first positioning unit protruding out of a lower supporter is inserted into a merging unit. The present invention provides an accurate way to fix die cores, improves procedures in conventional molding, further reduces process time and saves cost.
Advanced methods and designs for balancing a stranded termination assembly
Devices and methods for loading a cable in order to create a desired distribution of the load among the cable's constituent strands. Strand terminations are applied to many—and possibly all of—the cable's strands. The ultimate goal is to connect the strand terminations to a collector in order to create an overall cable termination. The relationship between each strand termination and the collector is allowed to “float” using the inventive process while the cable is tensioned and an appropriate spatial relationship between each strand tensioner and the collector is determined. One the appropriate relationship is found, it is configured to be repeatable (such as by locking the strand termination in place or by recording its position for later application to the same or similar collector).
Photovoltaic module carrier and methods of use
A novel PV module carrier and methods of use provide protection for PV modules during transportation, field handling, and assembly with racking systems. The carrier contains elements of a racking system to allow for quicker installation in the field. The PV module carrier reduces manufacturing costs by eliminating the need for frame elements, while reducing field installation time and labor cost for system installation.
Laundry treating appliance and tub assembly and method of forming
A laundry appliance for treating a load of laundry according to a cycle of operation comprises a cabinet and a tub assembly housed within the cabinet and comprising a front tub section, a rear tub section and at least one middle tub section provided between the front and rear tub sections.
Method and apparatus for limiting travel and constraining liner movement of a nut element within a channel
A system to prevent a sliding nut in a channel in a bar from escaping from the channel, and to prevent the nut from entering a no-go-zone at the end of the channel. The system is adjustable to position the nut at a desirable location along the length of the channels to mount coupling devices onto the bar.
WALL MOUNTED TOGGLE HOOK
A convertible anchor comprises a fixture for holding an article to a friable wall and an anchoring mechanism extending from the fixture and adapted when rotated to engagingly extend into the wall for securing the fixture thereto. The fixture is selectively separable via frangible connection elements from the anchoring mechanism for allowing the fixture to be used alone with an appropriate fastener suitable for installing the fixture to a rigid structure, such as wooden components. The frangible elements are typically provided between the fixture and a proximal end of the anchoring mechanism. The nature of the vertical support to which the anchor is to be mounted is thus first determined and then, for a friable wall, the anchor is installed thereto using the anchoring mechanism or, for a more solid support, the fixture is separated from the anchoring mechanism and installed to the solid support via an appropriate fastener.
Popcorn popping kettle and stud retainer assembly
A popcorn popping assembly includes a popcorn popping kettle having a side wall extending from a bottom wall. The assembly includes a plurality of retainers. Each of the retainers includes a bottom wall extending between a pair of side walls. The side walls and the bottom wall define a cavity, and an aperture is formed in the bottom wall and defines an essentially closed shaped periphery. The assembly includes a plurality of studs, each configured to be inserted through a respective aperture of a respective retainer. A plurality of fasteners are each configured to be received within the cavity of a retainer and couple with a stud to secure the stud to the retainer. A temperature sensor may extend through at least one of the apertures. A stud may be configured to cooperate with the temperature sensor and hold the temperature sensor in a predetermined location.
GOLF COUPLING MECHANISMS AND RELATED METHODS
Embodiments of golf coupling mechanisms are presented herein. Other examples and related methods are also disclosed herein.
Fastener nut for channel framing
A fastener nut for securing a part to channel framing defining at least one internal, generally T-shaped track extending lengthwise of the channel framing. The fastener nut includes a nut body, and first and second wings extending longitudinally outward from respective first and second longitudinal ends of the body. The first and second wings having respective terminal ends defining an effective wing span therebetween that is greater than the length of the body such that at least a portion of the fastener nut has a generally T-shaped side profile. The fastener nut is insertable in the generally T-shaped track of the channel framing to allow the fastener nut to slide along the length of the channel framing and to restrict transverse movement of the fastener nut in the interior, relative to length of the framing, for use in positioning the fastener nut along the channel framing.
