Chair assembly
A chair component includes a first chair member adapted to support a seated user, a second chair member movable between a first position, wherein the second chair member is substantially coplanar with the first chair member, and a second position, wherein the second chair member is substantially parallel with the first chair member, a cover member wrapped about at least a portion of the first chair member and at least a portion of the second chair member, and a single-piece drawstring operably coupled with the cover member to draw the cover member about the at least a portion of the first chair member and the at least a portion of the second chair member when the second chair member is in the first position.
LOBED NUT CAP
A cap is disclosed having a collar portion with three or more contact regions arranged to contact the end of a fastener around which the collar portion is provided, the collar portion having a lobed shape in cross-section such that an outwardly projecting lobe extends between each neighbouring pair of contact regions. An advantage of this lobed arrangement is that the cap can tolerate relatively large manufacturing tolerances at the fastener end. The cap may be for fitting over a nut or fastener head, with the contact regions of the cap being arranged to contact corresponding contact regions on a cylindrical collar base portion of the nut or fastener head. The diameter of this cylindrical collar portion may not be well controlled, so that the manufacturing tolerance is high. The lobed shape of the cap base ensures that the contact regions will always provide a good frictional engagement with the nut, whether the cylindrical collar is undersized, oversized, or at its nominal diameter.
Lobed nut cap
The present invention proposes a cap having a collar portion with three or more contact regions arranged to contact the end of a fastener around which the collar portion is provided, the collar portion having a lobed shape in cross-section such that an outwardly projecting lobe extends between each neighboring pair of contact regions. An advantage of this lobed arrangement is that the cap can tolerate relatively large manufacturing tolerances at the fastener end. For example, the cap may be for fitting over a nut or fastener head, with the contact regions of the cap being arranged to contact corresponding contact regions on a cylindrical collar base portion of the nut or fastener head.
System and method for crimping a fastening component on a support
A crimping system of a fastening component onto a support, including a crimping tool comprising a housing and a traction rod configured to cooperate with the fastening component so as to deform the fastening component when a translation of the traction rod takes place, a fluid source connected to the housing to supply a fluid under pressure to move the traction rod, a sensor to measure the movements of the traction rod, a detector to provide a pressurisation information of the fluid in the housing, and a control unit configured to record a curve of the measured movements and the pressurisation information of the fluid in the housing.
High torque bolt
A bolt includes a main-bolt head, a threaded shaft, and a deformable-bolt head component. The main-bolt head has a recess. The threaded shaft extends from the main-bolt head. The threaded shaft has an external thread wrapped therearound. The deformable-bolt head component has an outer flange and an interior threaded bore. The outer flange of the deformable-bolt head component is coupled to the main-bolt head such that a relief space is formed between the deformable-bolt head component and the recess.
Method for mounting electrical boxes
A method for mounting an electrical box to a structural element of a building includes drilling an opening in a structural element, and passing a tubular portion associated with an electrical box through the opening in the structural element. The tubular portion is locked in position with respect to the structural element.
Fiber optic cassette
A fiber optic cassette includes a body defining a front and an opposite rear. A cable entry location is defined on the body for a cable to enter the cassette, wherein a plurality of optical fibers from the cable extend into the cassette and form terminations at non-conventional connectors adjacent the front of the body. A flexible substrate is positioned between the cable entry location and the non-conventional connectors adjacent the front of the body, the flexible substrate rigidly supporting the plurality of optical fibers. Each of the non-conventional connectors adjacent the front of the body includes a ferrule, a ferrule hub supporting the ferrule, and a split sleeve surrounding the ferrule.
Coupling with tongue and groove
A pipe joint assembly including a first pipe element, a second pipe element, a pair of segments, each segment defining a first end and a second end, each first end comprising a tongue and each second end comprising a groove, each groove defining a groove shoulder surface, the tongue of the one segment defining a tongue outer surface, the tongue outer surface of the tongue of the one segment angled at a non-zero angle relative to the groove shoulder surface in an assembled and untightened position, the tongue outer surface of the tongue positioned parallel and flush to the groove shoulder surface of the groove of the second segment in an assembled and tightened condition; and a pair of fasteners configured to deflect each segment around the first pipe element and the second pipe element in the assembled and tightened condition.
Restrained plastic pipe joint and method of making same
A gasket for preventing the separation of a pipe joint formed between plastic pipes such as pipes manufactured from PVC. The invention provides a restrained pipe joint including a first pipe including a bell with a spigot entryway and a substantially V-shaped annular groove. The annular groove includes a front radial wall and a rear radial wall and a gasket seated in the annular groove. The gasket includes an inner radial face, an opening defined by the inner radial face and an outer radial face with a front radial section located adjacent to the front radial wall of the annular groove and a rear radial section located adjacent to the rear radial wall of the annular groove. A plurality of restraining segments is at least partially embedded in the gasket.
Vacuum switching apparatus, and contact assembly and method of securing an electrical contact to an electrode therefor
A contact assembly is for a vacuum switching apparatus. The vacuum switching apparatus includes a vacuum envelope. The vacuum envelope has an interior. The contact assembly includes: a number of electrical contacts located in the interior of the vacuum envelope, at least one electrical contact having a hole; and a number of electrodes each engaging a corresponding one of the number of electrical contacts, at least one electrode including a base and a protrusion. The protrusion extends from the base into the hole of the electrical contact in order to secure the electrical contact to the electrode.
