System for hanging artists brushes and similar cylindrical implements
A system and method is provided whereby a mounting is configured for attachment to a paintbrush, wherein the paintbrush has a first end having bristles and a second end bristle free, a hanger having a first end is attached to said mounting cap and a second end having a hanging system for hanging said brush, and a support is configured for receiving said hanging system.
Brush seal and method for producing a brush seal
The invention relates to a brush seal, in particular for the sealing of gaps occurring in turbomachines, including a plurality of individual fibers, individual wires or bundles of individual fibers or wires, wherein, in each case, at least two individual fibers or wires, and/or at least two fiber bundles or wire bundles are braided or twisted into a fiber or wire package. In addition, the invention relates to a method for producing a brush seal.
Method of fastening a cage with a fastening system in an MRD
Methods of fastening a cage with a fastening system in an MRD. One method includes: assembling: a plurality of pole pieces; a plurality of side magnets, the side magnets substantially enclosing the pole pieces and thereby defining a magnetic envelope and enclosed volume therein; a plurality of side walls, the side walls substantially enclosing the side magnets; a plurality of face walls and a plurality of fastening rods; and passing a plurality of fastening rods through at least one of the side magnets and at least one of the pole pieces and fastening them in an effective measure, such that the rods physically interconnects at least one pair of side walls.
Acetabular prosthesis and corresponding method for production and assembly
Acetabular prosthesis comprising an acetabular cup, defining a coupling cavity, and an insert, able to be inserted inside the coupling cavity. The acetabular cup and the insert have a common coupling axis and comprise respective clamping means for their reciprocal clamping in an assembled condition.
Magnetic resonance device
A cage with a fastening system (1) in a magnetic resonance device (MRD) is disclosed, said cage in an MRD comprising (a) M pole pieces (45) (M?2); (b) N side magnets (20) (N?2), said side magnets substantially enclosing said pole pieces and thereby defining a magnetic envelope and enclosed volume therein; (c) N side walls (10), said side walls substantially enclosing said side magnets; (d) P face walls (30) (P?2); and (e) a plurality of fastening rods (100); wherein each of said fastening rods physically interconnects at least one pair of side walls, passing through at least one of said side magnets and at least one of said pole pieces.
System and method for retracting body tissue
Retractor systems and methods for retracting body tissue during surgery. The retractor system includes a rail having two opposed widened rail portions separated by a narrowed portion, each widened portion engageable by a separate clamp. The clamps are configured to support the rail to a fixed surface, or to support a surgical device. Each clamp may independently be positioned or slid along the rail to a desired location without interference with a clamp on an opposing widened rail portion. A device clamp is formed of spherical mating portions which enable alignment of a surgical device along six degrees of freedom, and tightenable by securing a single fastener. A retractor blade mount enables an angular and tilting disposition of a retractor blade, as well as remote manipulation of the retractor blade.
Filter clamp lock
Embodiments of the invention provide a clamp lock to secure a clamp around a pressure vessel, such as a split tank pool filter. The clamp lock includes a drive rack with at least one notch, and a housing with a rotatable drive gear, a locking pawl, and a receiving hole. The rotatable drive gear is capable of laterally moving the drive rack through the receiving hole, and the locking pawl is capable of engaging the at least one notch when the drive rack has been inserted a distance into the receiving hole. The distance correlates to a diameter of the clamp sufficient to secure the clamp around the pressure vessel.
ANCHORING CABLES TO RACK WITH CABLE CLAMP ARRANGEMENTS
Securing a cable to a panel includes assembling a cable clamp arrangement to a cable and mounting the cable clamp arrangement to the panel. Assembling the cable clamp arrangement includes disposing a grommet around an exterior surface of the cable; disposing a yoke around the grommet so that the yoke at least partially surrounds the grommet; and compressing the yoke and grommet between a bracket and a backing plate using a fastener so that the cable is compressed. Mounting the cable clamp arrangement to the panel includes sliding the bracket relative to the panel in a direction parallel to a surface of the panel until the bracket rests on fasteners extending from the panel. Mounting the clamp arrangement can also include tightening the fasteners.
I-beam-attachable lifeline system
I-beam-attachable lifeline system, including methods and apparatus, for worker safety. In some embodiments, the system may comprise a frame structure including upright columns and horizontal I-beams. The system also may comprise a pair of fittings connected to a horizontally-spaced pair of the I-beams. Each fitting may have a first hook component and a second hook component received on respective opposite edge regions of a flange of an I-beam of the pair of I-beams and attached to one another with a fastener such that the fitting spans the flange transversely and is supported by the I-beam. The system further may comprise a cable having opposite ends connected to the pair of fittings.
Table saws with safety systems and systems to mount and index attachments
Table saws and table saws designed to implement safety systems that detect contact between a person and a dangerous portion of the saw are disclosed. Table saw components, mounting systems for table saws, and table saw attachments are also disclosed. One embodiment may include a first clamp surface, a second clamp surface spaced apart from the first clamp surface so that a base portion of a riving knife or splitter can be placed between the clamp surfaces with the opposing sides of the base portion generally parallel to the first and second clamp surfaces.
