RAPID EXCHANGE DILATOR FOR SHEATHLESS CATHETERIZATION
A dilator for sheathless access to a vessel of a patient having a tubular distal member with a skived portion on the proximal end and a proximal member with a skived portion on the distal end. The respective skived portions overlap at a transition region and form a rapid exchange port that communicates with the lumen of the distal member. The proximal member and the distal member may be secured together with transition tubing that is coaxially disposed over the distal and of the proximal member and extends over the skived portion of the distal member within a projected circumference of the distal member.
In vivo positionable filtration devices and methods related thereto
In vivo positionable filtration devices are provided that filter one or more therapeutic agents in blood flowing in a blood vessel. The filtration devices include an elongated member and a filtering component coupled to the elongated member. The elongated member and the filtering component are dimensioned for positioning within the blood vessel of a human or non-human animal. Further, the filtering component includes a filtration material to filter the one or more therapeutic agents from the blood. Methods of in vivo filtration of the one or more therapeutic agents are also provided. The methods include positioning a filtration device in the blood vessel of a body of the human or non-human animal, and administering a therapeutic agent upstream from a target tissue site to direct flow of the therapeutic agent to the target tissue site and then to the filtration device. The filtration device is positioned downstream from the target tissue site.
Cannula, ECMO assistance system
A cannula for the circulation of a fluid in an artery, includes a main lumen conveying a volume of fluid towards a first distal end; an accessory lumen including at least one inner portion arranged inside the main lumen, including: a proximal end situated downstream from the proximal end of the main lumen so as to capture a fraction of the flow of fluid entering the main lumen; a bent portion modifying the direction of flow of the fluid flow captured by the accessory lumen with respect to the direction of flow of the fluid emerging from the first end; a second distal end situated upstream from the first distal end of the main lumen, emerging on a side opening of the cannula so as to direct the captured fraction of liquid in the modified direction of flow.
MAMMALIAN BODY IMPLANTABLE FLUID FLOW INFLUENCING DEVICE
Mammalian body implantable fluid flow influencing device for influencing flow of a first fluid within a first bodily conduit via a flow of a second fluid within a second bodily conduit, comprising a first and a second working end. Each end has a vaned rotor and an anchor for anchoring that end within a bodily conduit. Each end having a delivery configuration for percutaneous transcatheter endovascular delivery to an implantation site within a bodily conduit. A driveshaft assembly operatively interconnects the second end rotor with the first end rotor to transmit rotational movement of the second rotor to the first rotor. When the device is implanted within the body, the second vaned rotor acts as a turbine and extracts kinetic energy from the second fluid, and the first vaned rotor acts an impeller and imparts kinetic energy to the first fluid. The device is motorless.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR COMBINED VESSEL OCCLUSION AND GAS ENRICHMENT THERAPY
A system delivers gas-enriched blood or liquid within the vasculature of a patient while partially obstructing a flow of blood within the vasculature of the patient. The system may include a first catheter configured for inserting into a vasculature of a patient to deliver gas-enriched blood or liquid to a region of the vasculature of the patient. The system may include a second catheter configured for inserting into the vasculature of the patient. The second catheter includes lumens and an occlusion structure configured to partially obstruct a flow of blood within the vasculature of the patient while allowing the first catheter to deliver the gas-enriched blood or liquid to the region of the vasculature, and to divert the blood flow to the region where the gas-enriched blood or liquid is delivered.
Catheter Assembly for Blood Clots Removal
An endovascular catheter has an elongate catheter body having a distal portion, a proximal portion, a transition portion and a central lumen extending longitudinally through the catheter body, with the distal portion having a larger central lumen than the proximal portion. A guidewire tube extends through a hole in the transition portion from the proximal end of the distal portion through the central lumen of the distal portion to the distal end of the distal portion.
ANGIOPLASTY DEVICE
The invention relates to an angioplasty device for treating stenoses or occlusions that facilitates the diagnosis and visualisation of the stenosis and the treatment control having a duct dedicated to the injection of the contrast product.
Dual lumen cannula
A dual lumen coaxial cannula assembly includes a first infusion tube having a first elongate body defining a first lumen therethrough and a second drainage tube co-axially aligned with the first infusion tube and having a second elongate body with a second lumen defined by a space between the first infusion tube and second drainage tube. A connector is removably attached to the first infusion tube and the second drainage tube for coupling the dual lumen coaxial cannula to an extracorporeal blood circuit. The first infusion tube and the second drainage tube include a plurality of infusion and drainage apertures, respectively, provided at the distal end and extending through the sidewall of the first infusion tube and the drainage tube, respectively.
DUAL LUMEN CANNULA
