METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR TREATMENT OF ACUTE ISCHEMIC STROKE
20220370767 · 2022-11-24 ·

A system of devices for treating an artery includes an arterial access sheath adapted to introduce an interventional catheter into an artery and an elongated dilator positionable within the internal lumen of the sheath body. The system also includes a catheter formed of an elongated catheter body sized and shaped to be introduced via a carotid artery access site into a common carotid artery through the internal lumen of the arterial access sheath. The catheter has an overall length and a distal most section length such that the distal most section can be positioned in an intracranial artery and at least a portion of the proximal most section is positioned in the common carotid artery during use.

Balloon catheter

A balloon catheter having a distal-end tip which, even if caught in a stenosis, will not break apart from a distal end of an inner shaft of the balloon catheter when the balloon catheter is forcibly rotated or pulled by an operator. The distal-end tip of the balloon catheter is fixed to the distal end of the inner shaft, and a connecting tube covers an outer surface of the distal end of the inner shaft and a proximal end of the distal-end tip. An inwardly protruding portion of the connecting tube is embedded into the distal-end tip. This creates an anchoring effect and increases a welding area between an outer surface of the distal-end tip and an inner surface of the connecting tube, thereby reducing a risk that the distal-end tip will break apart from the distal end of the inner shaft.

APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR RESTORING TISSUE

An apparatus and methods tissue restoration are provided. The apparatus may include a catheter shaft extending from a proximal end to a distal tip and a translucent first distal balloon positioned on a translucent distal segment of the catheter shaft inside of and concentric with a second distal balloon proximal to the distal tip in fluid communication with a drug source via a first lumen, the first distal balloon may include first and second outer surfaces, and longitudinal and circumferential channels. A first light fiber and a second light fiber each positioned in the catheter shaft and extending through the translucent distal segment. The drug source provides at least one drug to the first distal balloon via the first lumen.

DEVICE USEFUL FOR LOCALIZED THERAPEUTIC DELIVERY WITHOUT FLOW OBSTRUCTION

Medical devices and methods are provided. In some aspects, devices useful for applying therapy locally within a body vessel are disclosed, the devices having a stent graft with flared end regions with a catheter providing fluid communication to the outer side of the narrower, intermediate region of the stent graft. Kits and systems including the same devices and methods are also disclosed.

Lumen management catheter

An elongate medical device comprising a first lumen, wherein a cross-sectional shape of the first lumen comprises a peanut shape, and a plurality of second lumens, wherein the plurality of second lumens are proximate the first lumen, wherein the first lumen comprises a lumen liner that conforms to the cross-sectional shape of the first lumen, wherein the lumen liner comprises a first material and the elongate medical device comprises a second material, where the first material is different from the second material.

Urinary catheter with guide wire

A urinary catheter is readily removed and replaced with a second urinary catheter without introducing foreign matter or contaminants into the bladder. The first urinary catheter includes an extra lumen that houses a sheath therein to seal an opening or third hole at or near the tip of the catheter so that fluids do not enter the extra lumen. After the sheath seal is broken and the sheath is extracted from the catheter, a guidewire is threaded through the extra lumen and into the patient's bladder. The first urinary catheter is withdrawn from the patient, leaving the guidewire in the patient. A second urinary catheter is inserted into the patient over the guidewire, with the guidewire present in the urine lumen of the second urinary catheter. The guidewire then is extracted from the patient.

System for a catheter

A system for providing a continuous passage through a delivery catheter comprising a handle that defines an internal chamber. A first tube having a proximal end and a distal end and a first bore, the first tube being fixedly mounted within the handle, wherein the first bore at the distal end of the first tube is shaped to define a first inverse conical surface. A second tube having a proximal end and a distal end and a second bore, the second tube being slidably mounted within the handle, wherein the second bore is in axial alignment with the first bore. A third tube having a proximal end and a distal end and a third bore.

A catheter for vascular insertion, including a catheter body defining a first lumen and a second lumen, and including a distal region. The distal region may include a first distal opening in fluid communication with the first lumen, and a second distal opening in fluid communication with the second lumen. The distal region may also include a first lateral opening defined by the catheter body and in fluid communication with the first lumen, and a second lateral opening defined by the catheter body and in fluid communication with the second lumen. One or both of the first and second lateral openings may be defined by an angle cross-cut through an outer perimeter of the catheter body.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR THROMBOLYSIS AND DELIVERY OF AN AGENT

A system for aspirating thrombus and delivering an agent includes an aspiration catheter having a supply lumen having a proximal end, a distal end, and a wall, and an aspiration lumen having a proximal end, an open distal end, and an interior wall surface adjacent the open distal end, and at least one orifice at or adjacent the distal end of the supply lumen, in fluid communication with the aspiration lumen and located proximally of the open distal end of the aspiration lumen, wherein the at least one orifice is configured to create a spray pattern that is caused to impinge on the interior wall surface of the aspiration lumen such that the spray pattern upon impinging on the interior wall surface is caused to transform into at least a substantially distally-oriented flow capable of exiting the open distal end of the aspiration lumen.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR THE DIALYSIS OF BLOOD

Apparatus for use in dialyzing a patient, the apparatus comprising: a hemodialysis catheter comprising: an elongated body having a proximal end and a distal end, wherein the distal end terminates in a substantially planar distal end surface; first and second lumens extending from the proximal end of the elongated body to the distal end of the elongated body, wherein the first and second lumens terminate on the substantially planar distal end surface in first and second mouths, respectively, arranged in side-by-side configuration, and further wherein the first and second lumens are separated by a septum; and first and second longitudinal slots formed in the distal end of the elongated body and communicating with the interiors of the first and second lumens, respectively, the first and second longitudinal slots opening on the substantially planar distal end surface; wherein the first and second longitudinal slots each has a length and a width, relative to the dimensions of the first and second lumens and the rate of blood flow to be passed through the hemodialysis catheter, such that (i) when a given lumen is to be used for a return function, the primary blood flow will exit the mouth of that lumen, and (ii) when a given lumen is to be used for a suction function, the primary blood flow will enter the proximal end of the longitudinal slot associated with that lumen, whereby to minimize undesirable recirculation of dialyzed blood.
