DELIVERY SYSTEM FOR A HEART VALVE SUPPORT DEVICE

Devices for assisting with the functioning of a tricuspid valve of a heart include a shaft, a flow optimizer, and an anchoring mechanism. A tilting mechanism can be configured to tilt the shaft relative to a central axis of the anchoring mechanism. Leaflets (e.g., multi-layer leaflets) of the flow optimizer can include a membrane and a rim, and the rim can have a higher stiffness than the membrane. A delivery system can be configured to deliver the device and adjust the position of the flow optimizer with respect to the anchoring mechanism.

Catheter with single axial sensors

A catheter has single axis sensors mounted directly along a portion of the catheter whose position/location is of interest. The magnetic based, single axis sensors are on a linear or nonlinear single axis sensor (SAS) assembly. The catheter includes a catheter body and a distal 2D or 3D configuration provided by a support member on which at least one, if not at least three single axis sensors, are mounted serially along a length of the support member. The magnetic-based sensor assembly may include at least one coil member wrapped on the support member, wherein the coil member is connected via a joint region to a respective cable member adapted to transmit a signal providing location information from the coil member to a mapping and localization system. The joint region provides strain relief adaptations to the at least one coil member and the respective cable member from detaching.

Endoscopic medical device and method of use

A medical device including a handle body having a proximal end and a distal end, a spool on the handle body and to move between the distal end and the proximal end of the handle body, a catheter extending from the distal end of the handle body, an actuator attached to the spool and extending through the catheter, such that the actuator is removably connected to one or more dispensable devices at a distal end of the catheter, a spool controller to prevent connection with another of the dispensable devices to the actuator after a predetermined number of dispensable devices have been dispensed by the medical device.

Catheter with active return curve

An active return curve deflectable catheter includes an elongate member, a fixation member, a deflection assembly, and a pull wire. The fixation member is coupled to a distal portion of the elongate member. The deflection assembly includes a hub assembly coupled to a proximal end of the elongate member, a handle, and a control member. The pull wire extends from the control member through the hub assembly to the fixation member. The elongate member is configured to deflect from an initial configuration to a deflected configuration in response to a pull force applied to the pull wire by actuation of the control member in a first direction.

Catheter with distal and proximal fixation members

A deflectable catheter includes an elongate member having a wall defining a longitudinally extending lumen extending from a proximal end to a distal end, a fixation member coupled to an exterior surface of the wall on a distal portion of the elongate member, and a pull wire extending through the wall of the elongate member from the proximal end of the elongate member to the fixation member. The pull wire is coupled to the fixation member and constrained along its length such that the elongate member is configured to deflect from an initial configuration to a deflected configuration in response to a pull force applied to the pull wire and actively return from the deflected configuration to the initial configuration in response to a push force applied to the pull wire.

SHEATH

A sheath, including a sheath body, a handle, and a traction wire. The traction wire includes a first traction wire. The handle includes a first guide rail member and a first slider. The first slider is connected to the first traction wire. A first groove is provided on an outer wall of the first guide rail member along an axial direction. The first groove includes a first bottom and a first side wall. The first slider slides in the first groove along the first side wall so as to drive the first traction wire to move. At least part of the outer wall of the first guide rail member is radially recessed to a central shaft of the first guide rail member to form the first groove.

A catheter assembly includes: a catheter; a catheter hub fixed to the catheter; an inner needle inserted through the catheter; a grip fixed to and holding the inner needle; a first support portion, which is a member separate from the grip and is configured to support an outer side of the catheter; and a second support portion, which is a member separate from the grip, has at least a part that is located at a position facing the first support portion, and is configured to support the outer side of the catheter. The first support portion and the second support portion are releasably engaged with each other.

Medical device including an actuator restraining assembly

The present disclosure provides a medical device comprising an actuator restraining assembly configured to assist in restraining a catheter shaft in a deflected configuration. The actuator restraining assembly may include a brake element, a release element, a connecting sheath, and a connecting rod disposed in a catheter handle, wherein the connecting sheath and connecting rod are attached to an actuator mechanism, and wherein the at brake element is attached to the connecting sheath and the release element is attached to the connecting rod. The brake element is sized and configured to contact an inner wall of the handle to thereby provide resistance to movement of actuator mechanism in a proximal direction with respect to the handle. In one embodiment, the actuator restraining assembly is configured to allow for temporary, i.e., reversible, restraining of the catheter shaft in the deflected configuration.
