Various devices and methods having detachable handles at a proximal end thereof for use in the working channel of an endoscope. The detachable components at the proximal end allow the endoscope to be retracted and removed over the device, while leaving the device in place for purposes such as tissue manipulation.

Patient interface

A patient interface includes a first body that rests on a first portion of a patient's face, a second body that rests on a second portion of the patient's face, and a bridge linking the first and second bodies. The patient interface includes an attachment structure that couples with a complementary fixation structure positioned on the patient's face to secure the patient interface to the patient's face. The complementary fixation structure can be configured to assist in retaining a feeding tube in position relative to the patient's face or to the patient interface.

Provided is an orogastric tube guide that can be used to accurately and quickly place an orogastric tube into the esophagus of a subject. In some embodiments, the orogastric tube guide is placed into the mouth of the subject after the subject has been intubated with an endotracheal tube. When placed in the midline of the subject's mouth, the disclosed orogastric tube guide aims placement of an orogastric tube towards the subject's esophagus. The orogastric tube guide also optionally contains a bite block to prevent a patient's teeth from clamping down on an endotracheal tube. The orogastric tube guide also optionally contains ports that can be attached to air tubing for providing supplemental oxygen after endotracheal extubation, thereby avoiding the need for nasal cannula.

A DEVICE FOR HOLDING ENDOTRACHEAL TUBES

A device for holding endotracheal tubes includes a bite tube that defines a passage zone for at least one endotracheal tube; a front plate and an adjustable retainer joined to the bite tube, and which form means for limiting displacement of the bite tube in an axial direction towards the interior and exterior of the mouth of the patient, respectively; and means for immobilising at least one endotracheal tube with respect to the bite tube in an axial direction. The device includes a lateral opening along the entire length of the bite tube, the front plate and the adjustable retainer for lateral or transversal introduction of at least one endotracheal tube into the passage zone defined by the bite tube.

Patient tube securement apparatus for securing a patient tube to a patient

A patient tube securement apparatus is disclosed that may be used for oral or nasal intubation of a patient. The apparatus may comprise an endotracheal tube securement apparatus for securing an endotracheal tube to a patient, the apparatus comprising a dermal patch arranged to be positioned on the skin of the patient, and at least one tube holder on the dermal patch. The apparatus may comprise a patient tube securement apparatus for securing a patient tube to a patient, the apparatus comprising a dermal patch arranged to be positioned on the skin of the patient, and at least one tube holder on the dermal patch. Examples are provided in which the tube holder is adjustably mounted on the dermal patch such that the position of the tube holder on the dermal patch can be adjusted without removing the dermal patch from the skin of the patient.

An endotracheal tube mount includes an armature including a central rib having opposed ends and a tube holder assembly mounted to the armature for horizontal movement along the rib between the opposed ends. The tube holder assembly includes a shuttle which rides on the central rib between the opposed ends and tube holder means which are coupled to the shuttle and are for holding an endotracheal tube in a position below the rib. In the mount, one of the armature and tube holder assembly includes vertical adjustment means for adjusting the position of the endotracheal tube vertically with respect to the rib.

ENDOTRACHEAL TUBE FIXATION

A fixation device (1) for a medical line (L) to a patient is provided. The medical line may be a wire, a tube, an endotracheal tube or similar. The fixation device comprises a support member (3) supporting a retainer (5), the retainer defining an axis and being adapted to retain the medical line extending in axial direction. The retainer comprises an enclosure (25) for radially retaining the line and a clamp (27). The clamp is configured to provide a crimping force around the axis for fixing the line in at least axial direction, preferably also radial direction, relative to the enclosure.
