Sheath assembly for insertion of a cord-shaped element, particularly a catheter, into the body of a patient
Sheath assembly for the insertion of a cord-shaped element, comprising an introducer sheath, and an auxiliary sheath for insertion into the introducer sheath together with the cord-shaped element. In some examples, the auxiliary sheath has a housing configured to detachably couple to the introducer sheath housing, and to detachably fasten the cord-shaped element with respect to the auxiliary sheath housing.
MICRO CATHETER CALIPER
An example catheter caliper according to the present disclosure includes a tube having a plurality of markers at predetermined intervals and a wire extending from the tube, wherein the catheter caliper is configured to be received into the vasculature of a patient. Other example catheter calipers and example methods of using the catheter caliper is also disclosed.
ASPIRATION CATHETER
Systems and methods for performing aspiration thrombectomy. The aspiration catheter assembly can include a support catheter and an aspiration catheter extending through the support catheter. The catheter assembly can include a distal valve apparatus that can control a level of vacuum at a distal end of the catheter system. Irrigation can flow between the support catheter and the aspiration catheter to flush the catheter assembly.
SYSTEM FOR AIDING PLACEMENT OF A NASOGASTRIC TUBE OR A NASODUODENAL TUBE AND METHOD FOR USING THE SAME
A system for aiding placement of a nasogastric tube or a nasoduodenal tube and a method for using the same is disclosed, and the system comprises that of: a placing tube; a three-way connector, having a first port, a second port, and a third port, the first port being on the opposite end to the second port, the first port being adjacent to the third port, the first port being connected with a proximal end of the placing tube, the third port being adapted for pumping air or fluid into the three-way connector; an endoscope, having an insertion tube and an image-capturing device, the distal end of the insertion tube being a bending section, the image-capturing device being located in the front end of the bending section; and a display unit, connected with the endoscope.
Percutaneous Potts Shunt Devices and Related Methods
The disclosure provides various embodiments of prostheses and delivery systems to permit an interventional cardiologist to create shunts between various blood vessels. Moreover, the disclosed shunts can be used to shunt between various hollow organs, as set forth in the present disclosure.
Catheter handle
A medical instrument includes first and second knobs. The first knob is fitted on a handle of the medical instrument, and is movable along a longitudinal axis of the medical instrument to control a deflection of a medical device coupled to a distal end of the medical instrument relative to the longitudinal axis. The second knob is fitted on the handle of the medical instrument, and is movable along the longitudinal axis to control a shape of the medical device.
Catheter system with extendable extension tube
A catheter system may include a catheter adapter having a distal end, a proximal end, and a lumen extending therebetween. The system may include a catheter tube extending distally from the catheter adapter. The system may include an extension tube coupled to the proximal end of the catheter adapter. The extension tube may be extendable. The system may include a locking mechanism coupled to the extension tube and removably coupled to the proximal end of the catheter adapter. The system may include a needle hub removably coupled to a proximal end of the extension tube and an introducer needle extending through the catheter tube. A proximal end of the introducer needle may be secured within the needle hub.
Methods and systems for treatment of acute ischemic stroke
Methods and devices are disclosed that enable safe, rapid and relatively short and straight access to the cerebral arteries for the introduction of interventional devices to treat acute ischemic stroke. In addition, the disclosed methods and devices provide means to securely close the access site to the cerebral arteries to avoid the potentially devastating consequences of a transcervical hematoma.
Devices for transvascular retrograde access placement
The present invention relates to methods of transvascular retrograde access placement and to devices that facilitate these methods. For purposes of the present invention, transvascular retrograde access placement generally comprises the insertion of a vascular catheter into a central blood vessel through the puncturing of the central blood vessel from the inside of the central blood vessel with a needle or other similarly configured device, or a needle-tipped guidewire of the present invention, and exiting that needle from the patient through the skin rather than the traditional approach of inserting a needle from the outside of the skin surface to the inside of a blood vessel.
Pessary system and method for pelvic floor ligament support
A pessary system for providing pelvic floor support for USL and other ligaments. The pessary has an elongated probe with independently inflatable balloons each located substantially the same distance from the insertion end of the probe and which inflate into separate radial sectors. The probe can be inserted into a vaginal cavity and the balloons inflated provide mechanical support to the USLs. Independent inflation of each balloon allows the mechanical USL support provided to be varied on left and right sides to compensate for differences in the degree of degradation and positioning of the USL ligaments on either side.
