SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR LOW-PROFILE OCCLUSION BALLOON CATHETER
An occlusion catheter system includes a proximal hub having an inflation connection port and an inflation pathway. An inflation catheter member is connected to the proximal hub and has an inflation lumen. A stiffener member defines a longitudinal axis. The proximal end of the stiffener member is connected to the proximal hub. The stiffener member extends through a portion of the inflation lumen. An occlusion balloon has a proximal balloon end and a distal balloon end. A distal catheter member is positioned substantially on the longitudinal axis and is connected to the distal end of the stiffener member. An atraumatic tip is positioned on a distal end of the distal catheter member. The atraumatic tip has a substantially circular profile in a relaxed configuration. A pressure sensor is connected to the occlusion catheter system distally relative to the occlusion balloon and is connected to a processor by electrical wiring.
System and method for the effective, reliable and foolproof delivery of controlled amounts of a medical fluid
A method for using CO.sub.2 as a contrast material in medical imaging procedures is disclosed. The method includes providing a source of pressurized CO.sub.2. The step of providing includes connecting the source of pressurized CO2 to a compressed gas unit for controlling delivery of the CO.sub.2. The method also includes regulating pressure of the CO.sub.2 delivered by the compressed gas unit, transmitting the pressurized CO.sub.2 from the compressed gas unit to a control valve assembly for delivery to a patient in controlled dosages, and sequentially processing the CO.sub.2 with the control valve assembly and delivering the CO.sub.2 to the patient as a contrast media.
Inflation devices with proximity pairing and methods and systems related thereto
Inflation devices configured to communicate with remote displays are disclosed herein. Systems including such inflation devices with portable display devices are also disclosed herein. Methods of pairing a medical device to a portable display and remotely displaying pressure data from a medical device are also disclosed herein. Devices, systems, and methods of connecting medical devices to remote displays using proximity pairing and visual aids, and transferring information to or from linked computers are also disclosed.
SOFT TISSUE CUTTING DEVICE AND METHODS OF USE
Some embodiments provide a soft tissue device, such as a transverse carpal ligament cutting device having one or more balloons that are deflated when the device is in an inactive position and are inflated when the device is in an active position. Other embodiments provide a soft tissue cutting method, such as a method of cutting a transverse carpal ligament that uses a soft tissue cutting device.
ARTERIOTOMY POSITIONING DEVICE AND METHOD OF USE THEREFOR
A method and device for positioning an expandable support in a blood vessel is disclosed herein. The device may include a handle, a catheter assembly, a core wire, and an expandable support. The expandable support may be used to position the device relative to the arteriotomy, as well as to provide temporary hemostasis. The expandable support may be attached to the catheter assembly at a first end, and to the core wire at a second end to optimize the width of the expandable support based on the function being performed by the expandable support at a given time. The catheter assembly may be able to move relative to the handle and the core wire, thereby moving the first end of the expandable support relative to the handle and the core wire.
MULTI-STAGE BALLOON CATHETER SYSTEMS AND METHODS
The embodiments disclosed herein relate to balloon dilation systems. The balloon dilation systems can include a balloon catheter assembly, an elongated member, and a balloon inflation device. The balloon catheter assembly can comprise a balloon that is configured to be expanded to a plurality of discrete diameters at a plurality of discrete pressures.
PULMONARY ARTERY CATHETER WITH ECHOCARDIOGRAPHY PROBE
Provided herein are pulmonary artery catheters comprising an echocardiogram probe. Devices herein are capable of taking both hemodynamic and echocardiographic measurements.
FLUID PRESSURE GUN DEVICE FOR BALLOON CATHETER
A fluid pressure gun device for a balloon catheter includes a tubular cavity, a fluid tube, a pressure monitoring device, a plunger, a screw structure, a cover and a detent structure, wherein inside the body of the cavity forms a chamber. The plunger is disposed in the chamber, and the inside of the casing forms a chamber. The screwing structure includes two screwing blocks, and each screwing block is oppositely arranged in the chamber according to the plunger as the center. Each of the screw blocks is screwed with the plunger, and a plurality of springs respectively lean against the screw block and the cover. The detent structure is used to depart the screw blocks from the plunger. The plunger is supported by each screw block at least on two opposite sides, and making it a highly reliable combination of the plunger and each screw block.
PESSARY SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PELVIC FLOOR LIGAMENT SUPPORT
A pessary system for providing pelvic floor support for USL and other ligaments. The pessary has an elongated probe with independently inflatable balloons each located substantially the same distance from the insertion end of the probe and which inflate into separate radial sectors. The probe can be inserted into a vaginal cavity and the balloons inflated provide mechanical support to the USLs. Independent inflation of each balloon allows the mechanical USL support provided to be varied on left and right sides to compensate for differences in the degree of degradation and positioning of the USL ligaments on either side.
VASCULAR CATHETER AND METHOD
A vascular catheter includes a catheter shaft having a distal end, a proximal end, a handle, at least two occlusion elements adapted to isolate a volume of the blood vessel, and an expandable balloon, between the two occlusion elements. The catheter shaft includes a first hole that opens into the expandable balloon. The catheter handle includes a first pumping device associated with a first path and with a first tank containing a first fluid, a second pumping device associated with a second path and with a second tank containing a second fluid, and a synchronization device connectable both to the first and to the second pumping devices.
