Temperature measurement in arrays for delivering TTFields
TTFields therapy is a proven approach for treating tumors using electric fields. This application describes systems and methods for measuring the temperature at the electrode elements of the transducer arrays that are used to apply the TTFields to a subject. A distal circuit is positioned adjacent to each transducer array, and the distal circuit interfaces with temperature sensors in the transducer array to obtain temperature readings. Those temperature readings are transmitted to a central hub. In some embodiments, temperature measurements from all of the distal circuits occur simultaneously.
ASSEMBLIES CONTAINING TWO CONDUCTIVE GEL COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS OF PRODUCTION AND USE THEREOF
An assembly for use in a TTField-generating system is disclosed that includes at least one electrode in combination with a polymerized conductive hydrogel and a liquid conductive hydrogel disposed on at least a portion of the polymerized hydrogel. Also disclosed are transducer arrays including the assemblies, as well as kits and methods of producing and using the assemblies, arrays, and systems.
Apparatus for treatment of snoring and sleep apnoea
A portable, battery powered apparatus (10) generates an electrical signal between electrodes (15a, 15b) to be applied to the skin of a patient for reduction or prevention of snoring or obstructive sleep apnoea. The signal comprises electrical stimulation at a frequency of 1-100 Hz and the signal comprises a stimulation free period of at least 0.5 seconds every 20 seconds, avoiding muscle fatigue when used for long periods, e.g. overnight.
Device for electrical stimulation of peridontal complex and surrounding tissue
A device for electrical stimulation of one or more components of the periodontal complex and surrounding tissue of a tooth, for uses such as reducing orthodontic pain and encouraging tooth movement, has electrodes of a rigid, electrically conductive material in a fixed spatial relationship configured for application to oral mucosa and attached gingiva adjacent to, and along a periodontal ligament of, a root structure of a single tooth. An electrical circuit is configured for electrical connection to the at least two electrodes. The electrical circuit has an output providing a subsensory electrical stimulus comprising a waveform in accordance with predetermined stimulation parameters. After the electrodes are applied to the oral mucosa and attached gingiva adjacent to, and along the periodontal ligament of, a root structure of the tooth, a switch, when activated, activates the electrical circuit to output the electrical stimulus through the at least two electrodes.
HEALTHCARE DEVICE USING SMART GARMENT
According to an embodiment, a healthcare device using a smart garment comprises a conductive fabric coupled to an inner side of the smart garment and a main body detachably provided to the smart garment, the main body providing micro-current stimulation or low-frequency stimulation via the conductive fabric, and providing a measurement voltage via the conductive fabric to monitor a user's body fat.
CAGE ASSEMBLY FOR ANIMAL TEST SUBJECTS
A cage assembly can have at least one enclosure. Each enclosure can have a floor defining a floor area having a major dimension and a cover having a bottom surface. A spacing between the bottom surface of the cover and the floor can define a cage height. At least one sidewall can extend between the floor and the cover. A ratio of the cage height to the major dimension of the floor area of each enclosure of the at least one enclosure can be at least 0.70.
INFORMATION PROCESSING SYSTEM, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, AND RECORDING MEDIUM
[Problem] To provide an information processing system, an information processing method, and a recording medium capable of making a state of a user better according to an emotion of the user and improving quality of life. [Solution] The information processing system includes a control unit that estimates whether a user is positive or negative and has any one of a function of promoting an action of the user when it is estimated that the user is positive, a function of suppressing an action of the user when it is estimated that the user is negative, or a function of presenting a positive interpretation on a situation or action of the user when it is estimated that the user is negative.
SKIN CARE DEVICE
A skin care device according to an embodiment includes a main body and a head part connected to the main body, wherein the head part includes a housing in which an upper portion thereof is open, and including an accommodation space therein, an electrode part disposed in the housing, a plurality of light emitting elements disposed in the housing and spaced apart from the electrode part, and a cover part for shielding of the open upper region of the housing, wherein the cover part includes a hole corresponding to the electrode part, a part of the electrode part protrudes from an upper surface of the cover part via the hole, and an upper surface of the electrode part facing a skin of a user includes a convex curved surface toward the skin.
Electrical stimulation apparatus
An electrical stimulation apparatus includes a generator of sequential electrical pulses having predetermined values of parameters that include pulse amplitude, and duration and frequency of the pulses, the generator having one or more separate stimulation channels that independently deliver the pulse sequences to body areas. An electrode for each channel transmits the stimulation pulses and is applied outside the patient's skin at a predetermined region and with a predetermined position relative to the position of another electrode associated to another channel. One or more electrodes are borne by a flexible support element, fastenable in a position related to body anatomy, and are distributed on an extension of the support element according to a predetermined design, together with the pulse generator connected to the one or more electrodes or with two or more pulse generators connected to different electrodes also supported by the support element.
