Hot melt adhesive
A hot melt adhesive material and articles made using the hot melt adhesive to assemble structures in an article. The adhesive material typically is manufactured by blending amorphous polymer with a heterophase polymer having crystallinity into an adhesive composition.
Tie layer adhesives having graft compositions for bonding to metal substrates
Tie-layer adhesives having graft compositions for bonding to metal substrates is disclosed. The graft compositions are made up of the reaction product of a live, grafted polyolefin and an olefin elastomer. The grafted polyolefin is first made by heating a polyolefin and an unsaturated monomer. Further reaction of the live, grafted polyolefin with an olefin elastomer provides the graft composition. Grafting efficiency is boosted dramatically by the presence of the olefin elastomer and use of the additional reaction step. The graft composition, when formulated into a tie-layer adhesive provides improved bonding to metal substrates.
POLAR GROUP-CONTAINING OLEFIN COPOLYMER, MULTINARY POLAR OLEFIN COPOLYMER, OLEFIN RESIN COMPOSITION, AND ADHESIVE MATERIAL, LAMINATE, AND OTHER APPLICATION PRODUCTS USING SAME
The present invention relates to a polar group-containing olefin copolymer (A) which is produced through polymerization using a transition metal catalyst, which has a weight-average molecular weight falling within a specific range and which contains a polar group-containing monomer within a specific range; a multinary polar olefin copolymer (A) indispensably containing a polar monomer component that has a norbornene skeleton and a carboxyl group or an acid anhydride group and having three or more types of monomer units; and a resin composition (C) containing a specific amount of a polar group-containing olefin copolymer (A) and a specific amount of an olefin resin (B).
Coating material for achieving sound-dampening and method for the same
Sound-dampening material, including a base coat and a top coat, and a method for sound-dampening a surface, are described. The base coat includes about 20-50 percent rubber emulsion, about 10-20 percent carbonate filler, about 3-10 percent fire retardant, about 3-10 percent opacity filler, and about 10-64 percent of other components. The top coat includes about 40-80 percent of a rubber emulsion, about 10-20 percent of a carbonate filler, about 3-10 percent of a fire retardant, about 3-10 percent of an opacity filler, and about 0-44 percent of other components. The method includes applying a base coat to a desired thickness allowing the base coat to dry, then applying a top coat over the base coat to a desired thickness.
HOT MELT ADHESIVE

Flame-retardant polymer composition
The invention relates to a flame-proofed polymeric composition suitable for coating workpieces, containing a vinyl acetate-containing thermoplastic polymer and an unsaturated elastomer containing double bonds as polymeric components, wherein the polymeric components are present in the form of a homogeneous polymeric mixture, and a mixture matrix vulcanized exclusively by a sulphur or sulphur-containing crosslinking system is formed, wherein the sulphur crosslinking system extends across the entire matrix and permeates the matrix completely, andat least one flame retardant or a combination of flame retardants. The invention further relates to articles produced therefrom, and to composite elements coated with this composition and to a method for producing the same.
