Physiological Signal Assisted Acupuncture System and Automatic Electroacupuncture System
20230021851 · 2023-01-26 ·

A system that assists acupuncture based on the physiological signals of the human body. Physiological signals comprise respiratory signals, electrocardiographic signals, electrical skin signals, electroencephalograph signal, blood flow signals, pulse wave signals and/or signals derived from above signals. The acupuncture treatment process comprises the following: controlling the actuator of the automatic acupuncture device through physiological signals to start, to stop acupuncture treatment or to perform acupuncture techniques such as twisting or lifting-thrusting. It also provides an automatic acupuncture system to assist acupuncture based on Chinese Medicine Body Clock information.

Electrochemical reduction of unwanted deposits

The inventive concept relates to a needle tip for application of current, a hand piece, and a skin treatment apparatus that are equipped with a needle in which an electromagnetically-energized active region is formed as a partial region other than a tip end of the needle is exposed in a non-insulated state.

System for stimulating renal nerves
11547480 · 2023-01-10 · ·

The invention relates to a system (1) for stimulating renal nerves of a renal artery of a subject (3). The system comprises a stimulation device (12, 17, 28) for stimulating the renal nerves, a measuring unit (20) for measuring the blood pressure and/or the heart rate of the subject at at least two times, wherein at least one of these times is during or after the stimulation of the renal nerves, and a subject suitability determination unit (14) for determining whether the subject is suitable for a renal sympathetic denervation procedure based on the measured blood pressure and/or the measured heart rate. The invention allows therefore for a preselection of subjects which are suitable for a renal sympathetic denervation procedure.

Systems and methods for ruggedized penetrating medical electrode arrays

Systems and methods for ruggedized neural probes are provided. Such probes may be adapted for penetrating tissue. An exemplary ruggedized penetrating electrode array system includes an elongate shank having one or more electrodes disposed on at least one exterior surface thereof and a backend structure. A proximal end of the elongate shank is secured to the backend structure. The exemplary array system further includes an elongate carrier secured to the backend structure and extending away from the backend structure toward the distal end of the elongate shank, the elongate carrier being more rigid than the elongate shank. Methods for fabricating such an array system are also provided.

An electrode array for use with an electroporation device includes a support member having a top surface and a bottom surface and defines a plurality of injection channels extending from the top surface to the bottom surface. A plurality of needle electrodes are coupled to the support member, such that distal ends of the plurality of needle electrodes extend to a needle depth below the bottom surface. The plurality of needle electrodes are arranged in a matrix pattern having rows of the needle electrodes and columns of the needle electrodes disposed along the support member. The plurality of injection channels are dispersed within the matrix pattern.

Devices and methods for delivery of electrical current for pain relief

Device/system that provides pain relief by delivering stimulation that neither generates action potentials nor completely blocks neural transmission (in the peripheral nerve). The present teachings provide relief by modulating release of neurotransmitters in peripheral nerves to cause neuromodulation at the level of the peripheral nerve (modulation of neural signals in the peripheral nerve). The present teachings provide relief by modulating release of neurotransmitters in peripheral nerves to cause neuromodulation at the level of the peripheral nerve (modulation of neural signals in the peripheral nerve) to alter the frequency of physiologically generated neural transmission.
