PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT
The present invention relates to anti-microbial, antiviral, fibers, and fabrics and to devices made from said fabrics. The invention has particular utility in connection with personal protective equipment (PPE’s) such as surgical masks and respirators, and will be described in connection with such utilities, although other utilities are contemplated, including, for example for forming air handling filters for people movers, i.e., automobiles, trucks, buses, trains, ships and planes, as well as for forming filters for air handling equipment for buildings.
SYMPATHETIC NERVOUS SYSTEM RESPONSE TO STIMULATION OF CAROTID BODIES FOR PATIENT STRATIFICATION IN RENAL DENERVATION
A system includes a processor circuit in communication with an anatomical measurement device. The anatomical measurement device receives a metric associated with a sympathetic response of a patient. The sympathetic nervous system of the patient is then stimulated. The anatomical measurement device then receives another metric associated with a sympathetic response of the patient while the sympathetic nervous system is stimulated. The processor circuit then provides an output based on the comparison.
Stretchable Encapsulation Material with High Dynamic Water Resistivity and Tissue-Matching Elasticity
An encapsulation for an implantable medical device is provided defined by a blend of high molecular weight polyisobutylene and low molecular weight polyisobutylene solution to provide desirable stretchability and elastic properties without sacrificing water resistance properties of the encapsulation. The encapsulation material is flexible thus allowing the medical device to possess tissue matching flexibility and retain long-term normal function free from liquid infiltration.
Method of producing a custom-fit orthopedic immobilization device
A method and system for creating a custom-fit orthopedic cast comprises obtaining at least one measurements taken from at least one image of a body part, selecting a template cast, modifying the template cast according to the measurements taken from the at least one image to generate a custom cast model and rendering a custom cast based on the custom cast model.
State assessment system, diagnosis and treatment system, and method for operating the diagnosis and treatment system
A state assessment system, a diagnosis and treatment system and a method for operating the diagnosis and treatment system are disclosed. An oscillator model converts a physiological signal of a subject into a defined feature image. A classification model analyzes state information of the subject based on the feature image. An analysis model outputs a treatment suggestion for the subject based on the state information of the subject. An AR projection device projects acupoint positions of a human body onto the subject, for the subject to be treated based on the treatment suggestion.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ASSOCIATING SYMPTOMS WITH MEDICAL CONDITIONS
Disclosed is a system for associating a symptom with a medical condition. The system comprises a server arrangement, associated with a user device. The server arrangement is operable to: provide, to user device, a set of user activities; receive, from user device, information relating to selection of a user activity from set of user activities; receive, from user device, user input associated with selected user activity; analyse user input and assign performance score thereto; identify, based on performance score, one or more symptoms; and assign severity score to symptom for associating symptom with medical condition. Disclosed also is method for associating symptom with medical condition and computer program product to execute aforementioned method.
Adhesive electrode for the registration of electric signals
An adhesive electrode for the registration of electric and electrobiological signals and/or for stimulating a patient includes a patient contact portion and a transmission portion. The patient contact portion includes a layer of adhesive electrolyte material in contact with the patient's skin, a layer of conductive material, and a layer of insulating material. The transmission portion is also connected to the conductive layer. The layer of conductive material includes at least partially a layer of magnetic material, the transmission portion being removably secured to the layer of magnetic material.
RECHARGEABLE STIMULATION APPLIANCE
An electrical stimulation therapy appliance, system, and method for neuromodulation and treatment of various neurological conditions, including but not limited to sexual dysfunctions like premature ejaculation or decreased orgasm intensity in males, and persistent genital arousal or decreased arousal in females. The electrical stimulation therapy appliance, system, and method including a detachable control housing that can be recharged or reprogramed. The control housing being removably connectable to a disposable patch.
Signal processing apparatus and signal processing method
A signal processing apparatus includes a memory, and a processor coupled to the memory and configured to perform a process including obtaining measurement data including a signal of interest and an interference signal generated in proximity to a signal source of the signal of interest, estimating a signal source in an extraction target area including the signal source of the signal of interest and a signal source of the interference signal based on the measurement data, selecting the signal source of the interference signal based on a result of the estimating a signal source and extracting interference signal data generated from the selected signal source of the interference signal, and extracting the signal of interest by removing a common part between the measurement data and the interference signal data.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR TREATING MULTIPLE TUMORS IN PATIENTS WITH METASTATIC DISEASE BY ELECTRIC FIELDS
A method of applying electrode elements configured in an array of elements to an individual's skin, the electrode elements being part of an apparatus for delivering a plurality of electromagnetic fields to the body of the individual, the method comprising the steps of: positioning, applying, holding and bowing. The positioning step includes the positioning of each of the electrode elements of the array of elements into corresponding cavities in at least one holding rack. The applying step includes the applying of a medical adhesive to a surface of the plurality of electrode elements. The holding step includes the holding of the holding rack against the skin at a selected location. The bowing step includes the bowing of a portion of the holding rack causing one of the electrode elements to pop out of the holding rack, with the electrode element adhering to the skin by way of the medical adhesive.
