METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR REGULATING CORE BODY TEMPERATURE
A method for maintaining and/or increasing body temperature of a patient may involve delivering heat to a first location on a limb of the patient, delivering heat to a second location on the limb, apart from the first location, and applying intermittent compression to a third location on the limb, located between the first location and the second location. A device for maintaining and/or increasing body temperature of a patient may include a sleeve for positioning over at least part of one of the patient's limbs, first and second heat delivery members coupled with the sleeve, and an intermittent compression member coupled with the sleeve between the first and second heat delivery members.
METHOD AND DEVICES FOR TREATING MUSCLES
An apparatus includes multiple first reservoirs and multiple second reservoirs joined with a substrate. Selected ones of the multiple first reservoirs include a reducing agent, and first reservoir surfaces of selected ones of the multiple first reservoirs are proximate to a first substrate surface. Selected ones of the multiple second reservoirs include an oxidizing agent, and second reservoir surfaces of selected ones of the multiple second reservoirs are proximate to the first substrate surface.
MODULAR STIMULATOR FOR TREATMENT OF BACK PAIN, IMPLANTABLE RF ABLATION SYSTEM AND METHODS OF USE
Apparatus and methods for treating back pain are provided, in which an implantable stimulator is configured to communicate with an external control system, the implantable stimulator providing a neuromuscular electrical stimulation therapy designed to cause muscle contraction to rehabilitate the muscle, restore neural drive and restore spinal stability; the implantable stimulator further including one or more of a number of additional therapeutic modalities, including a module that provides analgesic stimulation; a module that monitors muscle performance and adjusts the muscle stimulation regime; and/or a module that provides longer term pain relief by selectively and repeatedly ablating nerve fibers. In an alternative embodiment, a standalone implantable RF ablation system is described.

Herein disclosed include a flexible electronic device comprising a first component comprising a first biphasic portion, a second component, wherein the first component and the second component are in contact with an electrically conductive stretchable interface configured between the first component and the second component, wherein the electrically conductive stretchable interface comprises the first biphasic portion which is adhered to a portion of the second component, and wherein the first biphasic portion comprises a first polymer having (i) a surface partially covered with metal nanoparticles which are partially exposed at the surface, and (ii) metal nanoparticles which are completely embedded in the first polymer. The disclosure also includes a method of forming the flexible electronic device.
WEARABLE NOXIPOINTS STIMULATING DEVICES
Wearable devices for Noxipoints stimulation have a wearable member containing a grid of electrodes. The device is configured by a computer software to identify at least a pair of Noxipoints for applying one or more voltages to stimulate the Noxipoints.
METHODS FOR IMPROVING NEURAL COMMUNICATION BETWEEN TISSUE REGIONS
Described are methods for the improvement of neural communication between implanted and existing tissue. Methods herein use synchronous low frequency magnetic or electric stimulation of both regions to enhance communication and facilitate regeneration of nerve fibers across the tissue interface.
Electrical stimulator for treatment of back pain and methods of use
Apparatus and methods for treating back pain are provided in which electrical stimulation therapy is designed to cause muscle contraction to rehabilitate the muscle, restore neural drive and restore spinal stability. In accordance with one aspect, electrical stimulation is applied through at least one electrode to stimulate efferent motor nerve fibers to cause muscle contraction to facilitate rehabilitation without targeting stimulation of afferent nerve fibers. In accordance with another aspect, a stimulator further includes one or more of a number of additional therapeutic modalities, including a module that provides analgesic stimulation; a module that monitors muscle performance and adjusts the muscle stimulation regime; and/or a module that provides longer term pain relief by selectively and repeatedly ablating nerve fibers.
