Auricular acupuncture patch to which energy and blood stimulating part is attached
An auricular acupuncture patch to which an energy and blood stimulating part is attached is disclosed. The auricular acupuncture patch according to the present invention is attached along the reflect point of the ear, thereby being effective for treating dizziness, headaches, gastritis, asthma, gastroduodenal ulcers, enteritis, abdominal pain, diarrhea, bowel dysfunction, menstrual irregularity, insomnia, migraines, phobias, nervous vomiting, high fever, skin pruritus, oligogalactia, indigestion, obesity, smoking, and the like, and enabling the replacement of a decorative part, which are formed on the auricular acupuncture patch having the energy and blood stimulating part attached thereto, so as to provide various aesthetic effectiveness and conveniences in replacement.
Irradiation device and method for irradiating a radiation absorbing medium, hearing aid device and laser surgery device, in particular for laser ear surgery, with such an irradiation device
The invention relates to an irradiation device and a corresponding method for irradiating a radiation absorbing medium, as well as a hearing aid device and a laser surgery device comprising such an irradiation device. A radiation source is configured to generate one or more pulses of electromagnetic radiation and to irradiate the medium with the one or more pulses of electromagnetic radiation. A control unit is configured to control the radiation source such that the time course of the power or intensity of at least one pulse of the one or more pulses of electromagnetic radiation exhibits a rising slope and/or a falling slope, wherein the rising slope and/or falling slope has a maximum gradient which is smaller than a predetermined gradient value, whereby a generation of optoacoustic waves in the medium in response to the rising slope or falling slope, respectively, is avoided or significantly reduced.
Probe device, system and method for photobiomodulation of tissue lining a body cavity
A device is presented for use in treatment of tissues inside a body cavity. The device comprises a probe member having at least a portion thereof carrying a plurality of light sources, at least said portion of the probe member having dimensions and shape suitable for insertion into a certain body cavity and for arranging within the surface thereof a three-dimensional array of said light sources, the light sources being configured and operable to irradiate optical energy outwardly from said probe member.
PERIPHERAL NERVE STIMULATION DEVICE FOR AFFECTING PARASYMPATHETIC AND SYMPATHETIC ACTIVITY TO ACHIEVE THERAPEUTIC EFFECTS
The present disclosure relates to devices and methods for stimulating peripheral nerves in a patient via electrical, optical, mechanical, or other stimulation, in order to change the balance between parasympathetic and sympathetic activity by selectively increasing or decreasing each of parasympathetic and sympathetic activity. In a particular application, the present disclosure relates to a device for transdermal stimulation of the vagus nerve (including the auricular branch) to selectively affect the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system to achieve the desired therapeutic effect in a human subject.
BRAIN MONITORING AND STIMULATION DEVICES AND METHODS
Embodiments may provide self-guided, self-directed diagnostics and treatment of neural conditions. For example, a system may comprise: a processor, signal output circuitry interfacing the processor with a plurality of stimulation devices, the processor to control the stimulation devices to generate and transmit stimulation signals, signal input circuitry interfacing the processor with a plurality sensing devices, program instructions and data stored in the memory to configure the processor to receive sensed signals from the sensing devices, wherein the signal output circuitry and the signal input circuitry are configured to enable simultaneous stimulation and sensing, and program instructions and data stored in the memory to configure the processor to perform dynamic closed loop feedback of the stimulation signals based on the received sensed signals to provide self-guided, self-directed diagnostics and treatment of neural conditions using at least one recipe for a treatment strategy guided by artificial intelligence.
Methods and systems for treating tinnitus with transtympanic electrical stimulation
An electrical stimulation system that provides for transtympanic stimulation of the inner ear that can be used for safely and effectively treating tinnitus. The electrical stimulation system of the present invention may be fully implantable or partially implantable. The system features an electrode placed on the round window membrane. An external portion provides the power to the electrode, which can stimulate the inner ear via the round window as needed by the patient. The present invention also features methods of treating tinnitus using the electrical stimulation system described herein.
Bimodal hybrid cochlear implants
The invention relates to multimodal, e.g., bimodal, hybrid cochlear implants that provide both optical (optogenetic) as well as electrical stimulation to enhance sensitivity.
ENERGY AND GASEOUS HEALTH SUPPLEMENTS
Disclosed herein are method to deliver supplemental or therapeutically effective aliquots or doses of one or more of at least gaseous fluids to at least one of the ear canal, eyes, skin, hair and lungs. Methods and systems may include delivery of energy aliquots of photodynamic energy including in the red, long red and/or near IR spectra to the eyes. The method may include delivering gaseous fluid to a subject in an enclosed space with a partially opened bottom and a vent opposite the bottom, providing a gaseous fluid douche or bath to at least one of the eyes, ears, skin, hairline, nose and mouth of the subject.
Non-invasive nerve stimulation to patients
Devices, systems and methods are provided for treating a disease or disorder in a patient. The methods include positioning a surface of a housing in contact with an outer skin surface of the patient and applying sufficient energy to an energy transmitter within the housing via a power supply to generate an electrical impulse at or near a vagus nerve of the patient. The electrical impulse is sufficient to modulate fibers of the vagus nerve and treat the disease or disorder.
TREATMENT OF CENTRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM DISORDERS
Devices and methods for treating central nervous system disorders by administering light to a user are disclosed. In some embodiments, the devices are positioned away from the user, and in other embodiments, the devices are attached to the user. In some embodiments, the light is applied through the users skin, and in other embodiments, through an implanted or percutaneous device. Representative central nervous system disorders include cognitive, motor, and behavioral disorders. Where these disorders include an inflammatory component, light is administered at wavelengths which decrease inflammation in the brain. Where these disorders are caused by poor vascularization, light is administered at wavelengths which improve vascularization in the brain. The methods also include repairing damage to the blood brain barrier, and can be used to more effectively administer drugs, such as anticancer drugs, to the brain.
