Mid-turbine frame stator with repairable bushing and retention pin
A gas-turbine engine is provided comprising a high-pressure turbine, a low-pressure turbine aft of the high-pressure turbine, and a housing around the low-pressure turbine and the high-pressure turbine. A stator may be disposed between the low-pressure turbine and the high-pressure turbine with a boss formed on the stator. A bushing may be retained in the boss with a pin coupled to the housing and partially within the bushing. A method of mounting a full-ring stator is also provided, the method including the steps of inserting a bushing into a boss of the full-ring stator by press fitting, and inserting a pin into the bushing of the full-ring stator.
HEADBAND WITH 360-DEGREE GLITTER PATTERN
A headband or head cover including an elastic glitter or plain ribbon, a top portion of which forms the outside of the headband, where the elastic glitter or plain ribbon has a substantially 360-degree glitter pattern. The headband further includes a stretch velvet ribbon, a bottom portion of which forms the inside of the headband. The elastic glitter or plain ribbon is attached to the stretch velvet ribbon using a stretch and stitch method. The bottom of the stretch velvet ribbon includes a velvet-like material that forms a gripping portion. The outside of the headband includes a 360-degree view with no break. The inside of the headband includes 360-degree gripping portion with no break.
HEADBAND WITH A 360-DEGREE ELASTIC OUTSIDE PORTION JOINED WITH A 360-DEGREE VELVET INSIDE LINING
A headband is provided that includes an elastic outside and an inside lining. A top portion of the elastic outside forms the outside of the headband and has an elasticity. A bottom portion of the inside lining forms the inside of the headband and has an elasticity. Both the elastic outside and the inside lining are connected to make the headband a 360-degree elastic headband. At least the bottom portion of the inside lining includes a velvet material that forms a gripping portion. The elastic outside and the inside lining provide an elastic headband.
Fitting assembly evaluating apparatus and methods
The present application discloses methods and apparatus for installing fitting components, such as a conduit gripping device, on a conduit to form an assembly. The assembly is joinable with at least one other fitting component to form a fitting. The present application also discloses methods and apparatus for evaluating characteristics of components of a mechanically attached connection. Characteristics that may be evaluated include, but are not limited to, the position of a conduit gripping device on a conduit, an amount of axial compression or stroke of the conduit gripping device, an amount of clamping force applied to the conduit gripping device as the conduit gripping device is compressed, and an amount of torque applied to members that compresses the conduit gripping device.
Reinforced septum for an implantable medical device
A septum for sealably covering a fluid cavity defined in an implantable device, which may be an access port, and methods for assembling the implantable device. The septum may include a resilient septum body, an annular flange extending radially outward from the septum body, and a reinforcement component disposed in the annular flange for reinforcing engagement with a corresponding annular groove defined in a body of the implantable device. The reinforcement component may inhibit unintended detachment of the septum from the implantable device.
Restrained plastic pipe joint and method of making same
A gasket for preventing the separation of a pipe joint formed between plastic pipes such as pipes manufactured from PVC. The invention provides a restrained pipe joint including a first pipe including a bell with a spigot entryway and a substantially V-shaped annular groove. The annular groove includes a front radial wall and a rear radial wall and a gasket seated in the annular groove. The gasket includes an inner radial face, an opening defined by the inner radial face and an outer radial face with a front radial section located adjacent to the front radial wall of the annular groove and a rear radial section located adjacent to the rear radial wall of the annular groove. A plurality of restraining segments is at least partially embedded in the gasket.
Door manufacturing method for a freezer drawer
A method of making a gasket track for a gasket is provided. A first section of a c-shaped channel comprising from 50% to 75% of the c-shaped channel of a first plastic material is formed. A second section of a c-shaped channel comprising from 25% to 50% of the c-shaped channel of a second plastic material is formed. The first section is joined together with the second section to form all of the c-shaped channel. The c-shaped channel has a circular cross section that forms at least 65% of an ellipse.
Fluid coupling with lock connection
A method and apparatus for forming a quick connector with a lock connection. The quick connector includes a quick connector body and a mating component including an external spacing recess. The component includes a step bore extending from a first end. A seal member is mounted on the step surface for sealing connection to a tubular component inserted through the quick connector body into the bore end component. Material is displaced from the component into the body or from the body into the component to mechanically lock and fluidically seal the body in the first component.

A headband is provided that includes an elastic outside and an inside lining. A top portion of the elastic outside forms the outside of the headband and has an elasticity. A bottom portion of the inside lining forms the inside of the headband and has an elasticity. At least the bottom portion of the inside lining includes a velvet material that forms a gripping portion. The elastic outside and the inside lining provide an elastic headband.
