FLOW CONTROL VALVE
20190383403 · 2019-12-19 ·

Flow control valves may be positioned downstream of water meters to increase pressure and compress entrained water vapour passing through the meters. However, turbulence within such valves can cause the valve's head to move radially, bending a shaft within the valve which may break. Accordingly, there is provided a flow control valve comprising: a housing having a flow passage; a valve seat defined within the flow passage; a valve head moveable to a closed position to engage the valve seat and seal the flow passage; a shaft secured to the valve head; a support slidingly mounting the shaft within the housing; a spring biasing the valve head to the closed position and configured to maintain the valve head in the closed position until a predetermined pressure is applied; and a guide assembly extending along at least a portion of the flow passage to constrain radial movement of the valve head.

A piston check valve system includes a body including an upstream end and a downstream end, a bonnet secured to a proximal opening of the body, and a piston secured within the body, the piston being moveable between a closed position in which the piston rests upon a valve seat and an open position in which the piston is spaced away from the valve seat. The piston check valve system also includes a retainer configured to guide and retain the piston and to secure the valve seat within the body.

DAMPED CHECK VALVE HAVING MULTI-PRESSURE OPERATION

A damped check valve having multi-pressure operation is provided. The check valve includes a liner with a poppet movable within the liner. The liner defines a flow passage aligned along a longitudinal axis defined by the liner. A biasing element is operably coupled between the poppet and the liner to bias a first flow face of the poppet against an annular seat. The first flow face is configured such that a first fluid pressure is required to move the poppet from the closed position to an open position wherein the poppet is unseated from the annular seat and a second fluid pressure is required to hold the poppet in the open position, the second pressure being less than the first pressure. There is a sufficient diametrical clearance between the poppet and the liner which allows for flow control at pressures which are less than the initial opening pressure.

Pressure regulating valve with multi-pronged piston assembly

A pressure regulator includes a pronged piston positioned inside an internal chamber, such that the pronged piston moves longitudinally along the axis of the internal chamber in response to the pressures exerted on the piston by a liquid flowing through the regulator. The piston has a first disk and a second disk connected by a number of prongs. The second disk is configured to seal the inlet port of the pressure regulator when the piston is in a closed position and the number or prongs act as guides for the piston as it slides within the internal chamber.

VALVE WITH SEGMENTED SPRING GUIDE ASSEMBLY

Disclosed is a method of applying a biasing force against a piston in a valve as the piston moves along a piston stroke axis in a first direction and an opposing second direction, the piston having a first axial end that is a distal end of the piston, the method including: moving the piston along a piston stroke axis in the first direction and the opposing second direction, wherein while moving the piston along the piston stroke axis: applying a first biasing force in the second direction against the first axial end of the piston from a first spring, and applying a second biasing force in the second direction against the first spring from a second spring.

Dynamic valve seal having retaining features

A dynamic seal assembly is disclosed for use in a valve having an upstream pressure side and a downstream pressure side, the dynamic seal assembly including an annular seal member having a generally C-shaped cross-section and including opposed upstream and downstream legs defining an internal cavity with an opening facing toward the upstream pressure side of the valve, wherein the upstream leg has a radial length that is greater than a radial length of the downstream leg and includes a retaining foot that extends angularly away from the upstream leg in an upstream direction at an angle of between about 0 and 90, and a metallic spring is disposed within the internal cavity of the seal member for providing a constant sealing force to the seal member.

SPLIT MICRO-VALVE
20190219195 · 2019-07-18 ·

The present application discloses a micro-valve comprising: a first valve body and a second valve body, at least one of the first and second valve bodies defining a valve chamber and a valve seat, the first valve body having a liquid outlet and the second valve body having a liquid inlet; a valve plug disposed and movable within the valve chamber; and an elastic member disposed within the valve chamber and positioned closer to the liquid inlet than the valve plug. The elastic member has a liquid-inflow position and a liquid-outflow position, and in the liquid-inflow position, the elastic member enables liquid to flow from the liquid inlet through the elastic member to the liquid outlet, in the liquid-outflow position, the valve plug compresses the elastic member, such that the compressed elastic member seals the valve seat, or the compressed elastic member together with the valve plug seals the valve seat, so as to prevent liquid from flowing back from the liquid outlet to the liquid inlet through the valve seat.

Relief valve with directable outlet

A relief valve including a body defining an inlet. A valve closure element is disposed at least partially within the body and arranged to allow selective flow through the relief valve in response to a predetermined pressure. An outlet housing that is separate from and coupled to the inlet housing is rotatable with respect to the inlet housing. The outlet housing defines an outlet that is in selective communication with the inlet.

Compressor with a suction valve having a spring, a seal, and a cylindrical suction valve body

The present invention discloses a compressor comprising: an outer pipe being connected from an outside to pass through the vessel; an inner pipe being closely inserted into the outer pipe; a compression mechanism including a suction hole formed of a blind hole and a suction valve in the suction hole. The suction valve includes a seal on a side facing an opening of the suction hole to seal an entire end of the inner pipe on a side facing the suction valve when the compressor stops.
