20200147439 · 2020-05-14 ·

A deadlift device includes a cylindrical shaft attached to a base with a selectable weight. Horizontal channels in the shaft have a main horizontal through hole with a downwardly extending keyhole slot extension with beveled edges, so that portions of one or more resistance bands may be routed through the keyhole slots and used with minimal wear. A removable dual handle with right and left hand grip portions may be attached at any of the channels. An alternative removable short horizontal bar may be inserted at at any of the channels to permit kettlebell swing exercises. The device may be used effectively with a range of lift and walking exercises using the deadlift device with added weights and/or one or more resistance bands.

Low friction rehabilitation board with an integral band retaining feature and methods of rehabilitation

A low friction rehabilitation board having an integral band retaining feature is described. The rehabilitation board may have a coefficient of static friction of no more than about 0.5 and in some embodiments no more than about 0.06. The rehabilitation board has a plurality of band retaining feature configured along one or both ends and may be an integral band retaining features being formed in the board. Additionally, the rehabilitation may include one or more band retaining features on one or both sides of the board. The unique configuration of the band retaining features enables rehabilitation method heretofore not possible with a single board. Resistance bands may be retained in the band retaining features and coupled to a user's limb, such as a foot or ankle, to resist motion, such as sliding or extending the foot along the low friction surface of the rehabilitation board.

VIRTUAL REALITY ARCHERY TRAINING SYSTEM
20200116453 · 2020-04-16 ·

An adjustable archery training bow assembly includes a single resistance element and an adjustment mechanism that can be actuated by a user to vary the tension level in the resistance element for training purposes. The training bow also includes a mount for receiving a mobile device, which allows the user to practice various augmented reality-archery training scenarios. The adjustable archery training bow is used to enhance the user's skills, such as his/her strength, stability, and accuracy to help deliver on-target an arrow fired from a real, non-training bow.

Devices and methods for targeted isolation and exercising of the gluteal muscles
10610728 · 2020-04-07 · ·

Devices and methods for targeting and isolating specific regions of the gluteus muscle groups use a resistive band extending over an exerciser's pelvis region while performing gluteus bridge exercises. By adjusting the position of his or her body on the exercise board, an exerciser may precisely target and tone specific regions of the gluteus muscle group. Additional anchor points and cables may be used to perform many additional exercises with the exercise system.

Body Coach
20200101342 · 2020-04-02 ·

The present invention generally concerns an exercise frame. More specifically, a frame, named the Body Coach, includes a base with both wheeled and un-wheeled stabilizers, two pivoting posts, and extending slats having dip handles and pullup bar holders. The frame is small and mimics heights normal to larger caged stations in gyms, which provide a greater natural resistance for calisthenics. Retractable slats, telescopically housed in each post, extend a pullup bar upward at heights up to 7.00. An A/R band rests in a space between the two posts. Both the band's tautness and its vertical placement within the space, relative to the extended height of the pullup bar, are adjustable. Each post pivots downward for easy storage, but, in use, the frame is sturdy, centered, and reconfigures to a user's specific height and range of motion for unmanned assistance or resistance training.

Forearm exercise grip device
10596412 · 2020-03-24 ·

A forearm exercise grip device that implements a frame with a gripping portion, bearings, and a band is used to exercise at least a user's forearm muscles. A connecting portion extends from opposing ends of the gripping portion and includes an arcuate bend that extends to bearings on each side of the connecting portion. An elastic band with a loop wraps around each respective bearing. A user places the gripping portion of the frame in his hand, and then extends his fingers to, depending on size of hand and strength, one or both of a proximal or distal section of the band. The user squeezes the band directionally toward the gripping portion, which thereby exercises the user's forearm and hand muscles.

Shoulder supported apparatus for toning and strengthening the neck, chin and face
11878210 · 2024-01-23 ·

An apparatus for toning and strengthening the muscles of the neck, chin and face that is supported on one or more of the user's shoulders during use of the apparatus. The apparatus has a frame with frame members that define a shoulder supporting section configured to position an elastomeric sheet adjacent the user's head during use of the apparatus. The frame members also define a sheet support section that holds the elastomeric sheet on the frame. A positioning guide associated with the frame helps position the apparatus on the user. An adjusting mechanism allows the user to rotate the elastomeric sheet to increase or decrease its tension to increase or decrease the resistance from the user pressing his or her head against the elastomeric sheet. A locking mechanism prevents unwanted rotation of the elastomeric sheet. Clamps or other mechanisms removably attach the elastomeric sheet to the frame.

WALKING ASSIST DEVICE

A walking assist device includes: a frame; a pair of right and left arm portions; a pair of right and left grasp portions provided on the pair of right and left arm portions; a plurality of wheels including a drive wheel; a drive unit driving the drive wheel; a grasp portion drive unit configured to move the grasp portions; a battery; a control unit controlling the drive unit; and a grasp portion state detection unit detecting a state of each of the grasp portions. The control unit includes: a grasp portion state observation unit observing a grasp portion state that is a state of the grasp portions; a walking state evaluation unit evaluating a walking state of the user based on the grasp portion state observed using the grasp portion state observation unit; and a correction adjustment unit adjusting a control command for at least one of the drive unit and the grasp portion drive unit based on the walking state evaluated using the walking state evaluation unit.

Exercise Apparatus and System for Stationary Users

Exercise equipment, particularly a linear movable structure and associated selectable elastic resistance bands with or without guide track members are designed to allow low-impact exercises for one or two persons at the same time while permitting either or both participants to remain stationary when utilizing the equipment.

Pivoting abdominal exercise machine
10583322 · 2020-03-10 ·

A pivoting abdominal exercise machine is used to exercise and strengthen core muscles. The machine includes a hinged frame, a plurality of back supports, and a base stand. The plurality of back supports is connected along the hinged frame. Together, the hinged frame and the plurality of back supports are used to interact with and brace portions of the user's back as the user performs an exercise. The plurality of back supports may either be cushioned pads or rollers. The base stand is mounted to the hinged frame through an elastic pivot resistor. The elastic pivot resistor allows the user to rock, tilt, or twist about the base stand. A frame-grasping assembly is mounted to the hinged frame. The frame-grasping assembly allows the user to hold onto the device and maintain stability while performing exercises.
