Exercise device having damped oscillating foot platforms
An exercise device including two foot platforms riding on elongated rails for longitudinal motion relative thereto. The platforms are directly connected to each other by one or more elastic elements. The platforms are also connected by linear and/or rotary dampers to provide motion damping. In addition, weights and/or flywheels may be used to smooth the oscillations. When the two platforms are side-by-side, the elastic elements run in a substantially crosswise direction. A seated user may place the user's feet on the platforms and move his/her feet and lower legs back and forth in a scissoring motion to move the platforms in opposing directions along the rails. In so doing, the user overcomes the resistance of the elastic elements and dampers connecting the platforms. This provides the user with exercise and its accompanying benefits.
LOW FRICTION REHABILITATION BOARD WITH AN INTEGRAL BAND RETAINING FEATURE AND METHODS OF REHABILITATION
A low friction rehabilitation board having an integral band retaining feature is described. The rehabilitation board may have a coefficient of static friction of no more than about 0.5 and in some embodiments no more than about 0.06. The rehabilitation board has a plurality of band retaining feature configured along one or both ends and may be an integral band retaining features being formed in the board. Additionally, the rehabilitation may include one or more band retaining features on one or both sides of the board. The unique configuration of the band retaining features enables rehabilitation method heretofore not possible with a single board. Resistance bands may be retained in the band retaining features and coupled to a user's limb, such as a foot or ankle, to resist motion, such as sliding or extending the foot along the low friction surface of the rehabilitation board.
Hand Therapy Kit and Electronic Guide
A hand therapy kit includes a housing having a lid that is expandable from a folded position to an unfolded position to expose a working surface on an inside of the lid. An elastic cord is attached at two or more anchor points on the working surface to define at least one gap for receiving a finger. The finger can be therapeutically exercised by moving from a first position proximal to the working surface to a second position distal to the working surface. The hand therapy kit can also include removable hand therapy modules, including a therapeutic tracking glove and/or a pressure sensor ball.
Exercise device having damped oscillating foot platforms
An exercise device including two foot platforms riding on elongated rails for longitudinal motion relative thereto. The platforms are directly connected to each other by one or more elastic elements. One or more dampers are installed substantially parallel with the elastic elements to oppose the energy return of the elastic elements. When the two platforms are side-by-side, the elastic elements and dampers run in a substantially crosswise direction. A seated user may place feet on the platforms and move his/her feet and lower legs back and forth in a scissoring motion to move the platforms in opposition directions along the rails. In so doing, the user overcomes the resistance of the elastic elements and dampers connecting the platforms. This provides the user with exercise and its accompanying benefits.

Versa-Band
A fitness band has a non-extensible strap and an elastic band that are movable coupled along their lengths. Handles at each end can be selectably attached to the strap or to the elastic band, allowing multiple modes of exercise to be accomplished using this single device.
Elastic exercise device
A fitness device may include a central handle having a body with a central aperture through the body. The device may also include a first rod removably coupled to the central handle at a first location and a second rod removably coupled to the central handle at a second location, opposite the first location. The device may also include an elastic member having a first end and a second end, the first end being coupled to the first rod and the second end being coupled to the second rod.
Stretching device and methods relating to same
A stretching device comprising an elongated band having a first end and a second end, a first handle coupled to the band proximate the first end, a second handle coupled to the band proximate the second end, and a boot coupled to the band between the first end and the second end, the boot adapted to engage with a body part of a person, horse, or other animal.
Exercise Wedge and Method of Use
A portable exercise device designed to efficiently and safely exercise the gluteal, hamstring and calf muscles. The exercise device is an inclined platform with an elongated resistance band attached to both sides, providing resistance from the sides platform. An additional raised support is provided on the inclined platform, as well as resistance originating from within the platform, which optimizes the concentric and eccentric phase of every squat and lunge for maximal strength and hypertrophy of the muscles. The combination of the inclined platform with resistance from the sides and from the platform itself allows the user to conduct a variety of exercises for strengthening the muscles of the lower body.
