Resistance Bands Apparatus
The present disclosure provides a resistance band apparatus which overcomes the problems traditionally associated with resistance training—time consuming resistance changes during the same exercise, time consuming adjustments between different exercises, and non-uniform resistance through the exercise motion depending on the height and limb length of the person—by incorporating multiple bands of different resistances into a single apparatus that can be engaged or disengaged from contributing towards the total resistance provided during an exercise, and which can be attached and detached at different points along the length of the apparatus to variations of fixed anchors to provide uniform tension and length for exercise motion. Both the resistances of the different bands and the points along the length of the apparatus at which they are attached are clearly indicated to facilitate easier recording of progress, as well as apparatus setup per exercise for the user.
Connecting straps for sports activities
Connecting straps, for use for example in sports activities, include (a) a sleeve of webbing having a first end and a second end and having a loop at each end, each loop having a base and a free end, (b) disposed within the sleeve of webbing, a band of elastic material extending in a continuous loop, and (c) an attachment strap, adjacent each loop, configured to secure a portion of the band to the webbing at the base of each loop. In some cases, the band has a solid, polygonal cross-sectional shape.
Fitness Grip
A Fitness Grip that is designed to mimic the feel of a weight lifting bar is provided for use with exercise stretch bands. The Fitness Grip has a cylindrical grip element with flanged ends and a slot for receiving the exercise stretch band. The Fitness Grip is formed as a one piece monolithic grip element or as a rigid inner core with a pliant outer molded covering. The one piece grip element or outer molded covering may be molded from 90 durometer hardness urethane rubber. The slot may have tooth-like gripping features or retaining features adjoining the flanged ends. The slot may penetrate the cylindrical grip element to within ¼ inch of the surface of the cylindrical grip element opposite the slotted opening. The ends of the slot adjoining the outer faces of the flanged ends may be provided with fillet radii.
Sand pit training bag
A sand training bag for sand and/or mineral training in an open and closed configuration. The sand pit training bags includes a sand pit training bag configuration comprising at least one fastener and at least one overlaying fabric around the perimeter to open flat on a surface. The sand training bag includes attachable wall structure, wherein the surface attachable wall structure is configured with a sand pit training bag in an open configuration visible relative to a sand or mineral pit held by one or more fasteners. The sand training bag includes a single sand pit training bag, wherein the single sand pit training bag is convertible to a single sand pit with at least one attachable perimeter wall around the perimeter of the open sand or mineral receiving surface configuration, wherein a top cover is configured to be viewed as a sand or mineral pit closed configuration.
EXERCISE BANDS AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURING SAME
In some examples, an exercise band comprising includes a main stretchable tubing defining a first lumen, a main safety cord disposed within the first lumen of the stretchable tubing, a Y-shaped cord coupled to the main safety cord at one end within the first lumen of the main stretchable tubing, at least one lasso tubing defining a second lumen, and at least one lasso safety cord disposed within the at least one lasso tubing, the at least one lasso safety cord being coupled to two ends of the Y-shaped cord within the second lumen.
LOW FRICTION REHABILITATION BOARD WITH AN INTEGRAL BAND RETAINING FEATURE AND METHODS OF REHABILITATION
A low friction rehabilitation board having an integral band retaining feature is described. The rehabilitation board may have a coefficient of static friction of no more than about 0.5 and in some embodiments no more than about 0.06. The rehabilitation board has a plurality of band retaining feature configured along one or both ends and may be an integral band retaining features being formed in the board. Additionally, the rehabilitation may include one or more band retaining features on one or both sides of the board. The unique configuration of the band retaining features enables rehabilitation method heretofore not possible with a single board. Resistance bands may be retained in the band retaining features and coupled to a user's limb, such as a foot or ankle, to resist motion, such as sliding or extending the foot along the low friction surface of the rehabilitation board.
Arm Exercise Apparatus
An arm exercise apparatus is disclosed which includes a substantially rigid framework having a stand supporting a first, a second and a third frame member, a rod flexibly coupled to the first frame member at a vicinity of a first end of the rod, the rod having a second end opposite to the first end for being held by a user's hand during an exercise, a first elastic band coupling the rod at a predetermined location to the second frame member, the predetermined location being between the first end and the second end and having a predetermined distance to the first end, the first elastic band exerting a first force at the rod, and a second elastic band coupling the rod to the third frame member, the second elastic band exerting a second force at the rod countering the first force, wherein the rod is statically suspended in a space between the second and the third frame member.
FITNESS DEVICE
The fitness device comprising dual retaining members in engagement with a tension member.
PHYSICAL THERAPY AND FITNESS DEVICE: RESISTANCE BANDS WITH PEDALS
A physical therapy device with a pair of handles and one or more balance pedals. The balance pedal(s) are slidable along one or more bands attached, directly or indirectly, to the handles.
COMBINED FRICTION RESISTANCE AND ELASTIC RESISTANCE EXERCISE DEVICE
A frictional exercise device includes a shell body to be attached to a stationary object, for instance a door, a doorjamb or a floor, either directly or via a resistance band. A core cylinder in the shell body has an arcuate friction surface. A non-elastic strap winds partially around the core cylinder and hugs the friction surface. When said strap is pulled at one end, a frictional force between the friction surface and the strap opposes a movement of the strap across said friction surface. The magnitude of the frictional force is proportional to a resistive force applied at the opposite end. The arcuate friction surface is formed with a depression and adjoining elevations. A counterbrake projects towards the depression in the friction surface and deflects the strap towards the depression to define an undulating course of the strap along the friction surface and the counterbrake.
