Elastic resistant training apparatus and methods
An exercise apparatus and method for applying one or more lateral resistive loads to drive, swing and other phases to participants while performing complex motions at low or high speeds to condition one's body to better and more quickly perform physical movements at high speeds. Elastic members may be used to generate resistance emanating from a ground-based or vertically-positioned apparatus. The elastic members may connect to one or more body parts simultaneously. The apparatus may be mechanically designed to fully retract the elastic members into the apparatus to maintain resistance while participants are in close proximity to the apparatus. The apparatus provides a plurality of self-contained elastic members and provides participants the ability to alter the vertical and horizontal positions of each elastic member's emanation point from the apparatus. This provides ability to control applied resistance vectors between the attachment point on the participant and the apparatus.
Portable door mounted exercise apparatus
A portable door mounted exercise apparatus includes a removable strap mount assembly for attachment to a door, and a cable/pulley assembly that includes handles for pulling the cable to stretch a resistance band that is affixed to the strap mount assembly. The lower portion of the resistance band is secured to the bottom of the strap at an anchor point via a carabiner or clip, so that when a user pulls on the handles, either downwardly or outwardly, for instance, the resistance band is stretched, thereby providing resistance for purposes of exercise. When not in use, the portable door mounted exercise apparatus may be removed from the door, disassembled, and the straps can be folded or rolled up for purposes of storage and/or transport.
Resistance Band Exercise Scale Platform
A multi functional exercise apparatus used for resistance training. An electric digital scale platform will be applied for the user to exercise with resistance bands and determine the resistance in units of pounds or kilograms.
Chair-based workout apparatus and methods
A workout system is provided that includes a piece of furniture having at least a backrest and a seat. A chair workout machine is provided coupled to the piece of furniture. The chair workout machine includes a support frame coupled to at least one structure of the piece of furniture. At least one rotatable arm is rotatably attached to the support frame. One or more resistance elements are coupled to the at least one rotatable arm, where the resistance elements arranged to provide resistance to movement by at least one body part of a user.
Wobbly ball
The present invention relates to wobbly balls and exercise coil springs. A wobbly ball may include a non-spherical rigid, hollow ball body formed of two halves, each half comprising an upper ladle or a lower ladle which are welded together along a central seam therebetween, and defining a hollow cavity therein. A spherical inner ball is captured within the hollow cavity of the hollow ball body of the wobbly ball, so that upon movement of the wobbly ball, the inner ball rolls within the cavity, producing a wobbly, eccentric motion. The exercise coil spring may be formed of a single coiled wire, the coiled spring including a central portion where the coiled wire is coiled to a first diameter that is constant. Opposed flared ends are provided ends of the central portion where the coiled wire is progressively coiled from the first diameter to a second diameter, which is greater.
PLYOMETRIC FITNESS PLATFORM WITH CONSTRAINED ADJUSTABILITY
Disclosed are systems and methods for plyometric fitness systems that facilitate constrained multi-directional movements. By utilizing a variety of constrained elastic resistance cords in conjunction with plyometric platform stations and performance patterns, this system enhances dimension, capability and variety to conventional agility and jumping drills. The disclosed plyometric platforms are designed for contrast training, or resistance loaded and unloaded exercises. This allows the muscles to adapt to the loaded exercises and then apply the “learned” movement to the unloaded exercise. This directly reinforces the movement and muscle exertion needed to perform powerful movements thereby enhancing athletic performance.
Running Form Training Device
A running form training device for training a runner to properly position and move their arms includes a harness, a pair of bands, and a pair of cuffs. The harness can be donned by a user so that the harness is removably engaged to a torso of the user. The bands are resiliently stretchable. Each band is engaged to the harness so that the band extends from proximate to a front of a respective shoulder of the user. Each cuff is engaged to a first end of a respective band and is removably engageable to a respective wrist of the user. The bands draw the arms of the user toward the harness, thereby restricting movement and positioning of the arms to promote proper running form.
FULL BODY EXERCISE APPARATUS
A portable exercise apparatus utilized for exercising, stretching, and training multiple muscle groups of the body of a user. The apparatus is adapted to be worn about the waist or carried as a bandolier about the user's body. The apparatus has at least one releasably closable pocket and fixation rings for securing and carrying accessories, such as attachable handles, suspension lines, and elastic bands. The apparatus and methods of use provide the user with a plurality of configurations for assisted exercise regimens and the flexibility to exercise anywhere.
Method and apparatus for improving cervical curvature and for maintaining proper curvature in persons predisposed to develop improper curvature
A core muscle exercising and resistance training device includes a weighted bar having opposed bar ends adapted to removably mount at least one weight or other force generating element. A pad element is removably and frictionally mounted on the bar, the pad element being constructed from a lightweight foam material having a density within a specific range. The pad has an outer surface with a radius of curvature substantially the same as a normal cervical curvature. In use, the outer pad surface is placed adjacent a user's cervical curve and the weighted bar, the additional isometric resistance generating elements and the pad element act in combination to apply a force upon the user's core cervical curve muscles for improving the user's cervical curve posture by gradually modifying the cervical curvature to conform with clinically desirable curvature.
Arm chair exercise apparatus
A chair arm exercise apparatus includes three distinct back positions with hand resistance members such as springs supported from a pair of supports spaced from the upper end of the back. The arm chair includes a base configured to rest on a horizontal floor surface, a seat, a pair of spaced apart trapezoidal shaped upright frame sides, a front upright end wall beneath and supporting a front end of the seat, a seat back pivotally supported from the frame sides behind the seat, and a seat cross member beneath the rear edge of the seat fastened to the frame sides. In a first position the back is at about 90 degrees to the seat. In a second position the back is about 80 degrees to the seat. In the third position the back is reclined.
