The left strap and the right strap respectively have a first connecting part and a second connecting part which could be connected or detached with each other. When the two connecting parts are connected with each other, the left strap and the right strap form a retaining portion for resisting forward movement of a user. When the two connecting parts are detached, the left strap and the right strap could be positioned on a left side and a right side of the exercising space.

Resistance band assembly and a method of varying a resistive force applied thereby

A method of varying a resistive force applied by exercise equipment including providing a resistance band assembly for providing resistive force during the performance of an exercise. The resistance band assembly includes a housing having a first end, a second end, and a longitudinal axis extending therebetween. A bore is defined in the housing and a connector is provided in the bore. The connector includes first and second surfaces and a hole is defined in the connector and extends between the surfaces. A disc is also provided in the bore and also has a first and second surface. An aperture is defined in the disc and extends between the first and second surfaces thereof. A first and second resilient member is provided and these resilient members are selectively engageable with the resistance band assembly to provide a first resistive force during the performance of an exercise.

Quick slide handle assembly for cable exercise equipment

An exercise cable handle assembly is disclosed comprising a locking mechanism including a handle base and a flexible retaining clip. The handle base comprises a cable opening and two side clamps defining a locking channel. The two side clamps comprise gradated edges. The flexible retaining clip is U shaped and comprises at least one curved hook end configured to engage with the gradated edge when the flexible retaining clip is positioned in the locking channel. The exercise cable handle assembly further comprises a segment of an exercise cable comprising a tapered plug along the segment of cable and a handle frame coupled to the handle base. The locking mechanism secures the segment of the exercise cable to the handle base when a portion of the tapered plug is positioned in the cable opening and the flexible retaining clip partially surrounds the tapered plug when positioned in the locking channel.

A layered strap-like apparatus for exercising, stretching and training multiple muscle groups of the entire body of a user. The apparatus is adapted to be worn about the waist or carried as a bandolier about the user's body. The apparatus has an optional, releasably closable pocket between the layers for securing and carrying accessories, such as attachable handles and elastic bands. The apparatus and methods of use provide the user with balanced loading options and the flexibility to exercise anywhere.

Resistance-generating device, exercise apparatus, and method

A resistance-generating device includes a resilient body extending between opposed ends. The resilient body has a first portion extending between first and second mounting members of the device, and a second portion extending between the first and second mounting members. The first portion is spaced apart from the second portion, and the first and second mounting members are made of an inelastic material. At least one of the first and second mounting members is removably mountable to a corresponding one of the first and second mounting members of another resistance-generating device. The resilient body generates resistance upon the first and second portions being elastically deformed by displacement of the second mounting member mounted to a second structure relative to the first mounting member mounted to a first structure.

Low profile passive exercise garment

Disclosed is a muscle specific exercise device. The device may provide passive or active resistance training throughout an angular range of motion. The device may be low profile, and worn by a wearer, such as beneath conventional clothing. Exercise of selective joints or motion of the body may thereby be accomplished throughout the wearer's normal daily activities, without the need for access to conventional exercise equipment. Alternatively, the device may be worn as a supplemental training tool during conventional training techniques.
