LOW FRICTION REHABILITATION BOARD WITH AN INTEGRAL BAND RETAINING FEATURE AND METHODS OF REHABILITATION
20180318637 · 2018-11-08 ·

A low friction rehabilitation board having an integral band retaining feature is described. The rehabilitation board may have a coefficient of static friction of no more than about 0.5 and in some embodiments no more than about 0.06. The rehabilitation board has a plurality of band retaining feature configured along one or both ends and may be an integral band retaining features being formed in the board. Additionally, the rehabilitation may include one or more band retaining features on one or both sides of the board. The unique configuration of the band retaining features enables rehabilitation method heretofore not possible with a single board. Resistance bands may be retained in the band retaining features and coupled to a user's limb, such as a foot or ankle, to resist motion, such as sliding or extending the foot along the low friction surface of the rehabilitation board.

VELOCITY LOAD HARNESS

A velocity load belt that includes a waist belt to be worn around a user's waist, a stirrup to be worn on the user's foot, and first and second elastic filaments attachable to the waist belt and the stirrup, and when so attached, the first elastic filament extends from a middle of the back of the user's waist to the inside of the user's ankle of the foot to which the stirrup is coupled, and the second elastic filament extends across the front of the user's leg and to the outside of the ankle of the foot to which the stirrup is releasably coupled.

Flexible ankle-based inversion device
10105275 · 2018-10-23 ·

A device for performing ankle-based inversion postures. A primary loop in combination with retainer loops forms an ankle enclosure which contracts in response to the application of load tension. An expansion of the ankle enclosure occurs when an upward force is applied to it with a simultaneous application of downward force on the release loop. A linkage between the lowest points on the primary and release loops transfers applied tension between these components to ensure a smooth expansion action of the ankle enclosure. A connector loop forms a topmost location on the device and is the junction point for the mounting loop which anchors the device to support structures for its use.

SWIM TRAINING APPARATUS FOR BILATERAL UNDULATION POWER DEVELOPMENT

A swim training apparatus for use as a monofin for bilateral undulation power development. The apparatus includes a flexible, elongated member having a series of securing members, such as through-holes extending from the top surface of the elongated member through to its bottom surface, and fasteners configured and disposed to attach to the securing member, such as straps that can extend through the through-holes, to fasten the apparatus to a user's legs. A weight can be attached using similar attachments and fasteners to the apparatus to increase undulation during use.

METHODS OF RESISTANCE TRAINING TO ARM AND LEG MOVEMENTS WHILE RUNNING
20180272174 · 2018-09-27 ·

A method for resistance training to arm and leg movement can include connecting a horizontally oriented raised weight base secured to a moveable sled in a spaced apart relationship, mounting a agility box, threading a first flexible and extendable one piece stretch cord through a plurality of aligned first upper rollers, securing a static non-extending stretch cord between the moveable sled and a subject, pulling on the first flexible and extendable one piece stretch cord connected to the moveable sled by the subject to receive a first load of resistance causing a physiological change to a targeted part of the subject and simultaneously receiving a second load of resistance to a targeted part of the subject while pulling the moveable sled with the static non-extendable stretch cord.

PLIABLE OBJECT WRAPPING DEVICE FOR ACTIVATING AND EXERCISING MUSCLES AND METHOD OF ACTIVITAING AND EXERCISING
20180256935 · 2018-09-13 ·

This invention relates generally to a muscle activating and exercising device and a method of activating and exercising muscles of the human body. More particularly, it relates to an elongated device that is pliable enough to be wrapped around an object. Such device also has an outer surface that creates a frictional fit between the device and the wrapped object. The wrapped object could be, for example, a wrist or ankle on a human limb or a location on a portion of sports equipment (e.g., a lacrosse stick, baseball bat, hockey stick, golf club or tennis rack). The present invention also relates to a method of activating muscles using a pliable device. Through such a method, a user can, for example. build muscle strength and/or reduce muscle tremors.

PORTABLE RESISTANCE WORKOUT APPARATUSES AND SYSTEMS
20180236295 · 2018-08-23 ·

The present disclosure contemplates portable strength-training apparatus, system, and method for conducting strength-training exercises using resistance bands. The apparatus of the present disclosure can serve as an anchor while conducting strength training exercises using resistance bands. The apparatus and system of the present disclosure can allow for safe strength-training exercises at varying resistance levels while allowing exercises at any angle. The apparatus, system, and method of the present disclosure may allow a user to strength train with resistance bands throughout entire body. The apparatus and system of the present disclosure may include a base platform with base attachment mechanisms that can be coupled with resistance bands which are in turn coupled with human interface mechanisms such as grips, wraps, or bars.

Walking training system

A walking training system includes a detection unit that detects whether a leg portion of a walking trainee on which a walking assistance apparatus has been mounted has performed a walking operation or a stepping operation on a belt of a treadmill on which the walking trainee performs walking training, and a controller maintains an operation prohibition state in which a rotational operation of the belt is not started until the time that the detection unit detects the walking operation or the stepping operation a predetermined number of times and cancels the operation prohibition state after the detection unit detects the walking operation or the stepping operation the predetermined number of times.

SPORTS STRAP
20180200572 · 2018-07-19 ·

A sports strap that helps the wearer improve their posture. The device aligns the pelvis horizontally and vertically and strengthens and/or relaxes muscles of the abdomen, the lower back and the lower extremities. The strap may be worn in more than 20 different variations. Depending on the variation different parts of the body will be effected in different ways. There is a choice of activation or relaxation. Wearing the strap in active motion (including inflexible pelvis strap) makes walking harder by trying to mimic a stair stepping motion, which activates muscles of the lower extremities. It increases the energy expenditure required for walking and helps burn additional calories. Wearing the strap in relaxed motion (only elastic strap, without inflexible pelvis strap) makes the whole body let go of strain, especially the lower part of the body.
