MOBILE TRAINING DEVICE
The present invention relates to an exercising device (1) comprising a lever or power arm (10) which is able to be arranged by a first end (12) on a retaining element (16) at a first articulated joint (13) in a way pivotable about a pivot axis or pin (14), whereby a resistance element (18) is able to be coupled by a first end region (20) at a first coupling point (22) on the power arm (10), and by a second end region (24) at a second coupling point (26) at a second articulated joint (25) on the retaining element (16). The exercising device (1) is able to be detachably arranged on a structure (40) by means of an engaging connection, which is formed by a hook-shaped recess (50) and a rod-shaped element (46) and whereby the exercising device (1) is lockable in an engaged position by means of a fixation.
ABDOMINAL EXERCISE DEVICE
An abdominal exercise device includes a frame comprising top, middle, and bottom frame sections. The middle frame section has a curved shape for creating a teeter-totter movement during exercise. The device includes a headrest connected to the bottom frame section, a plurality of connectors for connecting elastic bands to the frame, and an elastic band connected to at least two connectors. The two ends of the elastic band are connected to two straps. The device creates the teeter-totter movement to exercise the abdominal muscles in response to a person lying down in supine position with the back of the head on the headrest and the feet in the two straps, the person applying a downward pressure with the feet to the straps to move the headrest from a resting position, and the person removing the downward pressure to allow the headrest to go back to the resting position.
EXTENSOR APPARATUS PROVIDING DYNAMIC ENGAGEMENT FOR TREATMENT OF HAND SPASTICITY AND RELATED DEVICES AND COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCTS
An apparatus for treating spasticity can include a splint configured to receive a patient wrist and hand including a wrist portion of the splint including a moveable closure configured to secure a wrist of the patient to the splint. A hand portion of the splint can be rigidly coupled to the wrist portion, wherein the hand portion can include a hand portion that is shaped to receive a palm of the patient's hand and an inflatable bladder can be coupled to the hand portion, wherein the inflatable bladder can be configured to expand against fingers of the patient's hand during inflation.
RESISTANCE TRAINING GLOVE
A resistance training glove device having a glove casing for attachment to an individual's hand. The glove casing includes a first member and a second member. The first and second members are attachably connected to one another to collectively form the glove casing. The first member has a body element which includes an enclosed tank for receiving and storing fluid. The second member includes a handle bar element, a cuff element and a reception cavity. The reception cavity receives the individual's hand when the glove casing is attached to the individual's hand. The stored fluid in the glove casing provides a weighted resistance to the individual during movement of the attached glove casing.
Swimming Stroke Alignment Tool
A training aid to correct arm position during the pulling phase of butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, or crawl also referred to as freestyle, when swimming. The disclosed tool provides physical pressure to correct a common swimming error. Said tool prevents medial rotation of the glenohumeral joint of the shoulder rotator cuff during the catch and pull portion of swimming.
Compression Device
A wearable massage and/or compression device for applying controllable scrolling or intermittent sequential forces, such as compression forces, to the body and limbs of a user comprises an elongated fabric body sized to encircle a limb of a user, one or more shape-memory wires carried by the fabric body and configured to apply a compression pressure to the limb through the fabric body upon changing shape in response to a stimulus, and a micro-processor based controller for selectively actuating the one or more shape-changing elements to reduce the effective diameter of the device encircling the limb, to thereby apply pressure to the limb.
ERGONOMIC HANDHELD WEIGHT UNIT AND METHOD OF USE
Systems and methods for a small light weight unit that can be securely held and centered in the palm of the holder during physical activities, such as exercises, including aerobic exercises. The weight unit also includes features for securing the weight in the palm during the exercise to achieve a specific desired weight and intensity of workout.
PROTECTIVE AND EXERCISE HAND RESTRAINT SYSTEM AND APPARATUS
Embodiments disclosed herein offer protective restraint of the hand by securing it with a wrist tie to a padded transparent hard-shell hand restraint with wrist tie slots, multiple ventilation holes, a detachable flexible soft under wrap and a hinging ball-bearing style attachment point for optional attachment to a restraint arm rod and staff-directed upward displacement for enhanced access to the hand, and slots for a resistance band tie for enhanced exercise and intermediate level of restraint and a rigid tie.
WEIGHTLESS TRACTION SYSTEM
A system for translating a constant traction load to an object such as a medical device or a patient includes a plurality of independently rotatable, coaxially aligned spools, each housing a constant force spring fixed at respective ends to the spool and to a rigid member, a plurality of flexible biasing members each coupled on their respective first ends to a spool and at least partially wound around the spool. A plurality of connectors are connected to the respective other ends of the biasing members, which may comprise wire rope. The connectors are configured to quickly couple to and decouple, directly or indirectly, from the object to which the traction load is being delivered. A guide provides a partial path for one or more of the biasing members to the object. A selected load may be applied by coupling one or more of the reversible couplers tensioned by the constant force springs to the object, without use of gravitational loading.
Method and apparatus for an activity environment generator
A method and apparatus for Activity Environment Generator (“AEG”) is provided. The AEG allows a user in a variety of settings such as: domestic settings, office chairs, TV chairs, train seats, airplane seats, domestic or hospital beds. The AEG is particularly useful in the fields of rehabilitation, physiotherapy, injury prevention, falls prevention, training and wellness in general and may also provide recreational and/or entertainment elements. The AEG provides dynamically controllable forces with which the user interacts in the course of his/her activity. In one aspect of the invention, the forces provided by the AEG are generated by a magnetic field. In another aspect of the invention, the forces provided by The AEG are generated by a pneumatic actuator. The AEG is optionally scalable and/or modular and, in specific embodiments, may include one or more of the following: a Remote Trainer, an AEG-Accessory, an AEG-Wearable, optimization by Big Data and machine-learning.
