SYSTEM, DEVICE AND METHOD TO AID GAIT AND BALANCE IN ATAXIC USERS
A system and method for aiding wearers with ataxia. The system and method embodying removably positioning vibratory devices adjacent to just above each hip bone of the wearer and adjacent to each ankle of the wearer. The vibratory devices can be selectively and programmatically controlled to provide haptic signals for improving proprioception and thereby improving the gait and balance of the wearer.
Muscle stimulation device
A vibration apparatus and an associated motor assembly attached to a glove or wrap for a body part to stimulate muscle activity in the area of application. The apparatus is capable of generating vibrations of various amplitudes at the same frequency or within a defined frequency range. The device causes vibration in a limb to which it is attached, such that muscle that are not normally utilized in a single range of motion activity are activated. The mechanism creating the vibration may an eccentric rotating mass vibration motor assembly attached to a glove or wrist support. Use of the device with fitness equipment provides an individual with the benefits associated with vibrational motion such as increased muscle use with a single exercise motion and increased muscle memory during use with sports activities.
PORTABLE RESISTANCE WORKOUT APPARATUSES AND SYSTEMS
The present disclosure contemplates portable strength-training apparatus, system, and method for conducting strength-training exercises using resistance bands. The apparatus of the present disclosure can serve as an anchor while conducting strength training exercises using resistance bands. The apparatus and system of the present disclosure can allow for safe strength-training exercises at varying resistance levels while allowing exercises at any angle. The apparatus, system, and method of the present disclosure may allow a user to strength train with resistance bands throughout entire body. The apparatus and system of the present disclosure may include a base platform with base attachment mechanisms that can be coupled with resistance bands which are in turn coupled with human interface mechanisms such as grips, wraps, or bars.
Musculature Promoting Gloves
Disclosed are a pair of gloves having weights rigidly attached to outer surfaces of fingers and palm. The fingers may be partially cut off or have removable tips. At least several of the fingertips having crush resistant caps embedded within the outer layer of the fabric. A user may utilize touchscreen technology without remove the gloves as the outer layer of the gloves and liner are embedded with current conductive threading.
Exercise system
An exercise system includes a handle having a shaft, a head, a spindle, and a loop. The shaft extends from a first end to a second end. The head has a top, a bottom, a front, and a rear, the top opposite the bottom, the front opposite the rear, the bottom of the head affixed to the second end of the shaft. The spindle has a ring and is positioned at the front of the head with the spindle rotatably supported upon the head. The loop is affixed to the top of the head. The exercise system includes one or more elastic exercise cords configured to selectively connect to the loop or the ring. The exercise system may include one or more kettleballs configured to selectively connect to the one or more elastic exercise cords. The kettleballs and/or elastic exercise cords may be moved in a circular motion.
Resistance Training System
A physical training system includes a belt having a belt attachment member and a first band attachment loop for an elastomeric belt. The belt attachment member is moveably positioned on the belt and at least partially encircles the belt. The belt attachment member comprises a first portion and a second portion, the first portion extending completely across a width of the belt on the outer side of the belt, and the second portion extending at least partially across the width of the belt on the inner side of the belt. The first band attachment loop is moveably connected to the belt attachment member. The elastomeric band extends through the first band attachment loop. A foot coupling includes at least one flexible strap and a second band attachment loop. The elastomeric band extends between the foot coupling and the belt attachment member.
Tremor stabilisation apparatus and methods
The present invention relates to improvements in or relating to tremor stabilisation apparatus and methods, in particular to gyroscopic devices for use in controlling tremors of parts of the body and for reducing effects of tremors on the human body. The apparatus includes a wearable element and at least one gyroscopic device mounted or mountable to the wearable element, the gyroscopic device including a gyroscope and a gyroscope housing. The at least one gyroscopic device may be mounted within the housing such that the gyroscope may precess with respect to the housing. The mount may include a hinge to which the gyroscope is mounted and a hinge plate or hinge mount to which the hinge is mounted for rotation with respect to the gyroscope housing, such as a turntable mounted to the gyroscope housing. The gyroscopic devices may include a control arrangement to control the precession of the gyroscope.
Low friction rehabilitation board with an integral band retaining feature and methods of rehabilitation
A low friction rehabilitation board having an integral band retaining feature is described. The rehabilitation board may have a coefficient of static friction of no more than about 0.5 and in some embodiments no more than about 0.06. The rehabilitation board has a plurality of band retaining feature configured along one or both ends and may be an integral band retaining features being formed in the board. Additionally, the rehabilitation may include one or more band retaining features on one or both sides of the board. The unique configuration of the band retaining features enables rehabilitation method heretofore not possible with a single board. Resistance bands may be retained in the band retaining features and coupled to a user's limb, such as a foot or ankle, to resist motion, such as sliding or extending the foot along the low friction surface of the rehabilitation board.
ARCHERY TRAINING DEVICE
Embodiments herein describe an archery training device for improving shooting accuracy. The device has a rigid body graspable by one hand, an elastic section for providing resistance, and a string coupled to the elastic section with a loop on the opposite end for receiving an archery release. The device further includes a sight pin on the rigid body for sighting while pulling on the string via an opposite distal hand to the hand grasping the rigid body. The device further includes an adjustable string length and adjustable resistance to match a particular configuration of a bow for a particular sporting enthusiast or hunter.
RESISTANCE TRAINING DEVICE
A resistance training device is disclosed, comprising at least one resistance element extending between a tensioning element and at least one arm component. The tensioning element is positioned on the dorsal side of the user and a pivot is provided near the elbow joint of the user to permit articulation of the arm component. A plurality of attachments comprise a first side and a second side to anchor the resistance element to the arm component to impart resistance to the user during movement.
