Autoinjector
A detent mechanism for controlling translation between two components in a longitudinal direction includes a resilient beam on one of the components and a rhomboid ramp member on the other component. The resilient beam is essentially straight when relaxed and has a first beam head and is arranged to interact in a ramped engagement with respectively one of two ramps. Each ramp is on one longitudinal side of the rhomboid ramp member such that application of a translative force between the components in one longitudinal direction with the first beam head engaged to one of the ramps in a first state deflects the resilient beam in one transversal direction and such that application of a translative force between the components in the other longitudinal direction with the first beam head engaged to the other one of the ramps deflects the resilient beam in the other transversal direction.

Auto-injector
An auto-injector includes a chassis and a carrier subassembly. The carrier subassembly includes a carrier arranged inside a case, a drive spring, a plunger comprising a ramp member, the plunger configured to be pushed in a proximal direction by the drive spring, and a ramp attached to the carrier, wherein the ramp member on the plunger in an initial state is locked to the ramp on the carrier to form a ramped engagement to the carrier, the plunger prevented from rotating out of the ramped engagement depending on a relative longitudinal position of the carrier relative to the chassis, wherein the plunger is arranged to be released and to rotate out of the ramped engagement upon the carrier translating a pre-defined distance in a proximal direction relative to the chassis.
TENSION ROD MECHANISM
A tension rod has an outer shaft slidably receiving an inner shaft. A tension mechanism includes a partially threaded rod with a threaded portion. A first end extends from the threaded portion and is adapted for fixing to an inner surface of the inner shaft; a second end has a tapered body with a greater transverse dimension closer to the second end. A wedge has a slot and an inner surface in facing sliding engagement with the tapered body between a nut threadedly engaged with the threaded portion and the second end. The nut is rotationally fixed to the outer shaft. Upon relative rotation of the inner and outer shafts, the nut moves along the threaded portion toward the second end, the wedge abutting and moving with the nut. The wedge contacts the tapered body, expands radially, and contacts the inner surface of the outer shaft, locking the shafts together.
Auto-injector
An auto-injector for administering a dose of a liquid medicament has a tubular chassis telescopable in a tubular case, a carrier subassembly comprising a tubular carrier slidably arranged relative to the chassis inside the case, where the carrier adapted to contain a syringe with a hollow injection needle. The injector has a drive spring and a plunger for forwarding load of the drive spring to a stopper of the syringe, wherein the syringe is lockable for joint axial translation with the carrier. There is also a trigger button arranged distally or laterally in or on the case, a control spring arranged around the carrier, and a needle extension control mechanism for coupling a proximal end of the control spring to either the carrier for advancing it for needle extension or to the chassis for needle retraction depending on the relative axial position of the carrier and the chassis.
Injection device
An Injection device for administering a dose of liquid medicament to patient comprisesa syringe containing the dose of medicamenta hollow injection needle adapted to penetrate skin of the patient,a stopper translatably disposed within syringe,a plunger connectable to stopper and translatable in at least a proximal direction to displace stopper in the proximal direction anda releasable noise component capable of, upon release, generating an audible and/or tactile feedback. The proximal displacement of stopper causes the dose of the medicament to be expelled through the hollow injection needle. The noise component is released when the plunger reaches a position relative to the syringe in which stopper is located in proximity of a proximal end of the syringe. The released noise component impacts on at least one component of the injection device to generate the audible and/or tactile feedback indicating the end of the injection.
Auto-Injector
An auto-injector for administering a dose of a liquid medicament (M) is presented having an elongate case, a carrier subassembly comprising a tubular carrier slidably arranged inside the case, where the carrier adapted to contain a syringe with a hollow injection needle. The injector also has, a drive spring and a plunger for forwarding load of the drive spring to a stopper of the syringe, wherein the syringe is lockable for joint axial translation with the carrier. A control spring is arranged around the carrier for translating the carrier in a proximal direction (P) for advancing the needle beyond a proximal end of the auto-injector, and a trigger button is used for releasing the control spring on actuation.
Auto-injector
An auto-injector for administering a dose of a liquid medicament includes a case and a carrier subassembly with a carrier slidably arranged inside the case. The carrier can contain a syringe with a hollow injection needle, a drive spring and a plunger for forwarding drive spring load to a syringe stopper. The syringe can jointly, axially translate with the carrier. The drive spring acts between the carrier and the plunger. In an initial state, the plunger is locked to the carrier by a ramped engagement to the carrier and is prevented from rotating out of this engagement depending on a longitudinal position of the carrier in the case. The plunger can be released for rotating out of the ramped engagement when the needle reaches nearly a predefined injection depth on translation of the carrier in the proximal direction for advancing the needle beyond a proximal end of the auto-injector.
Locking adjustable length rod assembly
An adjustable rod assembly includes an elongate first tubular member having a first end and a second end. A cam body is secured to the first end of the first tubular member and has an oblong shaft portion. A collar is disposed about the cam body with an inner surface shaped to coincide with the oblong shaft portion. An elastomeric sleeve is disposed about the collar. An elongate second tubular member has a first end sized to receive the first end of the first tubular member within an internal cavity and engages the elastomeric sleeve. Rotation of the collar to a locked position causes a force from the elastomeric sleeve against an internal surface of the second tubular member to resist axial translation. At least one of the first tubular member second end and a second tubular member second end is adapted to engage a household surface.
Auto-injector
An auto-injector for administering a dose of a liquid medicament includes an elongate case arranged to be held by a user, a tubular chassis telescopable in the case and biased against the case so as to protrude from the case, a syringe with a hollow injection needle, a drive spring and a plunger for forwarding load of the drive spring to a stopper of the syringe, and a trigger button which is initially abutted against the case thus preventing actuation. The chassis is arranged to translate into the case against the bias when pressed against an injection site. The trigger button is initially coupled to the chassis such that the trigger button emerges from the case when the chassis is being pressed against the injection site to allow actuation by being translated towards the case for starting an injection cycle.
