EXERCISE APPARATUS
An exercise apparatus for the exercise of a user's gluteal muscles though a supported seated squat downward from an upper starting position and an upward return movement. The apparatus includes at least one foot ramp having at least one foot support surface to support substantially all of the user's feet in a position that is elevated off the ground during the exercise. The positioning of the user with the foot ramps in combination with the rest of the exercise apparatus provides numerous benefits to the squat exercise.
Exercise device
An exercise device comprises a frame, two first swing arms, two second swing arms, two pedals, a resistance device, two cranks, two link rods, two limiting rods, and two upper linking assemblies. By arrangement of the above components, the moving path of each pedal can be an elliptical path. In some embodiment, an angle-adjustment device is used to adjust the slope of the elliptical moving path.
Method and apparatus for bi-directional ankle exercise movements
Apparatus for bi-directional ankle exercise movements has a main-frame with a seat and upwardly extending columns at either side to support a “U” shaped sub-frame, mounted so that it pivots about a horizontal axis passing very nearly through the ankles of a seated user and interconnecting linkages simultaneously enforcing ankle inversion, with plantarflexion and then ankle eversion, with dorsiflexion, about perpendicularly intersecting axes, while resisting such movements, so as to provide bidirectional ankle exercises according to a progressive resistance program, thus strengthening the ankle muscle groups for enhanced balance and dynamic stability.
Full body workout device
The present invention relates generally to the field of exercise equipment. More specifically, the present invention relates to an improved full body workout device that is designed to allow a user to exercise every muscle in the body. The device comprises at least two pairs of weighted sliders for the hands and feet of a user, wherein each slider comprises a track ball that allows each slider to slide along a surface such as the ground. Each slider is further comprises plurality of controls to allow the user to lock the track ball in place to make each slider immobile, and may also comprise a control that allows a user to select the intensity of the exercise being performed with the device.
Compact smart phone enabled system for strength and endurance training
This invention is a portable exercise system capable of performing multiple exercises for strength and endurance training. The key component is the force generation unit (FGU) which is small and light enough to be suspended during the exercise yet capable of producing a force of 50 lbs. The FGU is programmable allowing it to generate various force vs distance, time or velocity profiles. Different handles, cables and attachments can be connected or used with the FGU perform different exercises. The FGU can charge its battery from the user's energy during use. The FGU can communicate bidirectionally with computers and smart phones for setup and to track the user's performance. Multiple FGUs may be used simultaneously each performing a separate function. The entire system is small enough to fit in a drawer or suitcase. The accompanying software can track the user's performance and function as an automated personal trainer.
PILATES REFORMER EXERCISE DEVICE
A device for use with an exerciser device, such as a reformer, which permits the adjustment of a resistance system, even when connected to a resistance source, by selectively relieving the resistance force imparted on the resistance adjustment system when changing the resistance and automatically reengaging the resistance force when exercising. A strain relief is coupled to a linkage between the resistance source and the resistance adjuster. When engaged, the strain relief selectively reduces the resistance force transmitted through the linkage to the resistance adjuster to permit movement of the resistance adjuster relative to the purchase. When disengaged the strain relief permits transmission of the resistance force through the linkage to the resistance adjuster.
PEDAL
A pedal for use in pedal exercise equipment such as a bicycle, in which a sole is stably placed on a pedal body while the stepping angle of the sole is adjusted in the right and left directions within a predetermined range. The pedal includes a pedal body; a plurality of brake pads provided at a predetermined interval from each other on the front surface and the rear surface of the pedal body such that one side surface of each of the plurality of brake pads is in contact with the front surface or the rear surface of the pedal body; and inclination control plates respectively positioned at the front side and the rear side of the pedal body, and having a plurality of brake mounting grooves which are formed on one side surface thereof and into which the brake pads are inserted and fixed.
Inner and Outer Thigh Exercise Machine
An exercise device for the inner and outer thighs is discloses that includes a first arm and a second arm that extend from a central rod to allow for pivotal movement about the rod, wherein the first arm and said second arm further include a first and second plates and the plates are positioned on the proximal end of the arms, a resistance element is positioned between the first and second plates, and the arms further include a leg engagement elements on the distal ends of the arms, which provide lateral surfaces on opposite sides that are adapted to be engaged by both inner and outer sides of a human leg and, the device includes a movable flange member attached to the rod that is adapted to impose a variable axial force driving the second plate towards the first plate and compressing the resistance element, thereby creating a resistance to the rotation of said arms with respect to one another.
Device for assisting with extension and/or flexion
Embodiments of the invention are directed to devices and methods for providing extension and flexion assistance. A device manipulates a foot of a user, thereby providing extension or flexion assistance to an ankle of the user, and includes a footplate positioned at a pre-determined distance from the user and adapted to pivot about an axis defined by the ankle as the foot extends or flexes about the ankle; and a force application system comprising a force applicator connected to the footplate, and a force application mechanism, wherein the force application mechanism is configured to apply a force to the force applicator, thereby providing the extension or flexion assistance to the foot about the ankle.
Stretching device
A stretching device comprising: an elongate rigid planar body extending from a first end to a second end, the body further including an upper surface and an opposing lower surface; a first handle located on the upper surface of the body towards the first end of the body; a second handle located on the upper surface of the body towards the second end of the body; a first support located on the lower surface of the body towards the first end of the body; and a second support located on the lower surface of the body towards the second end of the body. The body is spaced above a floor surface by the first support and the second support such that a user may grasp one of the sides of the body.
