Exercise apparatus, kit and method
My exercise apparatus comprises a lower body exercise machine, and an overhead upper body exercise device with a horizontally oriented, rigid handlebar connected to an elastic member suspended overhead. The positioning of the apparatus allows the user, while standing and operating the lower body exercise machine and without lifting the user's body up and off the lower body exercise machine, to operate the upper body exercise device. The user grips the handlebar and simultaneously pulls the handlebar towards the user's chest, stretching the elastic member to lengthen the elastic member, placing the elastic member in tension. Then the user slowly releases the tension and allows the elastic member to shorten in length, thus providing upper body and core muscle strengthening. The combination of the upper body exercise device and the lower body exercise machine provide a comprehensive, full body workout. A kit and method are also disclosed.
Pivoting stepper apparatus
A Pivoting Stepper Apparatus comprising a Frame Structure Member, a Foot Engagement Member, and an optional Resistance Member. The Frame Structure Member is comprised basically of a Base Frame Member and a Guide Platform Member. The Foot Engagement Member is pivotally mounted to the Base Frame Member and mainly comprises two Foot Support Members pivotally coupled together by a lever assembly such that they move in reciprocating upward and downward motions. The lever assembly is a dual lever assembly which keeps the Foot Support Member in a relatively horizontal position while moving upward and downward. The Foot Support Members operatively engage the Guide Platform Member, with the upward and downward movements of the Foot Support Members create the pivoting movement of the Foot Engagement Member, and vice versa. The optional Resistance Member provides resistance in the pivoting motion of the Foot Engagement Member, and thus also in the upward and downward movements of the Foot Support Members.

LOCKING DEVICE FOR RECUMBENT STEPPER
A locking device for an exercise system may include a locking member having a contact portion and configured to move between a first position and a second position. When in the first position, the contact portion of the locking member is not in mechanical communication with the resistance mechanism of the exercise system, thereby allowing movement of the at least one moveable assembly. When in the second position, the contact portion of the locking member is in mechanical communication with the resistance mechanism of the exercise system, thereby preventing movement of the at least one moveable assembly.
Instrumented total body recumbent cross trainer system
A physical exercise device providing a stepper like motion for a user may include a pair of foot pedals and a pair of arms for engagement by the user while seated on the seat of the physical exercise device. The pair of foot pedals and the pair of arms may be connected to a drive train which provides contralateral motion between the pair of arms and the pair of foot pedals. A pedal and arm lock mechanism may also be provided which prevents the pedals and arms to be moved in a lock state, while allowing movement of the pedals and the arms when in the unlock state. The physical exercise device may also include computational and data acquisition units for receiving a position signal and pedal force signals and recording the signals.
TRAINING DEVICE FOR SIMULATING SKI MOVEMENTS
A training apparatus/device has a frame (1) and two elongated pedal elements (2, 3), which are pivotally connected to the frame. The pedal elements are each provided with a footrest (4) and a pedal axle (5) and are, by means of a coupling element (10) connected to each other, so that the pedal elements, in use of the training apparatus, are held parallel to each other. Further, the training apparatus has a transmission mechanism (20), which is connected via the coupling element (10) with the pedal elements, as well as resistance mechanism (40), which is connected to the transmission mechanism and is driven by lateral displacement of the pedal elements. The coupling element (10) is formed by an elongated element, whereby near each of the ends of the pedal elements is connected to the pedal element axles via a ball joint. As a result, this makes the training device less susceptible to interference and compact.
Locking device for recumbent stepper
A locking device for an exercise system may include a locking member having a contact portion and configured to move between a first position and a second position. When in the first position, the contact portion of the locking member is not in contact with the resistance mechanism of the exercise system, thereby allowing movement of the at least one moveable assembly. When in the second position, the contact portion of the locking member is in contact with the resistance mechanism of the exercise system, thereby preventing movement of the at least one moveable assembly. The device may also include an electrical actuating device having an actuator for selectively engaging the locking device and moving the locking device between a first position and a second position.
Collapsible Cycling Exerciser
A collapsible cycling exerciser is an apparatus that effectively exercises a user through full ranges of motion and varied resistance. The apparatus includes a first support post, a second support post, a left handlebar, a right handlebar, a left pedaling mechanism, a right pedaling mechanism, and a torsional resistance mechanism. The first support post and the second support post, together, upholds and positions the user. The left handlebar and the right handlebar guide the linear movement of the arms. The left pedaling mechanism and the right pedaling mechanism guide the rotary movement of the legs. The torsional resistance mechanism applies resistance to the left handlebar, the right handlebar, the left pedaling mechanism, and the right pedaling mechanism. In the preferred embodiment of the apparatus, a hinged connection secures the first support post and the second support post to each other so that the apparatus is collapsible.
Scaffold for a fitness stepper
A scaffold for a fitness stepper comprises a scaffolding plate configured to be installed on the fitness stepper and a mat attached on upper side of the scaffolding plate. The scaffolding plate comprises a separating prevention frame extended from edge of the scaffolding plate and surrounding the mat attached on the upper side of the scaffolding plate and a plurality of protrusions form on the upper side of the scaffolding plate. The mat comprises a plurality of bumps formed on an upper side of the mat, and a plurality of grooves between adjacent bumps of the plurality of bumps. The plurality of protrusion is arranged to form a grid pattern on the upper side of the scaffolding plate. Each protrusion of the plurality of protrusions has a right triangle shape having a right angle and a tilt angle with the upper side of the scaffolding plate.
