WALKING TRAINING SYSTEM AND WALKING TRAINING MACHINE
A walking training system and walking training machine capable of remarkably enhancing the effect of improving an independent walking function are proposed. When a subject having a lower limb functional disorder performs walking training, the degree of dependency on upper limbs can be evaluated by enabling the subject to recognize transitional reductions of a load on a holding part(s) by feeding back the transitional reductions of the load as a sense to feel them.
STRENGTH CALIBRATION
A resistance force is controlled such that a user's effort against the resistance force results in a first isokinetic seed movement, wherein the user is an exercise machine user using an exercise machine. The resistance force required to effect the first isokinetic seed movement is associated with a predetermined force-velocity profile. A strength determination of the user is made based at least in part on the required resistance force and the associated predetermined force-velocity profile.
WEIGHTED SLED
A sled for use in exercise which is pushed by a portion of a user's torso. The device has an extension member extending outwardly from a frame. A pusher member for receiving a portion of the user's torso is mounted to the end of the extension member, the frame has a lift device for reversing the direction of travel. A disc brake provides variable resistance to movement. A strain gauge sensor is used to provide performance information.
Exercise device having sled or wheelbarrow configuration
An exercise device having a sled or wheelbarrow configuration comprises a frame that is pushed across a support surface by a user. The frame carries a wheel that movably supports the frame in the wheelbarrow configuration and at least one skid that movably supports the frame in the skid configuration. A pair of handles is selectively repositionable on the frame from a vertical orientation used in the sled configuration and a horizontal orientation used in the wheelbarrow configuration to quickly and easily convert the device between its different configurations. The frame has a carriage that supports a plurality of exercise weight members with the carriage being movable in a fore-and-aft direction on the frame for changing the effort required from the user to push the frame.
Agility Trainer
An agility trainer apparatus that provides a robotic system that applies forces laterally to a harness worn by a person during walking so as to provide highly controllable interventions targeting locomotor stability.
Resistance harness
A resistance harness that allows 360 of resistance around the body. The strap design allows rings to slide from anterior to posterior or medial to lateral. The rings enable concentric, eccentric, or isometric resistance. This sliding ability allows for resistance to be constant in one direction or changeable. As the ring slides under tension, the muscular recruitment needed to resist will change as the force angle of the ring slides and changes position around the body.
Multi-functional exercise apparatus
A durable and impact-resistant exercise apparatus that is portable, modular, stackable, and weight-adjustable to allow a user to perform a variety of isolated lower body, core, and upper body resistance training exercises as well as full-body strength training exercises to improve a fitness of the user. The exercise apparatus is configured both as a platform for supporting the user during a first plurality of exercises as well as a weighted body for being lifted or moved by the user during a second plurality of exercises.
EXERCISE DEVICE
An exercise bench for use by a person on a support surface includes a base member having a distal end, a proximal end, a top surface, and a bottom surface. A pair of opposing foot restraints is fixed with, and disposed above and laterally away from, the base member. A riser projects upwardly from the proximal end of the base member and includes a calf restrain trolley slidably mounted thereon. A base plate can be fixed with the bottom surface of the base member, and a U-shaped base extension having two legs extending away from the proximal end of the base member can be attached to the proximal end of the base member. A plurality of attachments may be coupled to the bench to provide different exercises.
LEVERAGE TRAINING SLED
A sled leverage training sled in many implementations includes a first elongate member separated by a distance from a second elongate member. The elongate members may be tubes, pipes or other suitable shape that would allow for the leverage training sled to slide along the ground. A leverage training sled may also include a cross member having a first end adjacent to a portion of the first elongate member and a second end adjacent to a portion of the second elongate member. The sled may further include a contact member that extends from a portion of the cross member at a first angle relative to the cross member and is configured to pivot from the first angle to a second angle and an upright member that extends from a portion of the cross member. The leverage training sled may also include a bladder member positioned at a height between a portion of the upright member and a portion of the contact member.
Athletic training platform exercise device
A multi-purpose athletic training platform exercise device is provided. A user may stand atop a platform and exercise while connected to a downward pulling source of resistance. This machine allows the user to walk forwards, backwards and side-to-side freely while still having attachment to the resistance source via a connecting means. This will activate all the muscles in the lower body while tractioning the lower back and helping to reduce pelvic tilt. The resistance may be varied during the user effort. The user is able to step off the machine to climb up or down a step, or walk up and down a ramp that may be provided.
