Double ended exercise device
A portable full body exercise device is described. The device can be affixed inside a door jamb from either end to perform a variety of exercises and can also be used to exercise free of a door on a chair, bed, or mat. This versatile device is comprised of a handle at one end, an elastic membrane (middle portion), and a double loop/door attachment end. The design of the device allows the resistance of the elastic membrane to be altered from both ends, allowing more or less resistance to be achieved by altering the elastic membrane's overall length.
Exercise equipment
The exercise equipment includes a base, a resilient element, and a positioning mechanism. The base has two bodies which are selectively movable relatively. The two sides of the resilient element are connected to the two bodies. The positioning mechanism is adapted for operation to control the movement of the two bodies.
Lower body exercise device
An exercise device includes a resilient compression member configured to be placed between inner thighs of a user and resist a compressive force from the inner thighs and gluteals of the user. The exercise device also includes a resilient tension member configured to couple to opposing sides of the compression member, form a first portion of a loop around the compression member and outer thighs of the user, and resist a tensile force from the outer thighs of the user. The exercise device also includes an extension member configured to connect with opposing ends of the tension member to form a second portion of the loop around the compression member and outer thighs of the user.
HIP LOADING EXERCISE BOARD
A hip loading board for exercise includes linear-motion elements. The linear-motion elements include linear-motion bearing motion elements (e.g. a linear slide). One or more linear-motion elements of the hip loading board can be designed to provide free motion in one direction. Example linear slides (compound slides, dovetail slides, rack slides, ball bearing-based slides, magnetic slides, etc.) can be non-motorized dovetail slides, ball bearing slides, roller slides, etc. that provide a low-friction linear movement. The hip loading board can include one or more interchangeable resistance elements that provide a force to return a moving plate to a start position. The interchangeable resistance elements may also provide a linear resistance (e.g. any material which creates a constant resistance or tension, variable resistance or tension, etc.).
Physical therapy device for lower limbs and therapeutic methods thereof
The invention concerns a device and methods for unilateral or bilateral physical therapy of lower limbs of a person. The device comprises a curved rail mounted on a base and a pair of support members on which the legs are disposed. The curved rail is configured to allow lateral movements of the lower limbs with the support members, the lateral movements being driven by a force of the lower limbs. The initial reinforcement of the lower limbs of the person is improved by the use of this device, which reduces friction or resistance caused by the device during prescribed movements. The invention provides to patients with severe lower limb disability a physical therapy device that is easy to use with minimum supervision by a physical therapist.
PORTABLE STRETCHING EQUIPMENT
A portable stretching apparatus includes a central support frame. The frame defines a top and legs extending from the top towards a relatively wider base. The legs form part of the sides of the frame. A seat is fixed on the top of the support frame. Hand grips are provided on either side of the seat. First and second support arms are pivotally mounted to opposite sides of the top of the central support frame. The first arm can be fixed in several angular orientations. The angular position of the second arm is substantially continuously variable. A control moves the angular position of the second arm while a person is on the apparatus. A restraint locks or restrains the person's foot or leg on at least one side of the frame.
EXERCISE APPARATUS
The present invention provides for an exercise apparatus comprising a pair of footplates arranged for reciprocal movement on respective support means, the support means extending outwardly from either side of a central frame portion of the apparatus, the footplates being arranged to receive a pair of human feet and so as to be moved by a user in a reciprocal manner in the direction of the support means as part of an exercise routine, and wherein the apparatus includes handgrip portions extending from the central frame portion of the apparatus, the handgrip portions being arranged for movement, such as for example upward and/or downward movement against a resilient bias during the exercise routine.
Stowable lower body fitness apparatus providing enhanced muscle engagement, body stability and range of motion
A collapsible lower body fitness apparatus is disclosed, providing enhanced gluteal muscle engagement, body stability, and range of motion. The apparatus includes a base, a frame, a line-swiveling assembly, and a gripping device that is horizontally displaced from the line-swiveling assembly's swivel axis, allowing a user to stabilize themselves in tripod posture during exercise. Thus a user can perform full range of motion for any combination of hip extension and hip abduction under resistance transmitted by a line, all from a central standing position that substantially straddles the swivel axis. This functional framework of elements can be realized through a variety of possible embodiments. While the frame provides space for leaning during exercise, it may otherwise vary in structural design. In all cases, the frame can be collapsed into a stowable position that is substantially parallel with and adjacent to the base, thereby rendering the apparatus portable and stowable.
Exercise apparatus
The present invention provides a multifunctional exercise apparatus for allowing a user to perform rowing exercise or other exercises. The exercise apparatus includes a frame, a sliding seat, a cord winder, a spiral spring connected to the cord winder, a cord connected to the cord winder, a flywheel for generating an exercise resistance, and one-way transmission mechanism connected between the cord winder and the flywheel. The user is able to seat on the sliding seat and slide backward and forward in accord with repeating movement of pulling the cord to perform the rowing exercise, or having lower limbs partially press upon the sliding seat and two hands grasp gripping portions at a front end of the frame to perform other exercises such as stretching exercises. When performing other exercises, a distal end of the cord is connected to the sliding seat and backward movement of the sliding seat would drive the flywheel.
Lower extremity receiving device for providing enhanced leg mobility during lower body exercise
A lower extremity receiving device is disclosed, which facilitates enhanced gluteal muscle engagement, body stability, and range of motion. The device includes a self-standing sling that can stand upright and ready to receive a user's lower extremity and enable them to commence any combination of hip extension or hip abduction with proper form upon inserting their foot, the sling including a heel socket that surrounds and facilitates rotational movement of the user's heel during the applicable hip extension exercise, and a resistance harness connected to the sling and capable of engaging a resistance-transmitting line for exercise, the harness having a clearance space for providing clearance for a user's foot as they alternately insert or remove their foot. This functional framework of elements enables a user to perform full range of combination of hip extension and hip abduction under resistance, via hands-free insertion of either foot into the sling.
