TRICEPS PRESS EXERCISE MACHINE WITH A MOVING USER SUPPORT
An exercise machine for performing triceps press exercises, including a moving user support that supports the user in a seated position. The exercise machine includes a linkage assembly that allows the user support to tilt as the user performs a triceps press exercise. As the user extends his or her arms from the exercise starting position to the exercise ending position, the user support frameand thus the user's torsoreclines progressively backwards. The user's natural reaction to this reclining sensation is to bring his or her head forward, which encourages the user to plant his or her lower back firmly into a stable position against the back pad and in turn reduces the risk of injury associated with excessively arching of the lower back.
Portable exercise machine
A portable exercise machine is provided for rotator cuff exercise. The portable exercise machine includes a flat board having an upper surface and a U-shaped cutout for receiving a torso of a user. A pair of opposing, rotatable arms are affixed to the upper surface of the flat board. The distal end of each arm includes a handle adapted to be grasped by a user and the proximal end of each arm is pivotally coupled to a steel coil. The steel coil provides resistance against the rotation of the distal end of the arms. The steel coil can be removably affixed to an inner connection region or an outer connection region of the flat board. The outer connection region provides resistance for inward movement of the arms and the inner connection region provides resistance for outward movement of the arms.
Exercising apparatus
An apparatus is disclosed for enabling an operator to exercise comprising a frame having a body, a base and a top. A load is positioned on the frame for providing a resistive force. A press is positioned on the frame for displacement by the operator. A linkage joins the load with the press for displacing the load upon displacement of the press by the operator. An arm extends between a support end and a user end. A support pivot secures the support end of the arm to the top of the frame for pivoting the arm about the frame. A user interface inputs and outputs data. A user pivot securing the user interface to the user end of the arm for pivoting the user interface about the arm.
GYM CAGE
An exercise apparatus has at least one vertical wall structure, a floor and a ceiling forming a cage that can be square, rectangular, circular, oval or another suitable configuration. An arrangement of strategically placed attachment points on the wall structure, floor and ceiling enables easy attachment and detachment of a variety of resistance devices (e.g., a handheld and/or inline cable operated resistance creation device, or a stretch band resistance device) to any of the vertical and/or horizontal structures within the gym cage, thereby providing a nearly 360 degree dimensional point of resistance to perform a wide variety of exercises for different muscle groups and subgroups of the body. In one embodiment, the cage includes an arrangement of spaced apart vertical and horizontal frame members forming a rear wall and opposite side walls.
Methods of utilizing strengthening and rehabilitation apparatus
Strengthening and rehabilitation apparatus and methods of use. A strengthening and rehabilitation apparatus includes a base, a shaft having a distal end portion and a proximal end portion pivotably coupled to the base, a rest structure rotatably coupled to the distal end portion of the shaft. A method of use includes adjusting resistance of a joint within the base to provide a selected degree of resistance for restricting movement of the shaft relative to the base, supporting a first portion of a user's body on the rest structure, and moving the rest structure with the first portion of the user's body supported thereon along an exercise pathway, thereby moving the shaft relative to the base with the selected degree of resistance and rotating the rest structure relative to the shaft as the shaft moves relative to the base.
WEIGHT STACK PUSHUP EXERCISE DEVICE
An exercise machine is provided for developing the chest muscles while maintaining correct biomechanical posture and joint movement for the user, thereby maximizing efficiency and safety. The exercise machine includes a track on which two platforms independently slide. The platforms are each interconnected to a weight stack unit or other vertical resistance unit that provide resistance to the inward movement of the platforms. Each platform may also be connected to a tension element or resistance band that is configured to provide gradual and progressively increased resistance as the platforms are moved inwardly towards the center or center stop of the track.
Physical Therapy Device and Methods for Use Thereof
The present application relates to a physical therapy device to strengthen and prevent atrophy in muscles for use while seated in a chair or a wheelchair or while lying in a bed. The physical therapy device includes a back rest; right and left upper arm rests coupled to the back rest by a first connector; and right and left lower arm rests coupled to the right and left upper arm rests, respectively, by a second connector. Each lower arm rest comprises a handle. Each upper arm rest is configured to move towards the back rest at the first connector to fold flush against the back rest. The physical therapy device further comprises an extender coupled to the back rest; right and left upper leg units coupled to the extender by a third connector; and right and left lower leg units coupled to the right and left upper leg units, respectively, by a fourth connector. Each lower leg unit comprises a stirrup.
MULTI-PURPOSE EXERCISE BENCH WITH VERSATILE RESISTANCE ACCESSORY
A multi-purpose exercise bench having a versatile resistance accessory configurable for use to provide weight-training resistance in a variety of exercises is provided. A multi-purpose exercise bench comprises: an elongated frame configured to rest on a flat floor in a stable manner; a lower seat portion supported on the frame; a resistance accessory mounted to the frame, the resistance accessory comprising: a pad movably mounted to the frame to be movable between a first position and a second position; a locking mechanism operable to lock the pad in either of the first position and the second position; and a plurality of resistance bands attached to the pad. A multi-purpose exercise system include the multi-purpose exercise bench and an exercise bar defining at least one groove dimension to receive at least one receiver ring attached to at least one of the resistance bands.
Exercise assembly
An exercise assembly includes a grippable member that may be held by a person while the person is walking to facilitate the engagement of upper body muscles. A plurality of weights is provided and a selected number of the weights is removably positioned within the grippable member. The weights provide a selectable amount of resistance to the person while the person holds the grippable member. A weapon is removably positioned within one of the grippable member to be utilized by the person for defense purposes.
