RECIPROCATING ARM MOTION WALKER
A wheeled ambulatory aid for mobility and training which is advanced via bodily contact. Reciprocating UE movement is enabled and reciprocating gait patterns can be performed. The patient mobility aid includes a frame, and at least first and second wheels operatively secured to and supporting the frame for selective rolling movement. First and second support assemblies are located on first and second sides of the frame, respectively. A reverse motion linkage operatively associated with the first and second support assemblies, the reverse motion linkage including a first state configured to provide independent between the first and second support assemblies, and a second state configured to provide interrelated movement between the first and second support assemblies to create symmetrical out of phase reciprocating UE movement. Support assemblies can variably be statically positioned.
Systems And Methods For Facilitating Rehabilitation And Exercise
In one embodiment, an exercise system includes a user interface device sized and configured to fit within a user's hand, the user interface device including a microcontroller configured to control operation of the device, a first sensor configured to sense movements of the device, a second sensor configured to sense forces applied to the device, and a communication device configured to communicate data concerning the sensed movements and forces to a separate device.
EXERCISE MACHINE HAVING ELASTIC EXERCISE RESISTANCE CABLES
There is provided an exercise machine. The machine includes an upright mounting assembly having a top and a bottom spaced-apart from the top. The machine includes a seat operatively connected to the mounting assembly. The machine includes a first pair of space-apart pulley assemblies rotatably mounted adjacent to the top of the mounting assembly. The machine includes a second pair of spaced-apart pulley assemblies rotatably mounted adjacent to the bottom of the mounting assembly. The machine includes a plurality of exercise resistance cables connected at proximal end portions to the mounting assembly and extending around and outward from the pulley assemblies.
Exercise Machine With Variable Resistance System
The exercise machine with a variable resistance system includes a frame, an exercise implement movably connected to the frame, a main shaft rotatably connected to the frame, a main connector attached between the main shaft and the exercise implement, a plurality of resistance assemblies and a plurality of actuation assemblies adapted for selectively engaging or disengaging at least one of the plurality of resistance assemblies with respect to the main shaft. The plurality of resistance assemblies apply a total level of rotational resistance against the main shaft based on which of the plurality of resistance assemblies are engaged with the main shaft by the plurality of actuation assemblies.
EXERCISE MACHINE WITH LIFTING ARM
An exercise machine has a main frame and a user support movably mounted relative to the main frame for movement between a start position and an end position during an exercise. At least one user engagement device is movably mounted relative to the main frame for engagement and actuation by a user during an exercise, and a connecting linkage translates movement of the user engagement device to movement of the user support. A lifting arm is movably mounted relative to the main frame and associated with at least one of the user support, user engagement device, and connecting linkage so as to move during an exercise. A load associated with the lifting arm provides exercise resistance.
Device for physical exercise
A training equipment for resistance training of the upper body, wherein the training equipment comprises: an attachment portion adapted to be attached to the body of an exercising person, a handle portion adapted to be gripped by the exercising person, a first distance device flexibly attached in the attachment portion by a first joint, a second distance device flexibly attached in the first distance device by a second joint. At least one of: the first joint, the second joint, the first distance device, and the second distance device comprises an adjustable movement resistance device adapted to create an adjustable resistance between the attachment portion and the handle portion, so that training of the upper body is obtained upon movement of the handle portion.
TRAINING DEVICE
A training device for maintaining or improving physical fitness comprises a first main element and a second main element, wherein the first main element and the second main element for training a user are manually movable in relation to one another in at least one activation direction of the training device. The training device furthermore has at least one damping installation for damping a relative movement between the first main element and the second main element, said damping installation being effective between the first main element and the second main element.
Apparatus for isometric and incremental muscle contractions
A resistance exercise apparatus comprising a mechanism for allowing the machine to inhibit in intervals along a range of motion for an amount of time, movement in a direction caused by an external force applied to a movable surface on the machine, while allowing movement of the surface in the opposite direction to the external force, wherein said movable surface is linked to a resistance source.
SHOULDER REHABILITATION DEVICE
Embodiments described herein are directed to a device and method of using the device for shoulder rehabilitation.
